Aiah's Pov
Call Conversation:
Bryan: Aiah baka tumagal pa onti meeting namin.
Me: Mag-cab nalang ako kuya.
Bryan: Okay, call me when you got home.
I ended the call, i looked at mikha who just came out of the kitchen. Her staffs already went home. Si stacey sumabay sa mga staffs.
"Wala pa si kuya bryan?" Mikha asked.
"Nasa meeting pa, i'll just take a cab." I said.
"Taking a cab in this time of night? Delikado aiah." Mikha said.
"Mikhs i'm an attorney." I said, laughing a bit.
"A very famous attorney, i'll just drive you home." Mikha said.
"Sure ka?" I asked.
"Yes, it's also my way of thanking you for coming tonight." Mikha said.
Tinignan ko si mikha. Her appearance changed a bit, i remembered during high school sometimes she wore glasses and dark colored clothes.
"Is there something on my face?" Mikha asked.
"Nothing, i just remembered something about you." I said.
"About me?" Mikha asked.
"Super shy person ka noon but now it doesn't seem like your that kind of person anymore." I said.
"Maybe i got used to remove some of my shyness because of my career." Mikha said.
"Your cute too when your shy." I said.
"L-Let's go to my car." Mikha said.
She stuttered just like during high school. Habang nagdadrive si mikha ay bigla umulan.
"That's weird, maaraw lang buong maghapon at walang ulap." I said.
"Mapang-asar ang weather pag gabi." Mikha said.
The rain is now pouring hard. Some of the roads are flooded. My phone is ringing, kuya bryan is calling.
Call Conversation:
Bryan: Aiah where are you?
Me: Pauwi na kuya, ihahatid ako ni mikha.
Bryan: I'm already home, pabaha na daanan. The meeting ended early than i thought.
Me: Hindi then ako makauwi.
Bryan: Put me on speaker.
Me: Huh?
Bryan: Just do it aiah.
Me: Okay kuya.
Bryan: Good evening mikha, can you do me a favor?
Mikha: Good evening din po, i can kuya.
Bryan: Do you mind if my sister will stay at your place tonight? The roads are already flooded here.
Mikha: Sure po kuya.
Bryan: Thank you mikha, drive safe.
Kuya bryan ended the call while mikha turned the car around away from the road to my house.
"Mikha i can just stay at the arceta hotel." I said.
"It's okay with me for you to stay tonight at my condo." Mikha said.
"Condo?" I asked.
"Well, pag ganitong maulan ay sa condo ako umuuwi." Mikha said.
After a few minutes, we arrived at her condo. The condo where she lives has a basement garage so we used the elevator from there. She opened the door for me.
"Make yourself comfortable aiah." Mikha said.
I sat in the couch of her living area habang pumunta siya sa kitchen. She really looks great in her chef attire.
"Your place is amazing mikhs. Nakaka-relax ang gray and white na color." I said.
"I like gray and white." Mikha said.
She went in and out of her bedroom, she changed her clothes.
"May damit ako nilagay sa bed, pwede ka mag shower aiah. You can wear my clothes for tonight." Mikha said.
"Thanks mikhs, ang bait mo talaga." I said.
"Your welcome aiah." Mikha said while smiling.
I went to her bedroom, there's a cream colored pajamas on the bed. Nag shower muna ako bago bumalik kay mikha na nasa kitchen magluluto ng dinner.
"Can i help?" I asked.
I tap mikha's shoulder. Nagulat siya sabay nalagyan ng harina mukha niya. Tahimik kami ng saglit then sabay kami natawa.
"It looks like chef mikha can be clumsy too." I said.
"Hindi din maiiwasan." Mikha said.
I wiped the flour from her face using my handkerchief. This is the second time that i'm this close to her. The first time ay noon high school, binigyan ko siya ng sunflower crochet keychain sa laban ng classroom nila.
FLASHBACK
"Aiah ano bibilhin mo?" Sheena asked.
It's lunchtime, we just finished eating lunch so i decided to take sheena with me outside to buy a token for mikha.
"Something to give to mikha." I said.
"Mikha? Mikhaela janna lim, bestfriend of gwen?" Sheena asked.
"Yes, siya nagbigay ng tulip at keychain. Na-appreciates ko so i want to give her something too." I said.
Nandito kami sa keychain shop malapit lang sa school. I think i found the perfect token, a sunflower crochet keychain. Binili ko na agad at bumalik na kami sa school.
"A sunflower crochet keychain? First time kita makita na bumili ng token para sa isang tao katulad ni mikha." Sheena said.
"Talaga? Firs time ko din kasi maka-received ng tulip, every valentine's day i always received roses." I said.
"Well, goodluck in giving that keychain to her
Alam ko na super shy person siya." Sheena said.
"I'll find a way to give it to her later." I said.
During the whole afternoon, dumadaan ako sa room nila mikha pag pumupunta ako sa restroom. Naghahanap ng tyempo.
"Hindi mo pa nabibigay? Pwede natin ipaabot kay bebe." Sheena said.
"There's still time, hintayin mo nalang ako sa gate." I said.
Sheena and the others left while i wait in the stairs for the dismissal of mikha's class. After a few minutes, nakita ako nila colet. Hindi nila kasama si mikha.
"Aiah hindi ka pa uuwi?" Jho asked.
"It's valentine's day, baka may date." Colet said.
"Minsan talaga slow din kayong dalawa. Aiah she's alone in there, you can go to her." Gwen said.
"Thanks gwen." I said.
