Amber's POV

"Mom! I'm home!" I shouted as I made my way to open the fridge and decided get a cold drink, a really cold drink. My mouth dried out since I left Sam's neighborhood. Jeez, today has certainly been an eventful day. I just had my first formal talk with Sammy. I mean Samantha Jones and I even got the chance to drive her home. She's definitely a gem. Her thin kissable lips, her silvery blue eyes, her perfect blonde hair, her alluring scent. Her positive vibe. Her captivating smile. Everything about her is just amazing. I never thought that this day would happen. But thank God it did.

"Honey, I'm going out tonight." I heard my mom as she goes down the stairs. I quickly give her a kiss. Oh. Mom's got a date.

"Looking sexy. Who's the lucky guy?"

My mom is in her sleeveless black dress that ends just above her knee.

"His from work. Remember Luis? The guy you met when you visited me on my office week ago?"

"Oh! The hot blonde guy in tux?" I wiggled my eyebrows as I waited my mom's reaction?"

"Yes." My mom blushed.

"Well, I need to meet him okay? Asked him to have dinner with us next weekend." I need to know if he's serious with my mom or not or I'll kick his ass without mercy.

"Honey, we're not that serious. This is just a simple dinner." My mom countered.

"Still.. You accepted his offer so his definitely something. I know you mom. You won't just date anybody.

"Alright. I'll tell him to study martial arts. I'll also let him know that your a black belter. How's that?"

"Great! Can't wait to meet him."

"For a daughter, you're over protective you know? Well.. I don't want to be late honey. Your dinner is in the fridge. I love you. Don't wait up okay?"

"Oooohhhh tonight's gonna be a goodnight huh?" I added mockingly. I just love to tease my mom. She just rolled her eyes and my mom was just about to get her coat from the rack when I stop her.

"Mom?"

"Yes?"

"Seriously.. I'm happy that your going out with someone now. I really am. You know I just want you to be happy. That's all I wish. If he can make you happy then I'm all for him. However... if he make you cry or upset even just for a little bit, I'll make his life a living hell mom. I love you so much and I can't bare seeing you sad. One more thing though.."

"No french kissing on a first date okay?" I added to lighten up the mood.

"Amber!"

"Go Mom! You'll be late!"

"I love you too honey. Come here! Give me a kiss and a hug of good luck."

I hug my mom and kiss her on the cheek.

"Alright! Enjoy the night! Be safe."

"Bye honey! Sleep early so you won't be late tomorrow!"

"I will."

I'm excited to be at school tomorrow because of what happened today. I'll definitely won't be late. I'm just really happy that my mom is giving her a heart a second chance. She dedicated her life to me and her career. I didn't get the chance to remember my dad because he died in a car accident when I was 2 years old. My mom always tell me that he's very loving husband and a father. She once said that I'm somewhat just like my dad in terms of my protectiveness and sweetness. I don't remember my mom saying anything bad about my dad. Mom would always assure me that if he's still living, he'll be the best father in whole wide world. I just wish that he is still here. Though I don't seek for a father figure because my mom has done a great job doing both parts.

Amber's POV

"Hi Mr. Ferrin!" Mandy greeted our teacher excitingly.

"Ahh.. Ms. Morgan and Ms. Smith! I'm surprise that you forgot to be late today.."

I rolled my eyes at his comment. It's as if that were doing it purposely.

"Of course! I told you Sir that we won't be late today! Mandy added with her high level energy.

"Jeez.. Mands stop."

Mandy smiled at me widely.

"You have to tell me everything at lunch.." She whispered to me eyeing Samantha at the back.

"Yeah.. Yeah.. Just shut up."

I smiled to myself remembering the things that happened yesterday.

Amber's POV

"So what happened? Oh my god! Did you two kissed? Did you confess your crush to her? Have you propose!!!??"

"NOOO!! Can you just lower down your voice.. Jeez Mands.. Propose!?? Are you serious??? I whispered violently.

"What??? I know you've been silently stalking her for 3 years now. Don't even deny it! "

"Sssshhhhh.." I just want to get a black bag and put Mandy in it. She's making this very obvious.

"Hey! What are you two talking about??" Sarah asked as she sat beside me.

"Nothing."

"Amber's crush."

We both answered the same time.

I'll definitely kill Mandy now.

"Hey what's that for???" I kick Mandy's foot to shut her up.

"Yeah. Nothing." Mandy said glaring at me.

The rest of the gang completed our table. I manage to kick Mandy discreetly whenever she tries to open Samantha and I's topic.

"What's wrong with the both of you?" Zach asked eyeing Mandy and I.

"Well.." Mandy started..

"Mands.. Please.." I begged her not to tell anything.

"Amber, I just want to help okay? and I know these guys can help too. Right guys?" Mandy asked for everyone's assurance.

"Of course!" Zach yelled.

"Is it about your crush?" Sarah asked giggling with Claire and Zia.

"Ohhhh someone has amber's eyes. So who's the lucky girl?" Gina added poking my cheeks.

"Is it another blonde?" Mike chuckled along with Andy.

"I'll bet 10 bucks that she's blonde." Andy added looking at me with a smirk. I'll do a mental note that I'll bury this two with Mandy.

Only Andy, Mike and Mandy met my ex-girlfriend. They assume that I have hot eyes with blondes. Though it's not the case because I'll die to kiss Mila Kunis and Megan Fox.

Everyone at our table were asking me now. Thanks again Mandy. Ugh.

"It's nothing serious guys. Let it go." I know I won't get to stand in this table without telling them. So I eventually told them what happened yesterday.

"See! They're cute together right? There meant to be. I just knew it." Mandy clapped both of her hands and put at daydreaming face towards me.

"Ugh. Please don't tell anyone. Okay guys? I know you just want to help. But I don't want Sam to know this from other people except from me. I'll tell her my feelings once I'm sure of it.

But right now. Please let me just handle this. Okay?" I asked for my friends assurance. I want to ask Samantha in my own time. I don't want to feel pressured about this especially that Samantha is the only girl I have eyes for since I broke up with my ex-girlfriend four years ago. I never had a bad break-up experience. It just so happened that my ex girlfriend's family need to move states and we both agreed to break things instead of having long distance relationship. We're also too young at that time for that kind of commitment so It's really a mutual decision and we're still friends though with no communication. Ally insisted for us not to communicate anymore. I respected that. I respected her for that because we both know that it would be harder for the both of us if we keep in touch and she's right.

"Amber, of course we won't get ahead of you!!! I just want't to open this this thing up to the rest of our friends so that I will have someone to talk to when I feel like puking rainbows with you and sam's sweetness."

"Jeez! Mandy! Shut up! You're unbelievable!"

The rest of our group laugh along with Mandy's craziness. Ugh. Everyone's insane.
