It was three in the morning. Attention all students we have a breach in the main wall, please get to the shed as rehearsed, this is not a drill, I repeat this is NOT a drill. The voice stopped.
"What the hell?" Aries got up, rubbing his eyes. "Did she say there was a breach in the wall?" Aries said in a rushed tone. Aquarius wished that wasn't what the lady said but it was. She gulped and nodded.
"Shit! We need to leave now!" He grabbed his backpack and stuffed a bunch of stuff in it, not caring if it was necessary or not. "Let's go!" He shouted. Aquarius grabbed her staff and exited the room.
"AQUARIUS!" She heard Taurus's voice call from down the hallway, he was with Capricorn who seemed nervous and fidgety. She followed the three of them until they got to the shed.
Thank god that the girls and the rest of the boys were already there. Everyone was huddled to the ground, praying to God that the infected wouldn't get through. Virgo sat next to Aquarius and whispered to her "I experimented with Ophichus's blood, yes I know that sound terrible but his blood contains something that prevents him from getting infected!"
Virgo was excited she discovered something that could save there lives. "What's it called?" Aquarius kept her voice low. "Well it doesn't have a name so for now he has the blood type X." Virgo thought of the type on the spot.
"Blood type X?" Aqua asked. "I don't know if there are others down there but if they are they might have to same blood type. It seems long amount of exposure to the infected has rendered them immune to bite scratches, and any contact with them." Virgo explained her theory.
"Then you could create a possible cu-." Aqua was cut off by Libra's loud voice. "My team come with me." She announced. The group got up and followed her.
"Listen, if the infected get through I want you to hold them off, your the strongest team I have had in awhile." Libra was rushing. "Is that a compliment? From the great Libra?" Leo acted surprised.
"Shut your pretty little mouth! Now is not the time for jokes." She hissed. Virgo felt like she should tell Libra about her discovery. "Libra...I think I found something that may eliminate the infected." She said in a quiet tone.
Libra stared her down. "What?" Virgo gulped at the intimidation and explained the blood type and the possibility of a cure. "We will split into teams then." Libra said. Everyone's eyes widened but didn't dare interrupt.
"Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Pisces. You will be looking for other people out there." She ordered. "But we just got back!" Taurus whined. "SHUT. IT." She wasn't playing games.
"Me, Sagittarius, Cancer, Scorpio, Aries, Hescus, and Ophichus. Will stay back and fight." She whipped out the rifle she got from Ophichus. "Lastly, Gemini, Capricorn, Virgo, go figure out that damn cure!" She yelled. "But won't she need me for the cure?" Ophichus questioned.
"Oh yea....go ahead with them." She sounded a bit disappointed. The groups split up and went to do there designated job.
"How are we going to get through the wall with infected blocking it." Aquarius asked while jogging. "Through the front door, duh?" Leo snickered. Aquarius was about to yell at him but he said "JUST KIDDING! I know another way." He took a sharp right, away from the wall.
They came upon a small door, not even tall enough to walk in straight they would have to duck. "You sure?" Taurus raised his eyebrows. "When have I been wrong." He said. "Do you really want me to list things?" Taurus squinted his eyes.
"Ok ok but I'm sure, I have snuck out once or twice." Leo turned the knob. On the otherside was the same scene as before, the world looked dead, the sky's were cloudy and black and the air still smelled like rotten bodies.
"Here we go again." Aquarius sighed.
The fighting group had all their weapons ready and were as prepared as possible. The wall thudded as the infected pounded on it, able to smell the delicious food from within. The wall began to crack and then the crack spread.
They were almost through. It sounded as if the infected were literally throwing themselves at the wall, desperate to enter, desperate to eat. The crack gave in and the metal wall that had protected them for years had collapsed.
"Well, fuck." Aries cursed. There were so many. They looked different, they looked smarter, stronger, and had an even stronger drive to eat. The virus was mutating. Libra fired her first shot at a tall infected who was unnaturally muscular and seemed to have a permanent smile etched on his face.
The bullet penetrated his skull. Libra swore she heard a laugh before he collapsed to the ground. The infected began slowly inching their way to them. "ATTACK!" Libra let out a war cry.
Bullets were shot, puncheswere delivered, and arrows have made their mark. In 60 seconds flat they wiped out a layer of the hoard. Scorpio swung his long sword with fearsome power, cleanly taking the heads off of five.
Aries shot many right through the head, not wasting a single bullet. Hescus fired a bomb arrow taking out about ten infected. Cancer was kicking with enough force to shatter a cinder block, she broke bones, faces, and skulls, leaving them to fall to ground broken and battered.
Sagittarius was dodging scratches and bites he gave an uppercut to the infected and he could hear the bone crack as he made contact, he had broken it's jaw, but it kept moving. He gave another punch to its face, he heard another crack, it's nose.
The infected stumbled but kept going. A final arrow went through its head, finishing it off. He turned to thank Hescus and she just nodded back.
The search group was looking around for at least and hour or so. "Guys look!" Pisces pointed out another house that was lit up. "That's not a good idea." Leo rolled is eyes.
They slowly approached the house, careful not to startle whoever was in there. They politely rang the doorbell. (Lol) Rushed footsteps and the sound of pots and pans falling echoed.
The curtains whooshed, they heard a series of locks being unlocked. "At least they were secure." Taurus sighed. The door slowly opened with hesitation.
"Who are you?" An elderly female voice said. "I'm Aquarius, this is Leo, Taurus, and Pisces. We are from the ODV academy and we are currently having a breach in our security and recently found out information about people who have lived down here since the Virus started." Aquarius explained.
"We need people like you to help us, to stop the virus once and for all." Aqua tried to make it convincing. "What's special about us?" The door opened fully revealing a old lady in her fifties her face showed that she was beautiful back in her day.
"You guys have special blood, that could kill the virus." Aqua winced, realizing that sounded a bit off. "If we come with you? You may be able to stop the virus?" The old women ur he hands together. "Yes if you come with us." Aqua replied.
"We?" Leo raised and eyebrow. "Yes we." The old lady smiled. "Children come downstairs." The women called. Small footsteps were heard. Five children appeared and were between the ages of 7-12. "I found them a long time ago and decided to take care of them." The old lady put her hand on a seven year olds head.
"Ready to go?" Aqua asked. "Yes!" The children said at the same time "lead the way, darling." The women said sweetly. Aquarius smiled and lead the way.
