Maloi's Pov
"Ricalde have you given the file to the LawVoyagers firm?" Chief Lauren asked.
"Yes chief." I said.
"Good, assist the attorney that will handle the case. Pwede kana din umuwi. Pakisabi congratulation sa sister mo for her new restaurant branch." Chief Lauren said.
I left the chief's office then went to my office. This week surely will make me busy but i have time for tomorrow to support mikha. Ilang segundo lang, my office door opened. Pumasok si colet.
"Hi captain, ano sabi ni chief?" Colet asked.
"Dinodouble check niya lang progress ng new case." I said.
I'm mary loi yves kipte ricalde, a detective, captain of the special detective unit and stepsister of mikha lim. Maloi is my nickname.
"Ice matcha latte for captain ricalde." Colet said.
Binaba niya sa table yung latte.
"Thanks colet." I said.
"Okay ka lang ba?" Colet asked.
"Just a bit tired. Kakatapos lang natin ng isang case ay may binigay agad satin." I said.
"Team natin ang favorite ni chief." Colet said.
"After this case, magbabakasyon ang team lalo na ako." I said.
"Magugustuhan yan ng team. Uso din kasi magpahinga captain, magkapatid nga kayo ni mikhs na focus masyado sa work." Colet said while smiling.
Tinignan ko si colet, her smile. Na-rerelax ako nakikita smile niya, hindi nakakasawa tignan. I admit that i like her pero hindi ko pinapahalata. May sasabihin sana si colet ng may bigla nag-knock sa door.
"Come in." I said.
It's aiah.
"Hi detective maloi, colet." Aiah said.
"What brought you here atty. Arceta?" I asked.
"I'm the attorney for the new case assigned to your team." Aiah said.
"Nice si aiah na naman, looking forward to working with you again." Colet said.
"Oo pala may ibibigay ako." Aiah said.
May pinakita siya na phone, familiar yung phone.
"Mikha left her phone at the firm when she dropped by the file." Aiah said.
Kinilig ata si mikha lim, may naisip ako bigla na idea.
"Pauwi kana ba aiah?" I asked.
"Yes, i just want to give mikha's phone to you." Aiah said.
"Tara dinner sa bahay, kasama din si colet at pwede din ikaw magbigay ng phone niya personally. Himala nakalimutan niya phone." I said.
"Baka busy iniisip restaurant niya." Aiah said.
I packed up my things then we went to my house. Dala ni aiah car niya, sinundan niya nalang car ko.
"Maloi ano pinaplano mo?" Colet asked.
Sa team ko, si colet at jho pinaka-close ko since schoolmates ko sila ng high school then classmates ko sila ng college. Pag sa labas ng office, tinatawag nila ako sa nickname ko. Ramdam agad ni colet pag may bigla ako pinaplano.
"Being a cupid for tonight." I said.
"Bilis ng utak mo sa ganitong situation." Colet said.
"Tinutulungan ko lang si mikha, bagal ng manok ko." I said.
"Okay but don't overdo helping. Hayaan mo minsan si mikha especially hindi pa siya nag-confess." Colet said.
I already informed mom and papa that i'm coming home with colet and aiah. Sabi nila nakauwi na si mikha, nakasimangot daw wala phone niya. After a few minutes, nakarating na kami sa bahay.
"We're here mom, papa." I said.
"Good evening ma'am and sir." Aiah said.
"Aiah tawagan mo nalang din kami tita and tito. We're glad to have you join us for dinner." Mom said.
"Good evening tita, tito." Colet said.
"Colet mabuti sinama ka ni maloi." Mom said.
"Hindi pinansin ang anak." I said.
"Wag kana magtampo yves, tawagin mo na si mikha. Dinner's ready." Papa said, laughing a bit.
Pumunta ako sa taas, i can feel mikha's mood in the hallway. Kumatok muna ako sa pintuan bago binuksan. Naka-simangot siya habang nakahiga sa kama.
