"What's going on here ?" Melissa asked, followed by Akilah to sit down across from Lottie and Angela, who were visibly sulking at each other.

The blonde glared at Lottie with a disparaging pout before rolling her eyes.

Lottie with a sad face mumbled in a low voice. "Angela said she didn't love me anymore."

Akilah gasped dramatically. “Did you really ?-"

"No, I didn't." Angela cut her off sternly. "She's just being dramatic."

"That sounds true to me." The girl crossed her arms, staring at Angela like she was in the wrong.

"Drop it Melissa, otherwise Angela risks freezing you with her cold heart-"

"Charlotte Matthews I swear to god." The blonde gritted between her teeth, crushing the carton of milk in her hand.

Gen, who was carrying Mari's lunch tray as well as her own, sat down not understanding the tension being so high at the table.

"Did I miss something ?" She whispered to Melissa. "Yesterday Lottie bought her a new necklace and now they look-"

"What happened is that Angela didn't even care about me a little." Lottie corrected, pointing an accusing fork at Angela.

She broke the fork in two and met Lottie's severe gaze with an even darker one. "Next time it's your finger-"

"Okay maybe we should all take a deep breath." Akilah interjected, trying to calm down the two girls in front of her who seemed to be on the verge of exploding.

Lottie sighed and resumed a sulky face, shaking her head. The confusion being at its height, everyone looked at each other with their eyes wide open.

"So Angela..." Gen began, turning to the girl. "What's wrong ?"

"She's acting like a damn baby !" She exclaimed defensively, putting both hands in front of her. "I didn’t say anything serious !"

"And, what did you said ?" Mari asked with a raised eyebrow.

"I can't say it."

"Why ?"

"It kind of trigger her."

Gen and Melissa couldn't help it, they snored.

"Okay but maybe if you're saying it now-"

"Fine." Angela sighed, looking around. "I said Lottie isn’t my best friend."

Everyone at the table chuckled and Angela rolled her eyes. "See guys, that's what I'm saying like-"

The taller girl quickly got up and grabbed her bag before storming out of the cafeteria.

She came back a few moments later, then grabbed Angela's bag before muttering. "I’ll wait for you by your locker."

--------------

"Oh my fucking god !-"

Shauna immediately covered Jackie's eyes.

Taissa, who had the car door in her hand, slammed it shut quickly with a heavy slam as Van was still looking at it with wide eyes.

"They're arguing, huh?" Gen asked with a smirk, turning to Mari. "I told you so-"

"I can't unsee it." Taissa muttered with a blank stare, her face as much shock as Van's.

Jackie pushed Shauna's hands and started asking questions, wondering what had made the whole group so quiet. "What ? What's going on ? What's in there ?"

Meanwhile in Lottie's car.

"Why didn’t you lock the car ?" Angela groaned as she massaged her sore cheek.

"I was a little distracted." She muttered, her cheeks red with embarrassment, fixing her skirt as best she could.

"No shit." The blonde chuckled, wiping her lower lip with her thumb.

She then untied her hair and gave the rubber band back to her girlfriend. "Here, next time you hold my hair, maybe it'll stop you from choking me between your thighs-"

"Okay okay I get it." Lottie groaned, rolling her eyes, her face now completely flushed.

"See you after practice ?" She gave her a meaningful smile as she leaned over Lottie's lips to kiss her sloppily.

The black haired girl hummed and kissed back eagerly.

"And if you feel too tense after all of this effort..." She whispered against her lips. "I'll help you out if you want..."

Lottie nodded quickly making the blonde giggle.

She pulled away after she patted her on the shoulder falsely friendly. "Bye Lottie."

---------------

"What are you doing ?" Angela asked, pushing away Lottie's hand, which was dangerously approaching her face.

"I wanted to be sure that you were real." Lottie muttered, sniffling loudly.

The blonde put her hand on Lottie's forehead and noticed that she was unusually hot.

"Did you practiced on the rain again by any chance ?" She asked worriedly with a frown.

"Maybe." Lottie sneezed into her arm making her eyes glossy. "Do you love me ?"

"Yeah of course, I love you babygirl." Angela reassured her by kissing her nose which had now turned red. "I love you a little more every day."

Lottie nodded with a weak but still bright smile.

The blonde got up from her couch after turning off the TV and handed her hand to Lottie. "My father is not here this weekend, you should stay over tonight to rest and I will take care of you. How about that ?"

"Sure." She also stood up grabbing Angela's hand and followed her through the house.

But when the two girls were in front of the door, the taller girl suddenly dropped her hand and took a step back.

Angela opened the door and raised her eyebrows looking behind her. "What's up ?"

"You loved me less yesterday then."

"What ?"

"And two days ago you loved me even less."

"Why are you making everything complicated ?" Angela sighed, pinching her nose in exasperation.

"You're not going to get away with this." Lottie mumbled, twitching an accusing finger at the girl. "Why did you loved me less yesterday ? And the week before ?-"

"I loved you yesterday and I love you today, that's all that matters." The blonde replied, trying to grab Lottie's hand again.

"Then why did you said that ?!" She exclaimed, throwing away her girlfriend's hand.

"For no particular reason, I love you anyway. Where's the problem ?" She grumbled as she entered her room.

Lottie blinked. "You loved me even less last month so-"

"Jesus Christ." Angela rolled her eyes as she laid down in bed. "I'm going to sleep."

"Yeah that way you can love me even more tomorrow, did you love me at least today ?"

"There's gonna be a murder in this house if you don't double shut your mouth Lottie."

--------------

"Here, this is for you." Lottie smiled enthusiastically as she handed her girlfriend a gift package.

