He glared up in the air, focusing on the red-orange sun, which was pretty much directly ahead of us.

Since my body already felt heated up a few minutes long, I started taking off my thick jacket, throwing it somewhere behind us.

He did the same after a short time, which made me spot a dark symbol on his left forearm the very first time.

"You have a tattoo!?". Surprised, I pointed to the spot on my own arm and eyed him in shock. Like it's not that surprising, since he is a fully grown man, but I never noticed it until now.

He nodded and turned his arm, to show me the small two numbers.

"01?"

"It's just my birth year.", he explained. "Not that deep.".

"I may have thought it was about you being good at everything. Like number 1," I explained with a laugh.

"Ah, no.". He shook his head. "It's really just my birth year. But I count it as my lucky number as well.".

I remembered his jersey during the last football match. "You are number 1 as well. Like, on your jersey.". I said absentmindedly.

"You know that?". He asked me in amazement and looked down at me.

I hummed softly. "It's a strong number. Strong-willed, power, courage, personal responsibility. It represents the beginning. A new beginning.".

"How do you know that?".

"Oh, I once read a book about numerology and stuff like that. I just picked up a few things.".

"That's pretty cool. I like spiritual stuff.".

For the next few minutes, we ate our pizza in relative silence. The sun gradually started to disappear behind the ice-arena, coloring the sky a beautiful orange.

Many people gradually left the arena and drove away in their cars. From up here, one had a wonderful view over the whole area. To the right of you were the houses, while just in front of you was the glittering sea.

I looked over at Heeseung, who had his eyes on the sea and was watching the people walking along. I quickly seized the moment and pulled my cell phone out of my jacket pocket behind me.

I leaned back a little to find a good angle for a photo. "Don't move, okay.", I said to him and shot a photo with my phone camera.

"Let me see.". Curious, he stretched back a bit to see the screen. Satisfied, I sat back down and showed him the picture. "It's beautiful. You look great.". A satisfied grin settled on his face.

"It's okay." he replied, only semi convinced of my photographic skills. "This one is much better.". Out of nowhere, he swiped right a few times on my display, skipping over all the bra pictures I'd taken in the dressing room, which almost caused me a heart attack, until he arrived at my saved photo of him.

He laughed when he noticed my overwhelmed and surprised face. The "How's jacuzzi doing?" writing in the middle of the picture caught my eye.

"Yahh, stop teasing me. This is so embarrassing.", I whined and quickly turned off my screen.

"Embarrassing? You're the one who screenshotted a shirtless picture of me!" he complained indignantly.

"Then stop sending me pictures like that...".

"I...what? You're going to delete that, right?" he laughed.

"Later. When I get home. Maybe.". I grinned sneakily, which he didn't let slide. He immediately tried to grab my phone, which I held tightly against my body. "Give me your phone!", laughing, he blocked my way in almost all directions, which is why I was fidgeting on the spot, seeking help, and almost lost my balance.

"Oh shit.". Heeseung immediately let go of me when I almost toppled over and I sat upright again. "We'd better stop.".

I also straightened up again and once more looked cautiously into the depths ahead. Because of all the fooling around, I almost fell down there. As a precaution, I slid a little away from the edge and waited briefly until my pulse has calmed down again.

"That just reminded me of that one situation on the beach, remember?", Heeseung asked me.

"Back then, three of us were playing on the beach and I found this big black shell. It was still closed, and we all thought there was a treasure or something inside. You practically mowed me down to get the shell.".

"Yes, but I got it in the end," I answered proudly. "Because I was stronger than you.".

"And then Sunghoon told your mother and you had to give it back to me," he laughed as he finished the story.

"Because you two were stupid tattletales," I huffed indignantly.

I really liked to think of the carefree past. When we all were kids, life was so easy and you didn't have any problems. Now everything is different. It's scary how fast you grow up and have no idea what to do with your life.

I mean, 20 years of it are almost over! How old will I get until I die? 80, maybe. And a quarter of it is already over. I haven't achieved anything yet.

"Time goes by so fast," Heeseung sighed softly, looking back out to sea where we had left so many memories. Maybe that's why I felt so drawn there. It reminded me of my childhood.

