THE KHANNA INDUSTRIES NEW CEO : THE ELDEST HEIR , RISHI KHANNA

Every news channel , and every headline was this!

Yesterday the Khanna industry had a meeting ,

And Rishi had been chosen as CEO ,

Not Reyansh.

The news had been a bit surprising.

Only a bit.

If Reyansh had shares of Mausam then he could have won, but he did not , Mausam had sold her shares, did Mausam realised what she had cost him? Not that it was any of her business , if she wished she could donate her shares!

But a bastard like Reyansh  did not deserve to become CEO with Mausam's help!

My secretary knocked.

" Sir , There is an invitation for party from Rishi Khanna ."

I nodded and gestured for him to leave.

Then I immersed in my work ,

And wished lunch would come soon.

" Sir , ma'am has arrived." My secretary informed me of my wife's arrival.

I had arranged a driver for her ,

So she could go anywhere,

And the driver was a bodygaurd too.

But she only ever go to pick up kids at school,

Then they come here at my office with hot lunch , for all of us.

The arrangement suited me perfectly,

Eating all meals with my family was best.

It had been Mausam's idea ,

Sometimes she can be brilliant.

I smiled as I heard their banter ,

And soft jingles of Payal reached my office,

In a sweep , the door was pushed open by my wife , who clutched the door with both hands , and my kids ran inside, swinging her pallu out of the way.

She narrowed her eyes at them,

But both of them ignored her

And then her eyes met me,

Telling me with her eyes ,

Execperated CAN YOU BELIEVE THEM!

I smiled and shook my head , agreeing with her.

She was wearing light pink saree,

Her silver bangles and Payal made quite a meledeous sound, I could drown in it.

" Papa bola na , me sahi hai na" Ruhi , jerked me out of my thoughts as she jumped in my lap.

" Yes , baby , my princess is always right."

" Nooo. She is not. Ughhh." Aarav protested , banging his fists on sofa.

" Ab bus ha , papa Ke lunch ka time Ho Gaya he , ab sab chup chap khana khayenge." Mausam said strictly and started to unpack the lunch boxes.

As the smell of  butter chicken filled the air,

Aarav sat straighter , it was his favourite after all.

" Mom it is not fair , aapne.phir se bhaiya ka favourite khana banaya." Aruhi complained.

" What ? Juthi , papa kal iski pasand ka paneer hi bana tha." Arav was not the one.to sit silently.

" Mamma aaj raat Ko meri pasand ka khana Banega na?"

" Vo to  aunty Jo banayegi vo hoga na." She smiled at Ruhi.

" There is a party that we got an invitation to." I told Mausam.

She looked my way , putting Aruhi's plate down.

" Party? We all have to go?"

She asked.

" It's Khanna industry's  new ceo's party." I said slowly , seeing her reaction.

She froze for a moment.

Pain passed her eyes.

Her hand with the ladle quivered ,

And then she changed,

She smiled , a fake smile,

" Ohh of they invited you , then I must go right ?" She asked.

" Yes , father , mother, chacha , Chachi , sab log jayenge , it is an important party." I said.

She nodded.

Then asked how much rice I wanted, completely brushing the topic away.

I wished she talked to me,

About it.

I am sure she is troubled by this all.

" Papa , aaj Hume ek Ajeeb uncle mile the , vo keh rahe the vo mamma ke friend the ." AARAV said to his dad.

" He looked weird to me, why do you have such weird friends , be friends with nice people." AARAV turned and lectured Mausam.

Mausam looked absolutely terrified.

His and mausam's eyes met.

He had a suspicion who this weird friend was.
