Mausam
Arav had refused to feed anyone cake and cut it in front of strangers ,
So the cake was cut by him just for formality and it was enjoyed by people.
Not that most people ate ,
Everyone was on diet.
I should be on one too,
But I just wanted to eat my baby's cake.
It was chocolate with ganache.
Hmm , loved ganache cakes.
All the while I was focused on the cake cutting and just smiling so the people who glared at me and were not subtle in their gossip did not get to me.
My parents were here too,
Though neither I nor them had ever wanted to be in each other's vicinity,
I was married ,
They had done their job.
Now they had benefited from my marriage , why would they bother with me?
I was relieved they did not approch me , I ended up hurt every time we talk. Is not it better not to talk!
I was keeping my daughter in my lap,
As she was tired and beginning to fall asleep.
I was slowly caressing her hair,
It felt so peaceful with her,
We were in a corner ,
Just being with each other.
Then , I heard some shuffling and saw Aarav dragging a chair next to us.
I looked at him in surprise,
" What? I am only sitting here so dad can find us all together easily." He said haughtily and sat down,
He was tall for boys his age , be has inherited Armaan's looks ,
But maybe he was like me too.
I smiled at him ,
And he looked away,
And got busy in his phone.

" ARMAAN , now we have to say goodbye to guests , where is that girl?she did not leave did she? I tell you she is such an embarrassment."my mother said looking here and there,
I cut her off," she is here ,mom , she has not left."
At least I hope she hasn't.
After cut cutting,
I was pulled in business talk with men,
I didn't wanna leave her but had to.
Now let's find where she could be.
I have never been out with her ,
I do not know where she would go in a party.
Friends ?
Did she have any? I don't think so.
Her family?
She never visited them though?
Could it be Khanna?
Even though Khanna has never contacted her on his own, or encouraged her , her crush for him is very crazy.
I felt exhausted thinking about her obsession with him.
What use of such unrequited love?
Could she not see Khanna had no intention of falling in love with her?
He even had a fiance now,
What was sje gonna do?
She had looked very pale ,
Looking at her.
She could become violent ,
Though she had never hurt anyone as long as I have known her,
She does throw very bad tantrums,
Breaking things and shouting and crying.

If my children were not in picture ,
I would have divorced her.

I saw Khanna and his fiance talking ,
Some tension clearly evident there.
And looking about them,
No sign of Mausam.
I then searched every nook and corner,
Then suddenly my eyes locked onto a scene, I never thought I would see in my life,
In a quite corner ,
Behind the big table ,
Mausam was sitting with Aruhi in her lap , and they both were peering in Arav's phone , who was sitting beside them .
" Yes , yes jump higher , yes , get that rocket." Mausam was whispering excitedly,
" I am doing it."