"Thank you Ms.Matthews !" Angela took the gift in her hands, kissing Lottie's cheek.

The blonde undid the blue ribbon that surrounded the big box and took out a huge teddy bear. It was bright brown and extremely soft to the touch. And Angela felt like she was melting at the sight of its little blue coat and red little hat.

"I know I've been a little clingy with you lately when I was sick, so consider that my apology gift." Lottie explained, fiddling with her fingers nervously chewing her lower lip. "Do you like it ?"

"It's so fucking adorable." She said, her eyes sparkling with admiration.

"Do you want to gave him a name ?" Lottie asked with a proud smile on her face.

"Lover."

"Lover ?"

"Yeah like he's my lover. That's it." Angela kissed the teddy bear's nose gently before walking away. "That's his name."

Lottie's smile turned into a frown. "You can't call him that. I disapprove."

"And I don't care." Angela chuckled, not taking her eyes off her precious teddy bear.

---------------

Lottie didn't think she would ever regret giving a gift. She loved doing that. Bring joy by buying and giving things.

But the love that Angela had for this damn teddy bear started to seriously piss her off.

At first it was nothing special, she just liked him with her when they watched a movie together. Then she started forbidding anyone to touch him, even Lottie. And lots of other little things that didn't seem trivial.

But Angela crossed the line.

Now she preferred to sleep with 'lover' and cuddle him all night mumbling words of affirmation in her sleep to him.

"He's a bear. A fucking bear." Lottie grumbled to herself, her arms crossed and her jaw clenched.

Angela lifted her head from her big teddy bear's chest. "What ?"

"Nothing." Lottie hissed as she turned in the bed so her back was to Angela.

"What is wrong, babygirl ?" The blonde asked, running her finger up and down Lottie's spine in an affectionate caress. "You seems a little...tense."

"I'm not." She replied dryly, furrowing her eyebrows.

"Yes you are." Angela frowned trying to figure out what was making Lottie so pissed off.

"Why don't you go talk to your lover ? I bet he must be very lonely." Lottie managed to respond in a sarcastic tone.

"So that was it." Angela smirked, realizing the reason for her girlfriend's discontent. "You're jealous of my lover."

Lottie suddenly sat up on her elbows turning her head to face Angela. "I'm not jealous."

"-you bought me this teddy bear-"

"-i'm not jealous-"

"-you said you like him too-"

"-i'm not jealous-"

"Lottie you seriously need to listen to me." Angela said sternly as she placed herself on top of her.

Lottie kept her jaw clenched and her gaze was still as dark as before, despite her thoughts starting to slide to something else.

Angela maintained eye contact and kept a stern expression causing the tension in the room to escalate as she lifted Lottie's chin with a single finger.

"I love you, and I don't want nobody else but you." She stated, leaning slightly to emphasize her words. "I know that I can sometimes be too much and that it doesn't show-"

"Yeah." Lottie aggreed immediately, placing her hands on Angela's thighs. "Especially when you cuddle that stupid teddy bear-"

"Lottie." Angela stopped her by taking her jaw in her hand. "I'm serious."

"I am too." She replied just as seriously. "I missed you, I feel like you don't want to be close to me anymore. It's all because of that fucking bear-"

"And you're saying you're not jealous." Angela giggled as she let go of Lottie and began to slide out of her.

But she didn't have time to do anything that Lottie took her by the hips and rested her on her lap again.

The blonde turned on the lamp on her nightstand and turned faced Lottie again. "What ? What do you want now-"

Lottie crushed her lips to hers to silence her, her fingers digging into Angela's bare skin of her inner thighs.

The blonde smiled into the kiss as she wrapped her arms around her neck. "You could have hit me and it would have felt like a kiss still-"

"Shut up." Lottie groaned as she sat up even more, putting a hand on Angela's waist to pull her closer.

"Yes ma'am." She responded by running her tongue over Lottie's lower lip while pulling her hair with one hand.

Lottie's hand left Angela's inner thigh for a moment while she threw the teddy bear off the bed.

Then she wrapped Angela's legs around her hips before laying her back against the mattress without breaking the kiss.

They started to become breathless and their exhalations became louder and faster, filling the silent room with the small sound of panting

"Your...top." Lottie breathed out, pulling up the blonde's oversized pajama t-shirt.

Angela quickly pulled her top over her head, causing a few strands of her hair to flutter. Then she pulled Lottie against her again by grabbing her by the jaw with her both hands.

Her grip around Lottie's hips tightened as the black-haired girl was softly whimpering Angela's name.

She quickly undid the buttons of Lottie's pajama shirt and threw it to the other end of the room. Her hands automatically moved to the now bare skin of her back and she palmed her back muscles with a warm sigh.

"I missed this."

---------------

Lottie fluttered her eyelashes and began to slowly adjust to the light as she heard a noise from the other side of the bed.

Angela, visibly already awake, slipped out of bed and let her gaze wander across the floor looking for something to wear.

There, Lottie's pajama shirt lay not far from where 'Lover' had been thrown. The blonde reached down and grabbed the shirt before putting it on. Unsurprisingly it was too big but it was just for breakfast anyway.

She nudged the teddy bear with her foot in a nonchalant manner before opening the door to go out and closing it behind her.

Lottie smiled a little and stood up too after a moment before picking up a random outfit and putting it on.

She delivered a monumental kick to the teddy bear before finally leaving the room.

She ran down the stairs and joined Angela on the counter who was already eating a fruit salad while scrolling on her phone.

The blonde looked up and smiled brightly. "Morning, babygirl. Did you sleep well ?"

Lottie hummed positively. "Yes."

"Cool." She gestured her bowl with her thumb. "Do you want some ?"

"Of course."
