Anabia's POV
"So I'm making a group of four people work on a particular topic" Mr. Paul shot us a smile. There was usual murmuring as they all were keen to know about their groups.
I heard the squealing of Kate as she ended with Jessie, Natalie, and Chase. They were so lucky. I was praying that I get nice people too.
Last time I got the best partner.. and now he was my best friend, a friend whom I trust the most... the one who knows everything about me.
"Shuzaat Khan, Anabia Waqar...." Is this for real?
This is a coincidence right...?
I smiled at Shuzaat but soon my smile faded out when I heard the next names.
"Lily Sparkle "
Are they kidding me..?
Lily... how could I work with her?
I wish the last person wouldn't turn to Emily as I couldn't deal with two monsters at the same time...
Don't judge me... they were monsters... Lily hated me for God knows what reasons and Emily... I guess if they both would be in the same group... they ended up in a pretty nice fight...
I had no grudges for Emily...except I was a little bit jealous of her.
Jealous...did I just say that I was jealous of Emily..?

"Daniyal Murtaza" as Mr. Paul announced my heart skipped a beat.
His name sounds so good... he was Daniel to everyone but he couldn't change his surname though... only a few people know that he was a Muslim.
Wait...do I have to work with Daniyal.?
Really...?
This project couldn't go any worse...
First Lily and now Daniyal.
"You need to choose a suitable physics topic after discussing with your group members," Mr. Paul said fixing his glasses and the class dispersed.
We decided to work on "Magnetic Field and magnetic effect of Current". Physics was never my favorite but this topic was interesting and we had to work as a team so it will make it easy for us.
After lunch, we sat under a tree to discuss the project. We had to submit the project tomorrow...so we had only one day.
I, Daniyal, and Shuzaat were waiting for Lily. I saw Lily coming towards us swaying her hips. She was wearing a too-short skirt that her ass was barely covered and her long smooth legs were making her damn sexy. I wondered why he was after Daniyal when she could make any guy fall on his knees. Well, I heard that she slept with a lot of guys but she never dated them... she was waiting for one and only Daniyal.
What was so special about him..?
"Sup' buddies," she said twirling her locks and her green eyes were sparkling from excitement.
Why so excited duh..?
"I guess we should start our work now as we have only one day " Shuzaat cleared her throat as Lily was busy scrutinizing Daniyal's pretty face.
"Yess... I think we should start from the origin of magnets.. then after discussing their properties we would come right to our topic. What you guys say..?" Daniyal looked at us asking for our approvals.
"I'll go through its origin.. and Lily you can work on its properties and boys will start from the main topic," I said in my usual soft low tone.
"Cool" Shuzaat nodded.
"Girls always choose an easy topic for them" Daniyal smirked.
"I didn't say that we would work only on its basics.. we will come on the main topic eventually..." I said with a loud sigh gazing at my book.
"Lol whatever...let's start" Daniel muttered and we started our work.
After working continuously for three hours we gave up.
"But there is a lot to do " Lily whined.
It would be complete if she wasn't doing stupid things all time to get Daniyal's attention. And it was really funny that he didn't pay any attention to her.
"Let's take a small break," Shuzaat said handing us a chips packet.
"Well, Daniel... I heard that you and Emily broke up cuz she cheated on you with Dean" Lily said with a sly smile and I saw Daniel's frowning face.
Did they break up? Really? But.. when??
"None of your business Lily" Daniyal retorted.
"Uh.. okay " she sulked a little.
"And what about you guys...you both are dating or what " She bombarded her stupid next question to us eying me and Shuzaat and we almost choked.
This girl got no chill...
Why she is so much interested in others' life... it was none of her business.
"Uh...Lily... we are just best friends " I scoffed.
"Best friend.." she arched her eyebrows.
"We are Muslims Lily and we can't date... it's haram for us. And Anabia is only a friend for me.. and my parents have already chosen someone for me" Shuzaat said sternly.
I felt like a burden was lift from my heart. I saw Lily had a smug look on her face and Daniyal's gaze was fixed on us.
"Isn't your religion restricting your freedom.. how could you guys survive ?" Lily rolled her eyes and Wallah I just wanted to smack her pretty face... why she was so nosy and irritating...?
Anabia when did you become violent? You really wanted to smack her face .. lol...
"I think now we should focus on our work duh," Shuzaat said sighing... he was also bored from her stupid questions. Though Daniyal didn't utter anything. I put a glance at him.. he was busy with books. It was creepy to stare at him...but he was my husband... there was nothing haram in this... wow it felt so good to think that Daniyal Murtaza was my husband... okay sometimes it made me upset that he was not a true Muslim but maybe one day he will.
Hope is everything in Islam. Nothing is impossible for Allah... if He could melt the heart of Umar-Al-bin-Khattab who was the biggest enemy of prophet Mohammed (PBUH) and Islam... and later he became one of the greatest Sahabi.
Then why couldn't I hope for Daniyal?
Maybe one day he would change too.
"Allah guide him on a straight path " I made a little dua in my heart and looked again at him. He was already looking at me. Our eyes were locked for a few seconds... then I tore my gaze away.
"You want a ride " as we packed our stuff Shuzaat asked me. I glanced at Daniyal ...his face was expressionless.
"Umm..you don't need to trouble yourself," I said glancing at Lily who was trying to flirt with Daniyal but little did he played any attention to her.
"C'mon Ana.." Shuzaat tugged his hands in his pocket and shot me a false glare.
"I can drop her Shuzaat... we live in the same house... " it was the first time Daniyal spoke. I was startled a bit then I looked at Lily who was glaring at me.
"Fine...I gotta go guys" she faked a smile and waved to us...I waved back.
"Nevamind... you can go with him if you want," Daniyal said with a small smile and walked to his car.
Now I got why he offered me a ride. He just wanted to get rid of Lily... and stupid me.
This was the crappiest chapter I wrote... sorry for this. Please bear with me.