Pumunta ako sa harap ng classroom nila mikha, sumandal ako sa pader malapit sa door. Rinig ko palabas na si mikha, nakatingin siya sa floor. Hindi niya ata napansin presence ko. I tap her shoulder.
"A-Aiah." Mikha said.
"Nagulat ba kita? I just want to say thank you for the tulip and keychain." I said.
"I-I'm okay." Mikha said.
Nautal siya. I stepped forward then placed my token on her hand.
"Here's a sunflower crotchet keychain, a token of appreciation." I said while smiling.
"Thanks aiah, sorry nautal ako." Mikha said.
"That's okay, cute mo din mautal." I said.
END OF FLASHBACK
"Aiah okay ka lang?" Mikha asked.
I got spaced out remembering that time.
"I'm okay. So can i help you cook? May alam din ako sa basic cooking." I said while smiling.
"Sure, i'm making adobong baboy and fish fillet." Mikha said.
"Gutom ka ata." I said, laughing a bit.
"I am, isa sa paborito ko kasi ay adobo." Mikha said while smiling.
Mikha lets me mix the batter for the fish fillet habang nagluluto siya ng adobo. Ina-assist niya ako sa pagprito sa fish fillet. She looks so happy cooking. After an hour, natapos na din kami nagluto. Tinitignan muna namin mga niluto namin, mikha's smiling.
"May sasabihin ako aiah." Mikha said.
"Ano mikhs?" I asked.
"First time ko magluto with someone here in my condo." Mikha said.
"Really? Bakit sila jho?" I asked.
"Nanunuod lang sila ng tv habang ako nagluluto. Minsan dito din kami umiinom, pinsan mo nagdadala ng beer." Mikha said.
"Well, it's an honor to cook with you mikhs. Mas okay na din dito kayo umiinom." I said.
"I know na masarap luto natin." Mikha said.
We ate while watching tv then she washed the dishes habang nagphophone ako.
"Aiah you can sleep in my bedroom, sa couch nalang ako." Mikha said.
"I can just be the one sleeping here on the couch." I said.
"I insist aiah, ikaw nalang sa kama." Mikha said.
"Then let's just sleep together in your bed, mukhang kasya naman tayong dalawa." I said.
"O-Okay." Mikha said.
It's really cute how she changes to being casual or not being shy then suddenly stuttering or flustered. We went to her bedroom then we're laying on the bed while looking at the ceiling. She's on the right side while i'm on the left side.
"Mikhs can i ask you something?" I said.
"Sure." Mikha said.
"Sa sinabi mo kay gelo na i deserve someone better. What do you meant by that?" I asked.
"Oh that, it came on my mind when i saw the both of you arguing." Mikha said.
I turned my body to my right side. Nakatingin na ako kay mikha, nakatingin siya sa ceiling.
"Someone who will do anything for you even without you asking for it. Who is really understanding and cares for you even if you're too busy at work." Mikha said.
She turned on her left side, now we're facing each other.
"Someone who wants to keep your smiles to himself or herself only." Mikha said.
Her expression and voice while she's saying those words, halata galing sa puso. Himself or herself only?
"In love ka ata mikha, baka may jowa kana." I said.
"I've never been in a relationship." Mikha said, laughing a bit.
"Bakit naman? You're a famous chef now." I said.
"I don't want someone who only likes me because i'm a famous chef." Mikha said.
"You got a point." I said.
"During high school, kilala ako na medyo nerd ang itsura. Maybe my career improved my appearance but i'm still the same mikha." I said.
"I'm sure the person who will make you fall in love will surely be lucky." I said.
"Right now, medyo focus ako sa career and gonna enjoy my life when i have time." Mikha said.
"Gusto ko yung sinabi mo na someone who will do anything for me even without me asking for it." I said.
"Aiah i hope you find that someone better." Mikha said.
"I hope so too." I said.
"Good night aiah." Mikha said.
"Good night too mikhs." I said.
We smiled at each other then we fall asleep. The next day, i woke up without mikha beside me, may naamoy ako agad galing sa kitchen. Bumangon na ako at lumabas ng kwarto. Kakatapos magluto ni mikha ng breakfast.
"Good morning mikhs." I said.
"Good morning aiah." Mikha asked.
"Aga mo nagising." I said.
"Body clock." Mikha said while smiling.
She placed a cup of coffee and a danggit silog in front of me.
"Breakfast is served." Mikha said.
"Wow danggit silog? Thanks mikhs, let's eat." I said.
She gets plate of danggit silog for herself then sat at the seat beside me.
"Pupunta ka ba sa restaurant ngayon?" I asked.
"Oo pero hindi din ako masyado tatagal, punta ako bgc. Ikaw ba?" Mikha asked.
"Sa firm ako later pero hindi din tatagal." I said.
"Aiah do you wanna go to bgc with me after you go to the firm?" Mikha asked.
Tumingin ako kay mikha. She's in her shy mode asking the question. I find her really cute when she's like that.
"Sure mikhs." I said.
"Really??" Mikha asked.
"Yes really. Why are you shocked?" I asked.
"Kasi baka may balak ka i-enjoy pahinga mo sa bahay niyo kaysa sa lumabas." Mikha said.
"Well, i like going out during my free time than just staying at home. It's been a while since i went out with a friend and si sheena lang din nakakasama ko kasi busy din minsan si maloi at stacey." I said.
"I'm your friend?" Mikha asked.
"Of course, we are friends since high school right?" I asked.
"Yes." Mikha said while smiling.
"Good." I said, smiling back at her.
