Aquarius and her group rushed as fast as possible to get the people to Virgo. They made it in record time. "Virgo we found a bunch of people!" Aquarius said while almost kicking the door down.
"How many?" Virgo said not taking her eyes off the beaker. "Six." Aqua counted. "Perfect, make them sit on the bed." Virgo pointed to the hospital beds, they were in the local hospital.
Aquarius gently settled them down and then went to Virgo. "How close are you ?" Aqua asked. "I'm almost there but I'm missing something." Virgo groaned in annoyance.
"Maybe you need some blood from the infected? You know to neutralize the effect?" Leo shrugged. That was the smartest thing he had said in awhile.
"Your right!" She began making calculations. "Get me an infected." She looked at Leo. "Does it have to be alive?" He asked. "No." Virgo mixed another chemical into the mixture.
"What about us?" Taurus asked. "I need you to draw some blood from these people. If this cure works then we will be able to produce mass amounts of it quickly." She said.
Honestly Virgo sounded like a mad scientist, but she will save us.
Leo casually walked out and rolled his eyes. "Alright, which one of you want to come with me?" He raised his voice, trying to attract them. A small group split from the hoard, aiming for him.
"I don't know if you heard me but I'm pretty sure I only said one of you." He raised his guns. He shot one straight in the head. "Hhhhhheadshot." He said in a low voice.
He forgot there were more. An infected raked his nails across Leo's back and it immediately burned. "Shit!" He mumbled, whirling around and shooting it in the face.
His back was wailing in pain. "Alrighty big boy your coming with me." He began dragging the thing and his back protested but he ignored it. The rest of the infected were inching toward him but he managed to make it inside and lock the door.
"You such a pain in the ass!" He wanted to kick the thing. He dragged it a flight up and by the time he made it to the room he was gasping for air. His back was turning numb now. The children screamed as he dropped the body on the floor.
"Delivery." He wheezed out. "Your back!" Pisces said urgently. "Oh my god!" She screamed. His back was turning the greenish blue color and it was also red as if he burned himself repeatedly.
"I can't feel my back." He couldn't stand anymore. "LEO!" Pisces yelled. "I'm okay." He gave a reassuring thumbs up. "Like hell." Taurus muttered.
"ARGH!" His back had the feeling back and he could feel the searing pain going up and down his body, spreading to other parts. Virgo drew 'blood' or whatever was in that thing and added it to the mixture.
The solution turned into a light purple color. "Perfect time to try it." Virgo grabbed and eye dropper and squeezed the liquid in. She kneeled next to Leo who was grinding his teeth in pain.
She let a few droplets spill and then waited. The skin was transforming back slowly to its original color and texture, but it was painfully slow. So slow that the virus kept spreading to counteract the cure.
"Needs to be stronger." She took a needle and quickly drew some blood from the old lady. She mixed it in and tried again. This time the skin was rejuvenating much faster. "It might be because you have lived way longer under those circumstances." Virgo noted it down, older meant stronger.
Leo sighed in relief the cooling effect of the cure relaxed him and he could move his back again but he still had a dull twinge of pain every now and then. "I DID IT!" Virgo jumped up and cheered.
"Ok now how do we give this to all the infected out there?" Taurus asked. "I can give you my smoke machine?" Gemini said. "You have a smoke machine?" Aqua put her hands on her hips. "I use it for parties and stuff." She explained. "Instead of putting water in it put the cure, it will spread much faster as a gas."
"That's a great idea!" Capricorn yelled,
kissing her on the cheek. "Where is it?" Virgo asked. "In....my....dorm room..." She lowered her voice. "Are you kidding me?" Taurus raised his hands. "That's at least on the other side of the bubble!" He continued.
"Who should go?" Virgo started making more batches of the cure. "Me, Aqua. Gemini, Capricorn, and Pisces." Taurus said. "I will stay with Leo if you don't mind." Pisces looked at Leo kindly.
"Aww you worried?" Leo pinches her cheek softly. "Of course I'm worried! You almost turned into an infected!" Pisces pounded her hands against his chest. Leo smiled at her.
"Ok let go!" Taurus lead them outside.
"Shit! I'm running out of bullets!" Aries yelled. "Me to!" Libra followed. The infected just keep flowing in, it seemed to never end. The had lost count at how many they killed a long time ago.
Sagittarius was beating the crap out of each infected he came across. He was getting exhausted, every time he dropped his hands it took a LOT of physical and mental energy to get them back up for another punch.
Hescus was running out of her arrows very quickly, she fired her last bomb arrow, leaving a hole in the hoard. Her electric arrows only seemed to slow them down and her poisoned arrows did no good since they were already poisoned with the virus.
She looked at Sagittarius who was putting every ounce of energy he had into each and every punch he seemed to fade after each hit, he was getting slower.
A large hand came down, aiming for his head but Hescus managed to kill the infected before it made contact with Sagittarius.
She suddenly realized that she might die and for the first time she was scared to die, she didn't want to die. In the small opening she had she ran up to Sagittarius turned his head quickly and tenderly put her lips to his. He was surprised but he followed the movements.
"Now's not really the time!" Aries called out. They both pulled away and smiled. That kiss just gave Sagittarius a boost in energy. He began punching like there was no tomorrow.
Taurus and his group managed to make it to the dorm rooms with little encounters with the infected. "Where is Gemini's room?" Taurus hissed. "I don't know I have never been here before Aquarius cried, it was sad but true.
"Guys it's right here." Gemini pointed. They forgot she was with them. "Grab the damn machine!" Taurus pointed. Gemini grabbed it and ran out the door. "Let's go bring back some people." Gemini smirked.
