"Babygirl, music helps me concentrate." She rolled her eyes at the side eye her girlfriend sent her. "You wouldn't understand anyway."

The two girls were together for their study date, but as soon as Angela took out her headphones, Lottie started to complain.

"But you're so not concentrate when you have music playing in you ears, you barely-"

"-there always that one person that will always have your heart-"

Lottie turned and sighed when she saw that the blonde was dancing in her chair, waving her pen, no longer paying attention to her notebook or anything else for that matter.

"Angela." Lottie mumbled, pulling an earbud out of her ear.

The blonde stopped as the music continued to play in the background. "What ?"

"You're not focused." Said Lottie, taking her headphones completely.

"I am !" The blonde exclaimed while trying to get her headphones back without success.

Lottie raised her hand high enough so Angela couldn't reach them, knowing full well that this gesture would annoy her.

"Babygirl." She growled as she tried to grab her elbow to reach her hand. "It's not funny."

Seeing that Lottie was just giving her a proud smirk, she rolled her eyes and slid out of her chair, to sit on her lap facing her.

Lottie stared as she put her arms around her shoulders, her cheeks turning slightly pink.

Her hand lowered quickly, while the other automatically placed itself on her waist making Angela smile.

"Can you please give me back my headphones ?" She asked in a low voice, placing a light kiss on Lottie's lips, close enough for her to feel the softness of her lips, not close enough for her to be satisfied.

"Ye- I m-mean no-" Lottie began to stutter as her cheeks turned a darker shade of red, while Angela was playing with a strand of her bangs and biting her lower lip, careful to keep the eye contact.

"Please ?" She added, straddling her slightly to be closer.

Lottie turned crimson and passed her hand between her and Angela before opening it to reveal the earphones.

Angela looked down and her face lit up, she quickly grabbed them and pulled away from Lottie, giving her a friendly pat on the shoulder. "Thanks !"

It was finally when Angela started singing and waving her pen again that Lottie realized how she had just been fooled.

"Damn, how does she manage to get me every time ?" She mumbled to herself with an incredulous expression on her face as she ran a hand through her bangs.

"It's pretty simple, actually." Angela chuckled as she wrote something in her notebook. "You're easy to tease, and I like teasing you. It's a win-win."

"How did you-"

"I'm between two songs oh wait-" She suddenly stopped.

"This is my song !" She exclaimed before starting to sing. "It's been a long time we shouldn't left you, without a dope beat to step to-"

"Why every time you say it's your song. It's a different song ?" Lottie asked intrigued, not recognizing the song Angela had said was 'her song' two days ago.

"I'm sick of having to put on a splint." Angela mumbled as she opened her locker. "It ruins my whole outfit."

"No I don't think it is." Misty shook her head as she handed Angela her books. "You look really mind blowing today just like everyday."

"Thank you Misty."  She whispered with a sheepish smile, still with a slightly disappointed pout as she looked in her mirror. "Do you think Lottie will notice my outfit ?"

"I'm 100% she will." She reassured her in a perky voice. "And if she doesn't, everyone else will so-"

"It's not the same if Lottie doesn't notice." Angela sighed again, fixing her hair nervously. "I want Lottie to look at me. And this splint is ruining everything-"

At the same time from the other end of the hall, Lottie and Laura Lee were walking down the hall towards Angela's locker. And as soon as the black-haired girl saw the blonde, her knees went weak.

"Lottie watch out !"

And in addition, Waldo, Mia's boyfriend, threw his ball at his friend but missed completely, throwing it towards Lottie, who wasn't not paying attention.

Lottie fell to the ground on impact and Laura Lee gasped before helping her up.

She was shaken by the shock and felt her eye become sore, hearing in the distance her girlfriend severely scolding the boy.

"Are you okay Lottie ?" Mia asked with a sorry look, taking her shoulder in her hand.

Lottie tried to open her eyes by blinking several times before nodding. "Yeah I'll be-"

She didn't have time to finish her sentence when another ball hit her violently in the face.

Angela looked away from Waldo for a second and saw that another person had thrown the ball in question. She frowned and turned back to Waldo. "Give me that ball. Immediately."

---------------

"Angela, are you sure you don’t want to leave ?" Waldo asked, putting a strap of his bag over his shoulder.

He had felt so guilty about initiating play with his ball in the hallways and hurting Lottie, that he had been the one to insist on coming with Angela and Laura Lee to accompany Lottie to the infirmary.

The blonde shook her head. "I’m staying with her."

Lottie was slightly fainted after taking two consecutive shocks. Having worried Angela, who had felt an unusual pain in her chest just by seeing Lottie hurt. And after puncturing the balloon with her scissors and spraying Waldo's friend with pepper spray. She hadn't felt the pain go away.

And seeing Lottie lying in the infirmary bed asleep only made the pain worse.

