Howard stiffened in shock.

Jocelyn immediately turned around. She was then faced with the close-up sight of Skyler’s handsome face.

She was so stunned that she forgot how to speak. Skyler’s melodic voice filled her ears.

Skyler raised his brow and cast a brief glance at her. “What’s wrong? Have you become dumbstruck?”

Jocelyn immediately returned to her senses. She lowered her voice and asked, “No…You…Why are you here?”

She lost the haughty and commanding demeanor that she had in front of Howard. She instantly transformed into a pure and innocent little rabbit.

Skyler was amused. “Why can’t I be here?”

Jocelyn puffed up her cheeks. Alright, she could not think of any way to refute his words.

Howard glanced at Skyler. He was completely stunned as his expression changed slightly. After some time, he finally squeezed out a few words. “President Moore, why are you here?”

Skyler raised his gaze and spoke in an icy tone, “I heard that you’re going to sue one of Prosperity Jewelry’s designers. Of course, I had to come here!”

Howard laughed drily as a stiff expression formed on his face. “How can that be…Jocelyn White…She…

She’s part of Oasis Jewelry…”

Before Howard could finish speaking, Skyler cut off his words ruthlessly. “From this moment onwards, she’s part of Prosperity Jewelry!”

Howard still wanted to refute his words. “But she…”

Skyler’s expression darkened in slight impatience. “I said that she’s part of Prosperity Jewelry and that’s that!”

There was an extremely unpleasant expression on Howard’s face. He glanced at Jocelyn, who was standing next to Skyler. There was a condescending gaze in her eyes.

Suddenly, he recalled how he, Lily, and Jocelyn had encountered Skyler when they were at dinner yesterday evening.

Just then, he finally understood everything. Jocelyn had schemed everything to bring him to his downfall.

She and Skyler Moore must have known each other a long time ago!

Skyler did not want to waste time here. He was simply here to fetch Jocelyn. He was afraid that Howard would make things difficult for Jocelyn after she finished acting in front of the reporters.

After all, not anyone could touch his people!

He glanced at Jocelyn and asked, “When do you intend to start work at Prosperity Jewelry?”

Jocelyn’s gaze flashed. “Tomorrow!”

Skyler hummed and asked, “Can we leave now?”

Jocelyn immediately nodded. She then followed Skyler at once.

As Howard watched them leave, he could not resist calling after Jocelyn. “Jocelyn White…”

Jocelyn paused in her steps. She stood with her back facing Howard. She then turned around slowly.

Skyler’s gaze flashed as he stood on the spot quietly. However, he did not intend to turn around.

Howard glared at Jocelyn with a gloomy expression on his face. “You planned out everything that happened today, right?”

Jocelyn pressed her tongue to the roof of her mouth. After that, she slowly smiled. “Yes, don’t you already know the answer? Why are you still asking me?”

Although Howard had guessed everything, he really did not expect Jocelyn White, who had always been obedient to him, to do something like that.

He was not sure about the emotions that he was experiencing right then. Rage, unwillingness, wrongfulness, and all sorts of emotions intertwined with each other.

His voice was as dry as a rusty iron door that had gotten jammed up. He roared at Jocelyn angrily, “Don’t you love me? Why did you do this?”

Jocelyn reacted as if she had just heard the greatest joke ever. She burst out into laughter and said, “Hah, love…Howard Jung! How dare you say such words? Why didn’t you think about the love you had for me whenever you used my design drafts to push Lily White to fame? Why didn’t you think about the love you had for me whenever you were by Lily White’s side? Why didn’t you think about the love you had for me when you went to the Civil Affairs Bureau with Lily White to get a marriage certificate?!”

Jocelyn’s eyes turned red-rimmed. The past two years of her youth have completely gone to waste.

If they had simply broken up, she would be able to get over their relationship after feeling sad about it for a while. However, not only did Howard and Lily break her heart, but they also disgusted her to the point that she felt like vomiting out all the food that she had eaten in the past two years!

“I…” Howard knew that he did not have anything to say. Besides, Skyler was here to provide support for Jocelyn. He would not dare to do anything to Jocelyn.

He had no choice but to soften his tone. “Jocelyn, it was all my fault. I’ll apologize to you, alright? Let’s resolve our family matter among ourselves. Let’s sort it out behind closed doors. Don’t let other people take this as a joke, alright?”

As soon as Howard finished speaking, Skyler scoffed out loud in sarcasm before Jocelyn could say anything in response. He spoke up in a meaningful tone, “Your family matter…Hah…”
