Sunshine held Felix’s hand and whispered, “Why don’t we go on the Internet and see what your daddy did to Mommy?”

“O-Okay,” Felix mumbled.

They entered Sunshine’s bedroom, where she opened up her laptop’s search bar.

“What’s your daddy’s name?” Sunshine asked.

“Bradley Warner,” Felix answered.

Although Sunshine spoke fluent English, she had slight trouble spelling Bradley’s name correctly.

Felix took over the laptop and typed in Bradley’s name, and a lot of news about him in the business world came up.

Sunshine looked at a photo of Bradley wearing gold-framed glasses and criticized, “Wow… He looks like a fox in sheep’s clothing!”

Felix furrowed his brows, reading the news about Bradley with a serious expression.

The latest piece of news was a post Bradley had made, which became popular due to his handsome looks.

“He wants Mommy to beg him? T-That’s so bad of him!” Felix felt even more hurt at that point. He realized they were never going to get back together.

There was much news about Bradley, but Felix and Sunshine could only read about how Bradley treated Esther. They were children, after all.

“Felix, your daddy’s a big meanie! He kept Mommy prisoner!” Sunshine cried, pointing at a broadcast of Esther’s reddened wrists. “Look at how red Mommy’s hands are!”

Felix took a closer look and saw the bruises and cuts on Esther. He shed a tear at the sight.

Sunshine continued to scroll through the news and cried, “Felix, I feel so bad for Mommy. What could she have done to be with a crazy man like your daddy?”

Felix stammered, “M-My Daddy’s not crazy!”

Sunshine looked at Felix in confusion at the sight of his retaliation. “Are you crying?”

“I’m not.” Felix’s tears welled up from the extreme sadness he felt.

He finally understood why his mother had said she was unhappy. Of course, she would be after all the bad things his father had done to her! All Felix wanted was for his mother to live happily ever after!

“We must treat Mommy better, Felix,” Sunshine said.

Felix nodded.

Sunshine added, “You’ve got to protect Mommy whenever your daddy bullies her, understand?

Sunshine pulled out a tissue and handed it to him. “Stop crying already! Men don’t shed tears!

“Sunshine… What if Daddy doesn’t want to help Mommy find Pixie?” Felix asked.

Sunshine took out a wand and said, “Don’t tell anyone this, but this is a magician’s wand that can help us steal Pixie back…”

“It can!?” Felix exclaimed.

Sunshine nodded and whispered her plans, “That’s right, listen…”

Felix’s eyes lit up as he excitedly said, “Then let’s go steal Pixie right away!”

“No, we can’t…” Sunshine replied.

Sunshine opened up a map and continued. “We’d be two children walking on the streets, so we’d either come across bad people on the way or get caught by police officers. Either way, Mommy would be worried…”

Felix suddenly had a bright idea and said, “We could ask Mr. Detective for help!
