There was an icy glint in Jocelyn’s gaze. She turned on her phone’s audio and screen recording function at the same time.

Jocelyn walked into Howard's office. Howard cut to the chase at once. “Jocelyn, I heard that you drew a new design draft. It seems to be even better than the one that you gave Lily yesterday!”

Jocelyn nodded and said, “Yes, I thought of an excellent design, so I just sketched my ideas out!”

“Give the design draft that you just drew to Lily then. Anyways, you won’t be using it!” Howard did not even bother to conceal his hideous words and attitude. He spoke to her in an almost imperative tone.

Jocelyn suppressed the rage and sorrow in her heart. Why could she not tell that Howard was such a scumbag in the past?

She did not give him her usual reply. Instead, she flat-out rejected him. “No, I want to keep this design draft for myself this time around! Besides, didn’t I give her one yesterday?”

There was an unpleasant expression on Howard’s face. “That draft wasn’t as good as the one you completed today. Did you think that I wouldn’t know? Besides, what use do you have for it? Is this design draft as important to you as it is to Lily? If the judges fancy her in the jewelry competition tomorrow, she will have the chance to participate in the World Jewelry Competition. What do you have? Have you released any work in these two years? Nobody knows about you.”

An ugly expression formed on Jocelyn’s face. “I don’t have many works of my own because you’ve given all the designs that I’ve completed in these past two years to Lily White! Howard Jung, how can you say that? Anyways, I won’t give her my design draft this time around!”

Since Howard could not argue with her, he tried a softer approach. “Jocelyn, I know that you’ve always been the most soft-hearted person out there. Lily is now the best ambassador of Oasis Jewelry. Even if you’re not considering things for her sake, you should be more considerate toward me. We’ll get married in the future. By then, Oasis Jewelry will belong to both of us!”

He softened his tone and added, “Besides, you’ve given her all your designs in the past two years. It’s useless for you to say all these now. Tomorrow, Lily will be participating in the Century Jewelry Competition, which is being held by Prosperity Jewelry. This is extremely important to her. Since we’re already at this step, why don’t you just help to push her a step further? When she stands on a global platform, Oasis Jewelry will still be the one gaining all the benefits!”

Jocelyn acted exceptionally stubborn today. “I won’t give her my design draft this time around! I’ll keep it for myself!”

Howard’s scowl grew uglier. Finally, he waved his hand impatiently with a dark expression on his face.

“Go away! Never mind if you aren’t going to give it to her!”

Jocelyn turned around and left with a scowl on her face.

After leaving the office, she saved the audio and screen recordings. Her lips curled into a derisive smile.

Before going off work, Jocelyn kept the original copy of the design draft that she had completed today in her bag. She then placed the backup copy where she usually kept her design drafts.

After that, she took out a miniature pinhole camera from her pocket and quietly placed it in a vase on the table.

Not long after she finished doing everything, Lily walked over. She asked softly, “Big Sis, did you argue with Howard?”

Jocelyn’s eyes flashed as she asked, “Why are you asking that?”

There was a look of exasperation on Lily’s face. “Both of you had an argument. He wants to treat you to a meal, so he asked me to pass on this message to you!”

Jocelyn’s heart was filled with sarcasm as she asked her with a calm expression on her face, “Really?”

Lily nodded and said, “Yes, he said that all three of us should have a meal together. From the tone of his voice, I knew that both of you must have had an argument!”

Finally, Jocelyn fulfilled the treacherous couple’s wishes and followed them to a renowned Western restaurant in Mauve City.

They sat at a table by the window. Lily and Howard sat opposite each other next to the window while Jocelyn sat beside Howard.

After they finished ordering their dishes, Howard and Lily chatted as usual. Meanwhile, Jocelyn sat quietly by the side as she listened to their conversation.

A short distance away, Skyler entered the restaurant together with his assistant.

Skyler’s assistant caught sight of the few people seated by the window-side at once. However, an odd expression suddenly appeared on his face after he seemed to have caught sight of something.

“President Moore, Miss White is over there!”

Skyler glanced over. His gaze was fixed on Howard and Lily’s legs, which were intertwined together under the dining table.

There was a mocking smile on his lips as he took large strides over to them.
