Skyler’s eyes flickered slightly. “The one who caused everything at the Claude family dinner?”

Yale nodded. “He used a fake name when he snuck into Claude Mansion. Our people looked into his identity and tracked him all the way abroad. He thought that the dust had settled since several days had passed so he used his mobile phone and bank card. Our people immediately captured him and sent him back to the country. They just got off the plane! Look…” Skyler went quiet for a moment. “Have him brought to Aster Gardens!” Skyler hung up the call. He glanced at Jocelyn’s room then turned away.

Lynn arrived at the hospital not long after Skyler left. After Zayn left, Lexie and Davis came to the ward.

When she noticed that the ward was empty, she could not help frowning. “Where is Director Claude?”

Jocelyn said, “He has other things to attend to. How can he stay here the entire time?” Lexie wondered.

“What about Skyler? Where did he go?” Jocelyn’s expression changed slightly. “He came?” Lexie nodded. “Yes, I saw him arrive with Senior Davis when I was downstairs. He even asked me where you were!”

Jocelyn frowned. “But I didn’t see him!” she suddenly felt a little uneasy. Skyler had asked where she was, yet did not appear. Why did he leave so suddenly? Davis responded timely, “He might have had to leave temporarily because of something urgent!” Jocelyn nodded absently. “Perhaps so!” Lexie asked her, “Jocelyn, when are you leaving? I’ve grabbed all the medicines the doctor prescribed for you. Let me and Senior Davis bring you home!” Jocelyn pursed her lips. “Let’s wait a little more, Director Claude asked me to wait for a bit. We can leave after he comes back!”

Just then, Davis’s mobile phone rang.

“I’ll head out to answer the call!” he said.

The moment Davis went out, Jocelyn immediately said to Lexie, “Don’t tell me you told him how we got hurt!”

Lexie shook her head. “I didn’t say anything. I gave some vague answers when he asked. He noticed that I didn’t want to say anything and didn’t ask me again!”

Jocelyn looked at her bitterly. “I had you go off to spend more time with Davis, why did you come back? My mind was spinning the moment you two came in!” Lexie was somewhat embarrassed.

“He suggested to come see you and I couldn’t possibly say no!”

Jocelyn looked at her annoyed. “The consequence of you not refusing is me ending up the third wheel!

Forget it, you’re a fool who only knows how to make your moves in secret yet chicken out on saying anything when he’s right in front of you!” Lexie bowed her head, listless, and said nothing. Davis received a call from Skyler telling him that he had an urgent matter to attend to and requested that he informed Jocelyn so. Skyler was not stupid. He knew that he could not hide the fact that he came to visit Jocelyn at the hospital after he had met Lexie, so he informed Davis as such.

f Davis returned to the ward and explained to Jocelyn and Lexie. The three sat in the ward chatting about the time back when they were studying. At the same time, Lynn was sitting in the director’s office while looking at Zayn with red eyes. “I heard from the nurse that you were with Jocelyn just now?” When Lynn heard this news back then, she felt unreconciled. However, when she thought of her current reputation and how the Claude family would not allow her through their doors again, she was even sadder.

Zayn frowned. “Jocelyn is hurt so I went to see her. Was there something you were looking for me for?”

Lynn’s expression was bitter and upset. She bit her lip and held back the tears in her eyes. “Zayn, you don’t have to be so impatient. I’ll be marrying Chad soon so I won’t hold you up too long anymore!”

Zayn was silent Lynn reached up and rubbed her eyes sadly while continuing to look at him. “By now, I just want to understand if you’d been reluctant to marry me because of Jocelyn?”

Zayn looked at her with an ugly expression. “You think too much. What does this have to do with Jocelyn?”

“Then, why are you so nice to her?” Lynn could not hold herself back anymore and her voice was hysterical.

Zayn frowned even more fiercely. “Alright then, since you’re asking me for an explanation, I’ll give you one. I don’t want to marry you. I just don’t want to marry someone I don’t like. It has nothing to do with Jocelyn. The reason why I treat her well is simply because I had been attacked some time ago and she saved me, so I appreciate her. That’s all!” Lynn was insatiable. “Were you so protective of her at the party just because you appreciated her?”

Zayn looked at Lynn and a touch of impatience flashed across his eyes. “She is my friend and I invited her to my mother’s birthday banquet, shouldn’t I stand up for her? Also, Lynn, use your brain a little why don’t you? Yvonne was the first to see Jocelyn at the dinner party and had deliberately provoked her!
