Zayn stared at Skyler. There was a hostile gaze in his eyes. Jocelyn felt rather exasperated. Zayn was obviously just worried about her. After speaking, she explained things to Skyler again. “Director Claude found out that I got into a car accident. He used his authority to help me receive a full body examination in advance!” Skyler looked at Zayn expressionlessly after hearing what she said. Moore. I’d recommend you to pay a visit to a psychologist!” Skyler retorted, “I’ve had such thoughts ever since I was young. I’ve never seen a psychologist, yet I’m still living well!”

Zayn laughed sarcastically. “I hope you can continue living well without any mental pressure or guilt!”

Skyler huffed coldly and completely disregarded Zayn’s words. “I didn’t do anything that goes against my conscience. Naturally, I won’t have any mental pressure or guilt!” Jocelyn immediately stopped Zayn from saying anything when she noticed that both of them had started bickering.

She said, “Director Claude, I’m going home first. Contact me on my phone if anything happens!”

Zayn pursed his lips. It looked like he wanted to say something, but he remained silent. Finally, he stopped arguing with Skyler. “Take care on the way back home. I won’t see you off!”

CA Jocelyn nodded and dragged Lexie after her. She then turned around and left. Skyler cast a heavy gaze at Zayn. Zayn fixed a sharp and piercing gaze on Skyler in return. Skyler huffed softly and turned around to catch up with Jocelyn. After arriving at the car park, Lexie drove her own car away. Jocelyn’s car had been sent to get repaired. She did not act coyly either. She simply got in Skyler’s car. Jocelyn thought about what Zayn said while they were leaving the hospital in the car. She could not help but ask, “President Moore, how did you know that I got into a car accident?”

The implications behind her words were extremely obvious. Skyler knew about the car accident although she had not told him anything about it. That could only mean that he had been paying attention to Lily’s car accident beforehand. He then discovered that she had been involved in the accident as well.

Skyler had a rather heavy expression on his face. “Yale told me about it!”

Jocelyn stared at Skyler’s side profile and asked him, “How did Mr. Ziegler find out about it?” Skyler sensed that Jocelyn had other intentions. There was a stiff expression on his handsome face as he asked, “Jocelyn, what are you trying to ask me?” After hearing what he said, Jocelyn’s courage instantly dissipated. She pursed her lips and said in a deflated tone, “It’s nothing!” Skyler was rather shocked. He was all prepared to tell Jocelyn about how he had schemed against Lily, Howard, and Lynn. However, he did not expect Jocelyn to retreat at the very last moment.

After catching sight of the bandage wrapped around her forehead, he thought about the immense regret that he had felt and how foolish he had looked in front of the operation theatre just now. He instantly felt rather awkward. He cleared his throat and asked, “Did you hurt your forehead? What did the doctor say?” Jocelyn glanced at him and said, “Yes, the injury isn’t really serious. It’s just a small wound. I got a slight concussion as well. It’s nothing much!” Skyler let out an affirmative hum and stopped speaking.

Jocelyn backed off and stopped asking questions.

However, Zayn’s words kept echoing around continuously in her mind.

After returning to Villa No. 1, Jocelyn went back to her room and took a shower. However, she did not feel sleepy at all.

She felt that she definitely would not be able to sleep if she did not get things clear tonight.
