MAUSAM
The party was beautiful and overwhelming.
The entrance was swarming with people and flash.
It would have been impossible to get through if not for the security pushing every reporter back.
Finding out I would have to go in front of the media for the first time sincey marriage had me sweating.
My face paled .
Suddenly the car got quite.
I noticed Arman was looking at me and Arav worriedly and patting Aruhi's back as she hugged him and his her face in his embrace.
Wish I could hide in his arms.
Wait what?
God what was I even thinking.
My face suddenly felt too hot.
The image of me being so close to Arman had me feeling weird in my stomach.
" It's going to be fine. Just don't say anything. Pretend hard to ignore someone you hate." He said this to Arav.
" Does Arav hates media?" I asked feeling worried from him if Arav felt like what I do in front of media then my baby must be in a lot of pain.
The anxiety of being in front of this many people is enough to make one puke.
Arman nodded.
" Then can't we go from.where there is no media?" I asked.
Arman blew out a breath, his features were conflicted," he is scared of them but he can't hide forever he has to get over this fear, so it's better he face them."
" But maybe it's not fear , maybe he cannot get over it.
I mean he is not some celebrity or leader that he has to be out in public ! Being photographed is not important for him." I argued back.
If I was really wanted to be a good mother,
I should actually try and do as I feel right.
Arman's expression looked like stormed sky, with barely hidden hostility he said,"
He is the heir of Kapoors , he has to get used to being photographed."
"No he does not." I snapped.
" Seriously why are you arguing about this with me? I have been taking care of our kids all their...." But suddenly realising that our both children were looking at him with wide eyes and we were in a car where the driver could hear us he stopped.
" It cannot be helped. It is the way it is."
Saying the door opened and he stepped out ,
His mask of indifference was on.
With practiced ease he handed down our daughter and then me and then Arav looking blank got down.
We all made our way inside , trying very hard to ignore the flashes of light and noise enough bleed the ears.
I hurriedly took hands of both my children,
Without looking at their face
And just kept on walking.
The media shouted all kinds of things at us,
"Are you mrs.kapoor?"
"Why are you here for the first time?"
" Is it true you have been ill?"
" Had you run away from home?"
" Did you get a astic surgery?"

ARMAAN
Arav looked pale , but Mausam was clutching his hand and patting him , which suddenly broke him out of his fear.
He harshly snatched his hand back,
" I am fine. I am going to my friends."
" Okay." Mausam said but he had already filed away.
I looked at my wife , she glowed , the saree looked ethereal on her , it changed color as she walked.
She was wearing her nuptial chain and sindoor , and even her engagement ring, which had me feeling lighthearted, something twisted in my gut seeing her like that.
I had never seen her wearing any of that except our wedding.
She was talking to Aruhi about something but i couldn't focus on any sound or anything just her , everything and everyone had ceased to exist except her.
She then straightened and with holding our daughter , took a step towards me,
Smiling warmly she said something and looked at me expectedly.
It took me a minute to get out of the trance.
"Hmm, yes ?" I asked dumbly , looking down at her .
She was standing too close to my composure.
" i said , waha pe sab tumhe bula rahe he" she signaled with her eyes.
"Oh , yes , let's go , " saying i took my daughter's other hand , so Aruhi was standing between us all rhe time, though i wanted to ..
No what i wanted did not matter.
Wanting Mausam was futile.
And i tried to ignore her while everyone i introduced her to only wanted to talk to and about her.
