"Mom try to request another trial for me." I said.
"I was about to do that son but your dad doesn't want to do it." Mom said.
"Then do it without telling him." I said.
"You know i can't do that." Mom said.
Kakatapos ng trial ko kahapon, i'm sentence for a few years. Mom was the only one who visits me, she said dad doesn't want to come. I'm more angry that bryan arceta is the attorney of mikha lim.
"I wanna get out of here mom." I said.
"Son just stay here and be good so we can lessen your sentenced." Mom said.
"It's her fault mom, that mikha lim. Even my career is ruined." I said.
"Please calm down son." Mom said.
Mom left while i went back to my cell. I gotta find a way to get out of here.
"Maraiah queen arceta." I said.
"I know that name." Damien said.
Damien lee, the drug lord is my cell mate. Who is being sentenced for life imprisonment.
"She's my ex-girlfriend." I said.
"What a coincidence then she's the reason i'm here." Damien said.
Suddenly i got an idea, i can use him to get out of here.
Aiah's Pov
"Wake up babi." Mikha said.
"I'm still sleepy." I said.
Currently i'm in mikha's house. Last night we had dinner here because of maloi's birthday. It's been a month since my parent's party.
"You have to go to work today." Mikha said.
"Do i have too?" I asked.
"Yes po, kuya bryan told me you have a few minor case on your desk." Mikha said.
"Why would my kuya tell you?" I said while pouting.
"I asked him if you have many cases to handle this week because i want to ask you on a date after you finish all of it." Mikha said.
"So my girlfriend wants to take me on date after i finish all my work this week." I said.
She nods at me, she's so cute asking me out when i just woke up.
"Okay po babi." I said.
Nag-stretch muna ako then niyakap si mikha. Bigla tumunog tyan ko.
"And now your hungry babi. Let's eat breakfast po." Mikha said.
"I'm gonna eat a lot especially i know si tita nagluto." I said.
"Is mom's cooking better than mine?" Mikha asked.
"I'll just take a bath babi." I said.
I gave her a quick kiss on the lips then stood up to go take a bath. That's another way of teasing her, i'm sure she will be sulking.
After taking a bath, i saw her standing by the wardrobe. When she turned around, i hugged her.
"Your cooking will always be the best for me babi." I said while smiling.
"Nang-aasar ka lang." Mikha said while pouting.
"A bit but teasing you is also my way of showing my love." I said.
I kiss her lips, she kiss me back. My girlfriend is getting used to my kiss.
"I'll wait for you downstairs." Mikha said.
She kissed my forehead then went out of the door. I smiled at how cute my girlfriend is being shy in this kind of situation. Naligo muna ako bago bumaba, i see mikha prepare two plates with foods in it. It's danggit silog, isa sa paborito ko. Pagkatapos namin kumain ay hinatid muna ako ni mikha bago siya pumunta ng restaurant.
"Have fun at work today." Mikha said.
"You too babi, drive safely." I said.
I watched her drove off before i went inside the building. Nakita ko sa hallway si kuya bryan.
"Goodmorning kuya." I said.
"Goodmorning too sis, halata mahimbing tulog mo." Bryan said.
"I'll get inside my office because i'll be busy for the whole day to analyze and do field investigation on the cases at my desk." I said.
"Nag-mamadali? Ang aga pa." Bryan asked.
"Well, i wanna finish all of it so i can have a date with mikha." I said.
"No wonder i sensed a strong vibe from you." Bryan said.
"I'm in a good mood kuya, hindi gagana pang-aasar mo." I said.
I went inside my office. I checked on my phone first, nag-text si mikha na nasa restaurant na siya. Time to work maraiah, let's do this.
The whole morning nasa office lang ako then in the afternoon i went outside to do field investigation. Currently, nasa isang convenience store ako where one of the cases i'm handling happened. Two girl customers are talking to each other while i'm interviewing the manager.
"Nakapunta kana sa JM dining restaurant? They said the food there are so delicious." Girl 1 said.
"I went there last week with my family. Hindi lang pagkain ang masarap, pati mga staffs ang sarap sa mata." Girl 2 said.
"Oh i think you're referring to stacey sevilleja." Girl 1 said.
"Hindi lang siya, ang tinutukoy ko ay ang owner at head chef mikhaela lim. Believe me she's super hot." Girl 2 said.
"If she doesn't have a girlfriend then i'll be her girl." Girl 1 said.
The two girls left after paying the at the cashier. They are talking about my girlfriend. Super hot? I'm the only person who should say that especially mikha has a girlfriend and that's me.
"Atty. Aiah?" Manager said.
"Oh sorry, please continue." I said.
I continued interviewing the manager then i bought some snacks and went to sit by the park nearby. Bakit parang naiinis ako naririnig na pinag-uusapan nila si mikha?
"Hi aiah." Colet said.
