Everyone looked over at the door.
Before Jocelyn could see the personâs face, her attention got attracted by the flashy purple earring on the person.
Abel Crain was standing by the door of the room. She then recalled how he had kicked the door open arrogantly just now. She was not shocked at all.
Just then, a woman with a look of hatred on her face walked over from behind Abel. She pointed at Jocelyn and spoke out through gritted teeth. âBrother, thatâs the woman that gave me a hard time in the hall. She threw me onto the floor as well!â
Abel raised his brow and looked over. He caught sight of Jocelyn, who remained expressionless, at once.
When Jocelyn looked at the woman, she instantly understood why Abel had kicked the door open.
She felt that the person that she had beaten up just now was related to Abel! Jocelyn instantly felt a slight headache.
Abel was overjoyed when he saw Jocelyn. âItâs you, Lil Sis! I didnât know that you knew how to fight!â
Davis glanced at Jocelyn in confusion. He was not afraid of Abel. However, he did not like dealing with him on issues outside of work.
Jocelyn spoke up, âDirector Lang, donât worry. Iâll handle this!â
Jocelyn turned around and told Lexie, âIâll go out for a while. Tell Davis not to worry about me!â
After speaking, Jocelyn got up and looked at Abel. âMr. Crain, I know that youâre here to seek justice for this young man. However, our companyâs design department is having a gathering here tonight. This is between you and me. Thereâs no need for you to cause a commotion here. Letâs go out to talk this out!
Abel smiled and said, âNo problem!â
Giada, who was standing next to Abel, threw a tantrum after hearing what he said. âCousin, she embarrassed me in front of so many people. How can you treat her so respectfully?â
Abel cast an icy sideways glance at her after hearing what she said. Giada grew silent at once.
She knew that Abel wanted her to shut up.
Abel was her cousin. Although she acted haughtily because of Abelâs authority, she was actually extremely terrified of him, Jocelyn walked to the door of the room. She looked at Abel and said, âLetâs go, Mr. Crain!â
Abel smirked. This was the first time Jocelyn had walked away with him on her own accord!
Abel laughed and walked upstairs.
Jocelyn knew that thora new that there was a game room above Serene Court. There were various entertainment activities there.
She could not help but frown. âMr. Crain, where are we going?â Abel turned around to glance at Jocelyn.
âOf course, weâre going to where Iâll be having my gathering. Lil Sis, you embarrassed Giada so badly.
Donât you intend to do something to compensate for that?â
Jocelyn understood that Abel intended to make her apologize to Giada at their gathering venue.
There was an icy expression on her face as she said, âMr. Crain, what do you want me to do?â
Abel smirked and said in a tentative tone, âI want you to apologize to Giada.â
Jocelyn blurted out without hesitation, âThatâs impossible!â Abel laughed even more happily. âWhy is that impossible?â Jocelyn suppressed her rising temper and said, âShe was the one who scolded me and disrespected me first. She then hit me. She couldnât defeat me when I did a counterattack. Isnât this extremely normal?â âBesides, even if sheâs that shameless to look for me to cause trouble with me, Iâll gladly go along with it. I can do anything else. I just wonât apologize to her!â An unpleasant expression formed on Giadaâs face after she heard Jocelynâs words. âYou b*tch, youâre speaking as if everything you did was right after hitting me. If you donât want to die, speak nicely in front of my cousin!â As soon as she finished speaking, Abel cast an icy glance at her and spoke to her in an impatient tone. âShut up!â
Giada instantly went quiet. She lowered her head and looked at Jocelyn. There was an intense look of hatred in her gaze.
Jocelyn looked like she did not mind.
However, Abel took a greater liking to her personality. She was gentle and tough in different situations.
She was not afraid of facing anything nor was she flirtatious in any way! She was amazing! He smirked and asked, âDo you know how to play pool, Lil Sis?â Jocelyn frowned and told him the truth. âI do!â
Abel laughed and said, âLetâs do this. Since youâre willing to accept any challenge and refusing to make an apology, compete against me in a round of pool. Thereâs a game room upstairs. Letâs compete in a single round. If you lose, youâll have to do whatever I ask you to in the future If I lose, you wonât have to apologize to Giada, and weâll just forget about this incident Howâs that?â
Jocelyn took out her phone and asked expressionlessly, âAre there many people upstairs?â Abel nodded and said, âThere are many people. I brought all of them over. However, donât be afraid. I wonât bully you because of that! Iâm not that low of a person!â
There was an icy expression on Jocelynâs face as she turned on her phoneâs audio recording feature and said, âPlease repeat what you said just now!â
Abel laughed. âYouâre doing this as evidence for everyone upstairs, right? You donât need to make a recording. Iâll repeat everything that I said upstairs! Howâs that?â Jocelyn did not even look at him. She went upstairs first. The mirth in Abelâs gaze intensified. How interesting! After arriving upstairs, Jocelyn entered Abelâs territory. Abel did as he said and repeated everything that he had said downstairs in front of all the rich young men and women within the room.
Some of them had already started taking videos in excitement. After all, it was extremely rare to see a woman competing against Abel in a game of pool.
Abel handed a cue stick over to Jocelyn in a gentlemanly manner. âLil Sis, go on. Start the game!â
There was an icy expression on Jocelynâs face. âYou can go ahead!â
Abel raised his brow and smirked. âYou should go first. Ladies first. That way, nobody will say that I bullied you!â
Jocelyn glanced at him and asked, âAre you sure?â
There was a hint of a smile in Abelâs gaze. âIâm very sure!â Jocelyn stared at him deeply. Just then, Abel still did not understand the meaning of her gaze. Jocelyn started the game by racking the pool ball. The balls spread out. Two solid balls fell into a hole.
A look of amazement flashed across Abelâs gaze as he looked at her skilled actions.
He spoke up, âYou managed to get the solid balls in, but Iâll aim for the striped ones!â Jocelyn glanced at him without saying anything. She continued racking the balls.
Initially, Abel had a calm expression on his face. However, Jocelyn racked the balls into the holes every turn she took. Finally, all the solid balls on the table had fallen into the holes. Abel could no longer remain calm.
