Esther was livid and could not resist shouting, âYou! Pervert!â
Influenced by the effects of the drug, her voice carried a hint of coquettishness.
âDamn it! I canât stand it anymore!â The manâs lips moved closer to Estherâs, and she involuntarily retched at the nauseating smell of cigarettes and alcohol on his breath.
Seeing this, the man grew even angrier and slapped Esther. âB*tch! What are you playing at?â
Estherâs mouth was instantly flooded with the metallic taste of blood. She spat at him with force, her voice seething with rage. âYouâre pathetic! Youâve never been truly loved by a woman in your life, have you?â
âShut up!â The manâs eyes turned bloodshot as if Estherâs words had struck a hidden wound.
Esther looked at him mockingly and retorted, âDo you even know what itâs like to be loved? Or to love someone? You donât! Youâre just an animal driven by lust.â
The man grabbed Estherâs hair, yanking her head back to gaze into his blood-red eyes. âWoman, do you think Iâll let you go now?â
Esther laughed coldly. âLet me go? You wonât! Humans possess restraint, but animals like you only know indulgence.â
As Esther spoke, her fingers dug painfully into her waist. The sharp pain momentarily cleared her drug-
hazed mind.
The manâs eyes became even more terrifyingly red. He angrily grabbed a little glass bottle full of candies and forcefully stuffed the rest into Estherâs mouth.
âB*tch, you think youâre tough? Letâs see how long you last!â
The man got up, swaggered to his liquor cabinet, and poured himself a glass of red wine.
Seeing the opportunity, Esther scrambled off the bed and stumbled toward the door, her movements unsteady and awkward. But when she finally reached it, her slender fingers trembled at the lock, unable to open it.
âItâs an electronic lock. Without the fingerprint or code, you wonât be able to open it from the inside,â the man declared sinugly.
Dizzy and disoriented, Esther stumbled barefoot into the bathroom and managed to lock the door behind her. Crouching feebly on the toilet, she desperately tried to force herself to vomit the candies she had just swallowed.
It was futile.
In a moment of despair, she turned on the cold shower, allowing the icy water to drench her. Her body shivered uncontrollably, yet the frigid water only fueled the fire within her. She felt as though she was lost in a scorching desert, forsaken and desperate.
âSave me. Who will save me?â
Esther sat in a bathroom corner, holding her knees close. Her whole body burned, and her blood felt like it was on fire. She bit her arm, tasting fresh blood mixed with cold water.
The man finished his wine and then used a key to unlock the bathroom door. Esther confronted him, gripping the showerhead like a weapon. He swiftly took it from her and pulled her out of the bathroom.
âQuite the toughie, arenât you?â He sneered and smiled sinisterly. âBut I do love breaking spirited girls like you!â
As he spoke, he loomed over Esther, casting a shadow that seemed to engulf her.
Esther closed her eyes in despair, her breath catching in her throat.
But then, a sudden loud crash echoed through the room.
The manâs body fell heavily onto her, like a boulder tumbling down. Estherâs eyes snapped open, and she saw Bradley standing there, silhouetted against the light.