"Hello colet. Ano ginagawa mo dito? Wala ka ba work ngayon?" I said.
"I took a day off today." Colet said.
Umupo siya sa tabi ko, i feel something off from her. I gave her some of the snacks i bought.
"Thanks." Colet said.
"Okay ka lang? You seem to be thinking something deep right now." I said.
"I was just relaxing my mind." Colet said.
"My attorney sensing skills not only for work but also it works for other topics." I said.
"It might be embarrassing to say." Colet said.
"Your expression is the same as your bestfriend." I said.
"Alam mo na dati pa may gusto na ako kay maloi." Colet said.
"Then try confessing to her." I said.
"May isang rival, justin de dios. Ka-team ko sa unit." Colet said.
"A guy." I said.
"Isang makapal na pader." Colet said.
"Well, you never know ano response ni maloi unless you confess your feelings." I said.
"What if the words i'll hear will hurt me?" Colet asked.
"I think this may be mikha's expertise but what i know is you're already hurting yourself right now by avoiding her. Kaya ka siguro nag-day off." I said.
Colet took a deep breath and smiled. I guess she already made her decision. Mag-bestfriend nga talaga sila ni mikha.
"I'll try confessing, whatever the outcome will be. I'll face it, head on." Colet said.
I think this is how mikha felt when she doesn't know what to do with what she's feeling before. After a few minutes, colet left while i went back to the office. I saw maloi talking to kuya bryan. I greeted the both of them then kuya bryan went to his office while maloi and i went to my office.
"Ano ginagawa mo dito maloi?" I asked.
"I was just stopping by to give you additional information to some of the cases your handling this week." Maloi said.
"Seems like you're handling minor cases this week too." I said.
"Yeah, himala na hindi big cases but it's a lot of minor cases." Maloi said while laughing a bit.
"Thanks for the files." I said.
"Your welcome aiah, alis na ako." Maloi said.
"Maloi wait, i wanna ask something about mikha." I said.
"Did she do something wrong?" Maloi asked.
"Earlier i did field investigation at a convenience store. Some girls were talking about mikha and one of them said she will be mikha's girlfriend if she doesn't have one." I said in a low voice.
Maloi smiled then pats my head.
"Cute niyo talaga na mag-jowa." Maloi said.
"Huh?" I said.
"The both of you are a mix of teenager and young adult couple. I guess ganyan ang epekto sa inyo ng love." Maloi said.
"Ano ibig mo sabihin?" I said.
"What you are feeling earlier, mikha also felt that during the party of your parent's when three guys were talking about you and was about to bet to try courting you. Narinig ko din sila." Maloi said.
"What did mikha do?" I asked.
"She calmed herself but your friends also help a bit calming her down especially she was holding a champagne glass." Maloi said.
"Parang naiinis ako kanina." I said.
"Then tell mikha what happened. Sometimes it's better if the both of you talk about this kind of things." Maloi said.
"I'm a bit shy talking to her about this kind of topic." I said.
"Shy? Says the girl who answered my sister by the pool with a kiss." Maloi said while smiling.
"Wait, you saw that?" I asked.
"I might have forgotten something from the kitchen that time but it was worth it seeing you two." Maloi said.
Maloi stood up from the seat.
"Well, some girls might be admiring mikha because of her appearance and popularity now but you didn't fell for her just because of her current looks." Maloi said.
Maloi left my office, leaving me thinking about what she last said. She's right, now i remember during high school i already noticed her but i just didn't realized.
I went back to work while remembering what i noticed at mikha during high school. After a few hours, it's time to go home. I told kuya bryan to drop me off at mikha's condo. I used the extra key she gave me last week.
It's my turn to surprise her. I cooked dinner then watch tv while waiting for her. After a few minutes, i doze off. When i woke up, i felt someone was already beside me.
"Babi? Kakarating mo, i'll just heat up the food." I said.
"I already heat it up po." Mikha said.
She's smiling while tucking a stray hair behind my ear. I stood up and prepared our dinner at the kitchen countertop.
"How did you know how to cook sinigang?" Mikha asked.
"Your mom taught me, i remembered it's your favorite." I said.
We ate dinner then cuddled at the bed after she washed the dishes.
"It was so delicious." Mikha said.
"Imposible ganun kasarap." I said.
"Totoo babi, it was really delicious." Mikha said.
She kissed my forehead then played with my hair. Maloi's right, i should tell mikha about earlier.
"Babi i have something to tell you." I said.
"What is it po?" Mikha asked.
"During a field investigation at a convenience store, medyo naiinis ako." I said.
"Did something happened?" Mikha asked.
"Two girl customers were talking about you, one of them said you're hot while the other one says she wants to be your girl if you don't have a girlfriend." I said.
I'm not looking at her. The feeling of being shy at this topic, mikha is the only person who makes me feel this way. Suddenly her lips crash on my lips, my eyes widen.