"Mikhs dinner's ready." I said.
"I forgot my phone in the LawVoyagers firm." Mikha said.
"Bakit hindi ka bumalik para kunin?" I asked.
"Malapit na mahalata kilig ko. I saw their family picture sa table. I was holding it and said that aiah's really beautiful then i didn't notice she was already behind me." Mikha said in a fast pace.
"So she heard you say those words then deep inside kinikilig ka. You gave the file to kuya bryan and quickly left." I said.
"That's right, wait paano mo alam umalis ako agad?" Mikha asked.
"Tara na muna sa baba, dinner's ready." I said.
I smiled at her at bumalik na sa baba. Hinihintay na nila kami sa dining table.
"Nasaan si mikha?" Mom asked.
"She's about to come down mom." I said.
Sa upuan sa tabi ni colet ako umupo. After one minute, narinig na namin si mikha pababa na.
"Mom i don't think i can eat dinner." Mikha said.
Tumigil siya bigla sa paglalakad. Who wouldn't stop when you saw the person you like having dinner with your family? Success na-surprise ang nag iisang mikha lim.
"Hi mikha." Aiah said.
"Hi aiah." Mikha said.
"Anak sure ka ba hindi ka kakain? Niluto ko isa sa paborito mo, sinigang. Seat beside aiah." Mom said.
Umupo na siya sa tabi ni aiah, magkatapat lang kami. Bigla niya inapakan paa ko, napayuko ako ng ulo. Bumawi agad siya, my turn na mang-asar.
"Maloi okay ka lang?" Mikha asked.
"I'm okay mikhs. May ibibigay pala si aiah, phone mo." I said while smiling.
"Mikhs nakalimutan mo kanina sa firm, ibigay ko pagkatapos kumain." Aiah said.
"Thanks aiah, makakalimutin ako minsan pag madami iniisip." Mikha said.
After dinner, aiah stayed for a bit with mikha habang hinatid ko naman si colet sa condo niya.
"Success cupid duty mo." Colet said.
"Kaya nga eh ikaw ba need mo ba tulong ni kupido?" I asked.
"Depende kung matutulungan ako ni kupido." Colet said.
"Aba may crush kana pala nicolette vergara." I said.
"Biro lang, umuwi kana maloi. Ingat sa pag uwi." Colet said while smiling.
Pumasok na siya sa building. May crush na kaya si colet? Makauwi na nga lang. Pagkauwi ko, i saw mikha in the living room with mom and papa. Tumayo siya agad pagkakita niya sakin.
"Mary loi yves ricalde." Mikha said, glaring at me.
"Teka teka mikhs binilhan kita ng favorite snack mo. Nasa pantry na." I said.
Umupo na ako agad sa tabi ni mom. Alam niya wala siya magawa pag nasa tabi ako nila mom. Umupo siya sa tabi ni papa.
"Umalis na agad si aiah?" I asked.
"Yes, she gave me my phone." Mikha said.
"Mikhs i-eexplain ko muna side ko." I said.
"Explain bago kita ma-wrestling later." Mikha said.
"Mom help si mikhs oh." I said.
"Next time tell me i advance if your planning something, muntik na ako napatakbo sa room ko." Mikha said.
"First nahulaan ko lang na you got flustered kaya naiwan mo phone, second she went to the office para ibigay din sana phone mo so an idea pop in my mind to invite aiah have dinner with us." I said.
"Nice idea honey." Mom said.
"Mom not you too." Mikha said, pouting.
"Okay let's get to the point. What's the relationship of you and aiah?" Papa asked mikha.
"We're friends." Mikha said.
"Friends?" Mom, papa and i said.
"Halata hindi ka pa nag-coconfess sa kanya." I said.
"I'm trying." Mikha said.
"What if she rejected your feelings?" I asked.
"I'll prove myself to her, even if i would be rejected many times." Mikha said in a confident tone.