I nodded and gently rested my head on his shoulder. "I wish we could just stop it for a moment.".

Heeseung looked over at me as he felt the weight on his shoulder and a slight smile spread over his face.

"Do you also remember when we had that barbecue party at your place, and we did a dad joke water challenge with some friends? We cut holes in garbage bags for our arms and heads so that we could put them on and not get wet."

"You looked like the sandman," I replied, laughing softly, my eyes closed, as a 9-year-old Heeseung with a garbage bag over his head appeared in my mind."

"And you choked on the water so badly that your mom took you to the hospital that same evening and examined you.".

"Hmm.", I hummed with a smile on my lips.

"Are you tired?" the older one asked me, looking down at me once again.

"A little.", I answered quietly and nodded, when in the next moment I felt his hand around my waist, pulling me closer to him.

I nuzzled my head a little deeper into the crook of his neck as he seemed to be okay with it, letting my elevated heartbeat relax a little.

In fact, it was more than I ever imagined. To ever get this far. But it was wrong. And I knew that deep inside. But for that one moment, I tried to block out the guilty feeling in my body.

"Hyeo?"

I noticed his voice after some time and hummed in response.

"Why me?", Heeseung asked.

"Why do you like me?".

Of course, the direct question caught me a bit off guard. But with my current absent-minded state, I just decided to go with the flow.

"Because you're Heeseung," I replied with a smile, but otherwise didn't move from the spot.

"And if I were someone else?".

"Then I don't think I would like you.".

He chuckled softly and then spared me with other questions. He let me continue to rest on his shoulder, so that I slowly but surely drifted into a deep sleep.

***

I felt a light poking at my head after a period of time that I could not say clearly. Maybe I had slept an hour, but it could also have been 3 hours or only 5 minutes.

In any case, I was a little strange when I opened my eyes and before me only the dark area waiting for me with weak street lighting in the parking lot of the ice arena.

"Hyeo?" I heard my name again, and only now realized that it was not my imagination.

"Your brother is calling.". Heeseung held the darkened display of his cell phone in front of my face as I stretched my arms.

Sunghoon?!

Immediately, I was wide awake.

"I will pick up, okay?" he asked me before swiping the green earpiece button to the side.

"Hoon? What's up?"

We both listened intently, and I tried not to make a sound.

"You know bro, I'm on my way home right now and Yoojung is sitting here next to me and mom is home.".

"So what?".

"Can we crash at your house? Your guest room, like always?".

I gulped because I knew exactly where this call was going. Why is my brother so damn embarrassing, gosh?

"Wait...you're calling me because you need a place to fuck your girlfriend?" asked Hee dryly. "What about your car?".

Shocked, I looked at the older one. What did he mean by car? I drove with this car sometimes too?!

Silence on the other line. "Look, it's just this one time, bro. We're just both very horny and...".

"...shut the fuck up.", Heeseung interrupted him. I guess he didn't want to hear that any more than I did. "'Do whatever the fuck you want. I don't care, but don't keep calling me about this. Get your own place.".

"Ah and Hee. Have you seen Hyeona by any chance?", my brother asked, and all the alarm bells went off in me. Heeseung looked over at me and met my frantically shaking head.

"No. Why?". I exhaled in relief.

"Ah it's just. Mom said she had a date with some guy, and she's not home yet.".

"Haven't seen her.". He repeated.

"Okay nevermind, thanks bro!".

Not a second later he ended the call.

I was still a little overwhelmed with what had just happened. "My brother takes girls to your house? Like...how often?".

Heeseung actually seemed to be thinking about this question. I think I'm going crazy.

"Maybe once or twice a week. It varies," he explained. "But normally he doesn't call, he just comes in. Just like I have a key to your house, he has one to mine.".

The longer he talks about it, the more uncomfortable I became with the situation. Like, why at all? I have the least to do with it. It's nothing new that Sunghoon has already fucked his way through half the city.

My final exams will take place in two weeks, so I have to focus on studying, because I can't fail them. But fortunately I prescribed a few chapters to not let you all down <3