"Are you going to skip the next class ? We have math." Waldo reminded her, worried to see her so sad.

"Fuck school." She mumbled as she took out her phone. "I don't care."

The boy, who only had a few hairs growing back on his head, decided to leave her alone and finally left the room.

After about twenty minutes, Lottie began to flutter her eyelashes, slowly returning, a heavy pain in her head seizing her.

Angela looked up from her phone and almost smiled, but quickly her mouth twisted. "You're finally awake. Can't you watch where you're going ?"

"I-I was-" Lottie was almost illuminated by Angela's beauty, she was even more beautiful than from afar, and she didn't know if it was Angela or shocks that made her dizzy.

"He said 'Lottie watch out' but you didn't move. Not even a little." She rolled her eyes, crossing her arms and leaning back in her seat with pink cheeks. "I was really worried...By the way."

Lottie blinked several times in confusion, her right eye seemingly unresponsive.

"You have a nasty black eye thanks to your inattention." Angela added, pretending to be uninterested.

"W-What happened ?"

"What happened ? What happened ?" The blonde repeated, pinching her nose. "I just explained it to you."

"No I-I mean to you." Lottie muttered, pointing at her. "You look really beautiful today."

"Oh so I was ugly yesterday ? Thank you Lottie I love to be appreciated-"

"I didn't mean it like that !" She hastened to say, straightening up, immediately making Angela stand up, who especially don't wanted her to get hurt again. "It's the  new clothes, and I haven't seen them before but it's pretty really pretty-"

"Okay okay Lottie can you lay down please ?" Angela asked, taking her by the shoulders to make her lie down. "You shouldn't get up so quickly, you'll hurt yourself-"

"I was looking at you."

The blonde frowned and her grip on Lottie's shoulders loosened. "What ?"

"In the hallways, I was looking at you." Lottie confessed, placing her hand on Angela's. "You were the only thing I could see or hear. You are all the time anyway, but today it was more intense because you were really too pretty and it was overwhelming."

The blonde smiled brightly with her cheeks now red. "Are you telling me that just so I stop complaining or do you really mean it ?"

"I mean it." She nodded. "Like the engagement ring I’m going to buy for you when I get out of school."

"You said you already bought one."

"The diamond isn't big enough. Kim Kardashian herself will be jealous-"

She was cut off by Angela's lips crashing against hers. She responded to the kiss placing her hand on the blonde's forearm, who was clutching her collar in her hands.

When suddenly the blonde pulled away with worry on her face, running a hand through Lottie's hair. "I didn’t hurt you, did I ? I'm sorry babygirl if did-"

"No I'm more than fine." Lottie cut her off, sitting up a little more to kiss Angela again. "As long as I am with you."

The blonde chuckled lightly against her lips. "You know how to talk to women, Lottie Matthews."

---------------

"So, what do we do ?" Paul asked his older brother.

Marc had listened to Paul complain and ramble for two hours. And he only had one answer to give him.

"Is she nice to Angela ?"

Paul was taken aback by the question. "Why do you ask me this ?"

"This girl you talked me about..." He took a sip from his coffee slowly sending a small glance to his brother. "She's doing the bare minimum, she's a good person towards Angela, isn't she ?"

"Yeah, sometimes she send her flowers, and others things like this kind of stuff, you know ?" He replied doubtfully. "But Marc that’s not the point-"

"Maybe it is." He shrugged his shoulders, turning the spoon in his cup with a philosophical voice. "I'll talk to Angela about it if that reassures you."

"Thanks Marc."

Meanwhile, Angela walked through the door. She was surprised to find Lukas sitting on the floor, staring at the door with his big blue eyes.

"My baby !" She exclaimed as she knelt down to run a hand through his curly hair.

The baby babbled and she giggled happily before taking him in her arms. "Lottie is going to be super jealous when I'll send her our pictures together."

Angela walked into the kitchen and found her father and uncle on the counter. "Hi Uncle Mark."

"Angela." He greeted her with a smile.

The blonde walked over to the freezer and took out some ice cream before handing it to her cousin. His face lit up and he gladly took it in his two little hands.

"Tank'u." He said with a small smile showing his dimples.

"Oh that is new." She whispered with a cheesy smile, kissing his temple before turning to her uncle. "Since when does he speak so well ?"

"I don't know it just came like that." He shrugged his shoulders before clearing his throat. "By the way, Angela, me and your dad talked..."

"Oh yeah ?"

"Yes." He nodded seriously. "And we would like, if it’s okay with you, to have your girlfriend over for dinner sometimes."

Angela scoffed, turning her gaze to her father. "Why is everyone making a big deal out of it when it's me ? Cousin Elias has a different girlfriend at every family gathering."

"It's cousin Elias."

"And he's a boy-"

"If I agree, will you guys leave me alone ?" She asked, rolling her eyes.

"Yes."

"I can't promise that."
