58 New Girl
It was the next day, and it was of course Saturday, but I was feeling way worse than I was wanting to feel. I was taking my shower, and I just felt angry. I ate breakfast, and I just felt angry. I prepared to go to the YMPA, and I still felt angry.
Iâm not sure why though. It made me even angrier that there was no reason why I was mad, I was just mad. Once I got sent to YMPA, I saw Mr. Drails standing there, waiting for me to come.
âHello, Connor,â he welcomed with a smile.
âHello, Mr. Drails,â I said with a nod. His smile was very âout thereâ and it was starting to get creepy.
As I prepared to enter the building, Mr. Drails quickly stopped me with his hands. âNo need to rush now, just make sure you breathe in all the cheering alright. Be normal okay?â
âWhy is this a pep talk?â
âTrust me, youâll see.â
He then moved out of my way, and pushed open the door as a gathering of students began to cheer for me. In fact, I think there were cheerleaders there.
Everyone was clapping for me, with smiles and nods. Even September, who didnât join, was smiling at me too. I gave a quick one back, as she came to me and gave an embracing hug.
.....
âGreat job,â she said, and I couldnât help but keep smiling. You know how thereâs those people that just put a smile on your face when you see them? Thatâs how it felt.
She then let go, as I continued to walk down the aisle with cheering and shouting rambling into my ears.
I loved it, I adored it.
I soon walked to the end of the aisle, as everyone began to disperse and the halls of the YMPA began to fill again.
Then, a portal showed up at the end, as Mr. Drails entered through the portal. âSo, did you enjoy it?â he asked.
âPerhaps,â I said with a shrug. âIâm positive you did.â He chuckled, âMe? I was the one who planned it obviously. Thatâs what we do to every student who has won in the WAC contest.â
âThat clearly shows,â I said with a chuckle. But then I remembered what my Mom said, and my smile immediately faded away.
âHey, uh, Mr. Drails?â I said, getting his attention. âUm, thereâs something that I need to tell you about.â Mr. Drails nodded.
âWell, my mom wants me to leave the chess club,â I said. Mr. Drails chuckled but said in a whisper, âListen, just because Iâm your biological father doesnât mean you have to talk to me about these things.â
âNot an actual chess club. Your lie, your distraction for me being here,â I said. His face folded into a frown. He sighed, âHave you tried to-â
âYes, I sort of tried, but sheâs my mother, I canât disobey her,â I said.
His frown changed from a concerned to a more unamused expression. âWell, how much time do you have left?â he asked.
âWell, probably a few days at best,â I said. Then it hit me, I was gonna die. No one could know about this whole thing. Theyâd have to kill me!
I felt myself tense up as I answered, âIâm not sure, but Iâm not sure what I can do at this point?â
He sighed. âLetâs solve this thing first and then we can try to somehow figure out what to do next.â

Soon enough, he called all of us. Malachi, Nikki, September, and Tisiah all came into his office. The only thing that was bothering me was probably the death stares he was giving me. âHello, everyone,â Mr. Drails said, as he sat at his desk. âNow today, weâll be discussing a few things.â
âOkay,â Nikki nodded.
Mr. Drails cleared this throat. âNow, we found some pictures of him, and based on what we saw, Marcello goes to all three cafes.â Septemberâs eyes widened, as did Tisiahâs. âThis is most likely where we will find him though,â Mr. Drails said. âThe first cafe that was mentioned was the one he went to last, and he stayed there until about 5 pm in Russiaâs time zone, or in military time, seventeen oâ clock.â
âOkay, so when are we gonna start the mission?â Tisiah asked. âTomorrow,â Mr. Drails said, looking at September who nodded again.
âOkay,â Tisiah said, as he looked towards me and smiled. âIâm ready for that.â
âGood, now I also want you to meet Nichelle,â Mr. Drails said, as he looked towards Nikki who nodded in agreement. âYouâre going to go after Malachi. Then everyone else follows after.â
âAlright,â Nikki said with excitement, as September looked at me with concern. She then sighed, and turned towards Mr. Drails. âNichelle Harrison, please come into the office,â he ordered. After a few minutes, she showed up and I was not wrong about my theory.
Her body form was quite exquisite, and I was always staring at her for this reason alone. Her body form was of course a super model type figure with curves in every right place.
Malachi leaned forward from his leaning position, and looked at her in awe, while she stood in front of him as if he wasnât even there. âIntroduce yourself,â Mr. Drails ordered Nikki, who seemed to be embarrassed at the moment.
âUh, yes sir,â she said as she straightened herself up. âHi, Iâm Nikki. Itâs very nice to see you.â
She didnât seem very gladdened by her attempt, but it worked well enough for the moment. Mr. Drails shook his head in amusement and looked at September with a chuckling grin on his face.
âWhy do I find this so funny?â he muttered to himself, and he looked back towards Nikki.
âAlright, so what do you want me to do?â Nichelle said, turning over to Mr. Drails. He sighed and shook his head. âYou will be working with Tisiah, over here,â he said, pointing at Tisiah on his other side.
âHim?â Nichelle asked. âNot even Malachi or that other boy?â
I felt honored when she mentioned me, the fact I was even worthy to be mentioned with the other two boys was something I never thought would ever happen. Although she never mentioned my name, her face told me all that she needed to tell me. Unless I was just assuming things, which would be very possible for me to do so at this point.
âYes, with Tisiah,â Mr. Drails said with a sigh, before he continued on to say, âNow remember the plan is for you two to stay back and find Marcello. When you do, capture him, and then Iâll help you guys return back here.â
âYes, sir,â she said, nodding her head slowly in agreement.
âOkay, it was nice meeting with you. Just get ready for tomorrow,â he said, looking at September again with a smirk on his face as if he had won something from September, who literally didnât do anything. Maybe it was meant for all of us, because Mr. Drails looked at all of us with a smile on his face as if he had done something great for all of us.
We walked outside of the office as I began to walk down the stairs. But as I walked down the stairs, I felt someone touch me aggressively. I turned around, seeing Malachi, as he gave a blow towards my face.
Preview:
I blocked it with my hand as blood began to trickle down my lip.
What in the world? Why?!
âYou dirty fiend,â he said, as he clenched his hand into a fist and hit me again on my nose. I cried in pain, as blood began to flow out of my nose. âYou stole my victory,â he said, as he looked at me in anger with tears forming in his eyes. âYou stole my light, all that I worked for! Youâre evil!â He hit me again and again as blood began to pour out of my nose, my lips were also bleeding, as I tried to stop him from hitting me any longer, but he seemed not to care about that at all as he kept punching me.
âW-w-w-what have I done to you?â I asked, trying to get some air into my lungs. I tried to get up, but he continued to keep punching me relentlessly.
âWhat have you done?â Malachi asked, as he gave a sinister chuckle. âYou won, thatâs what you did.â
I finally got up to my feet, as he gave a blow to my face so hard that my knees went out from under me as I fell back on the ground. âDonât get up on me,â he hissed. âYou may have beaten me in that contest, but youâd wish you hadnât.â

I used some of the stairs to get up onto my feet, as I could feel blood pouring out of my face from my nose. I wiped it off, leaving some stains on my sleeve. âEvery single time, I won, I was the best agent in the YMPA!â he shouted. âI worked hard to get the respect, but now that you came. Now Iâve lost many steps in my fame.â
âWhy is this so personal?â I asked, but he didnât answer. He just kept huffing, as he gave a punch to my face again, as my face began to go numb and then I felt the blood gush from my nose.
