“Then what happened to the surveillance footage?”

Esther could not figure this out. She had not done anything. Why did the evidence that was the hospital surveillance footage show that she had removed Thomas’ oxygen mask?

“Esther put the lighter down, and I’ll tell you.” Liliane’s wet eyes were smiling teasingly like a cat catching a mouse. “Please, Esther.”

Esther looked at Liliane, who was showing her true colors, and abruptly put her guard up.

Something was off! Liliane felt off.

What did she want?

Suddenly, Liliane reached out and turned off the communication line connecting the nurse station in the hospital room. She approached Esther, who was extremely weak. Her voice sounded like a ghost with a sinister, murderous aura.

As her hand gripped Esther’s collar tightly and her crimson lips went close to Esther’s ear, she said in a chilling tone, “Esther, don’t you want to know how I fooled everyone back then?”

Esther clutched the lighter and roared in anger, “Speak louder. I can’t hear you.”

Liliane wiped away the tears on the corners of her eyes and looked at Esther with a smile. She said one word at a time slowly, “Esther, what will your obsession with the truth bring you?”

Liliane’s next words were heart-wrenching.

“Even if you force me to tell you the truth you want to know, Brad still won’t believe it.” Liliane’s red lips parted as she spoke, and her eyes sparkled with a sense of joy and satisfaction as if she were slaughtering her enemy. “Esther, do you want to know how that old b*stard died?”

Taking advantage of Esther’s body as her cover, Liliane lightly pulled the oxygen tube under Felix’s nose and yanked it out with gnashed teeth.

“Back then, 1 yanked that old b*stard’s oxygen mask like that too.”

A vicious and icy smirk gleamed in Liliane’s eyes. Just as Esther was stunned by her cruel words, Liliane grabbed Esther’s body and forcefully pushed her face in front of Felix.

“Esther, have you seen his face clearly?”

Liliane was somewhat too full of herself. She even wanted Esther to kill Felix in front of her.

When Esther killed Felix, she would tell Esther that Felix was her own son. She would kill her by stabbing her heart! Nothing could be more perfect than that!

“Kill him if you’re that capable!” Liliane leaned close to Esther’s car and spoke using a very low voice, like a demon enticing a kind angel. “Unfortunately, you dare not! A useless person like you can’t do it!

A strange feeling rose in Esther’s heart. She always felt that Liliane’s attitude toward Felix was somewhat strange. It was completely unlike the way a mother would treat her child!

“Liliane, whose child is Felix?”

After saying that, Esther, who had been holding on, could no longer support herself and spat at mouthful of blood on Liliane’s face before she fainted next to Felix’s pillow.

Liliane wiped the blood off her face with her hand and pushed the barely breathing Esther. She turned around and shouted to the monitoring camera, “Brad, Felix is okay now.”

Liliane knew that the door of the ward was locked from the outside and could not be opened by others.

This was the best time for her to reveal the secret.

She leaned close to Esther’s ear and slowly revealed a shocking secret. “Esther, Felix is actually your and Bradley’s biological son!”