Napa-smile kami kay mikha, she's building her confidence for aiah.
"Just remember, nandito lang kami family mo mikhaela janna lim." I said.
"Thanks maloi, mom and papa." Mikha said.
Mikha smiled at us. Pumunta na siya sa room niya to get an early sleep for tomorrow's restaurant grand opening. Medyo naluluha naman bigla si mom.
"I'm so proud of my daughter. She's grown up." Mom said.
"Also just let mikha make her own moves." Papa said.
"Yes papa." I said.
Gelo's Pov
"Kuya bryan thank you for coming." I said.
I invited bryan arceta, aiah's brother sa coffee shop malapit sa law firm.
"What do you want gelo?" Richie asked.
"Kuya bryan i need your help para magkabalikan kami ni aiah. I really love your sister." I said.
"Love? If you really love her, why would you need to hurt her? Nalaman ko din na ilang beses kana nag cheat sa kanya." Bryan said.
"Nag-sisi na ako kuya." I said.
"Gelo my answer will stay as no. If i were you don't try taking her back and she deserves someone better than you." Bryan said.
"Better than me? Who would that be? No one is better than me." I said.
"It looks like your arrogance didn't change at all, aiah did made the right choice of breaking up with you." Bryan said.
Tumayo na siya at umalis. Someone better than me? Kilala ko sino nag sabi nun. My mind is furious right now. I went to the arceta hotel.
"Where have you been?" Mikki asked.
Mikki is a chef here in the hotel, also my bestfriend since we we're kids.
"Kinausap ko si kuya bryan. I asked for his help in getting me and aiah back together but he said no." I said.
"Are you really that desperate? Gelo remember kasalanan mo kaya nakipagbreak siya sayo." Mikki said.
"I don't care, i want maraiah queen arceta." I said.
"You even used your family's power just to be head chef here." Mikki said.
"Ano sabi mo? I deserve to be head chef in any hotels." I said.
"Ang yabang mo talaga. Mikha is really better than you, how i wish she just came back here instead of building her restaurant." Mikki said.
"Don't compare with her, i'm a better chef than her." I said.
"Gelo you already been compared by many people." Mikki said.
I grab the collar of his chef coat and pinned him on the wall. The other staffs are trying to pull me away from him.
"What's going on here?" Mr. Robles said.
It's the general manager, mr. Robles and husband of aiah's aunt.
"Gelo let go of mikki" Mr. Robles said.
I let go of mikki then fixed my chef coat.
"Sino nauna? We have a rule of no fighting in the kitchen." Mr. Robles said.
"Sir it's head chef gelo." Staff 1 said.
"Explain gelo." Mr. Robles said.
"Mikki is disrespecting me, he's comparing me to mikha lim." I said.
"Hindi mo lang talaga matanggap na mas magaling si mikha." Mikki said.
"I'm better than her!" I said.
"Gelo! Leave now." Mr. Robles said.
"Are you firing me?" I asked furiously.
"Yes and it's not me who's firing you but it's ceo bryan arceta. He already talked with your father." Mr. Robles said.
"Fine, aalis ako. The great angelo troy rivera is not fit for this hotel." I said.
I left the hotel and went home. I'm so furious right now.
"Mom! Mom!" I said.
"Gelo bakit ka sumisigaw?" Mom asked.
"Why am i fired in the arceta hotel? Deserve ko mag-work doon." I said.
"Fired? That's impossible." Mom said.
"It is possible especially by your son's attitude." Dad said.
He just arrived and he's glaring at me.
"Bryan arceta just came by in my office and he told me that he fired you not because you and her sister are now broken up but by your big attitude." Dad said.
"Dad i'm a famous chef." I said.
"Famous arrogant chef, i agreed with bryan and i don't want our family name to be a disgrace by you." Dad said.
He holds the collar of my coat and pinned me on the wall.
"Change yourself or better yet don't do anything that will make me disown you." Dad said.
He let go of me and went upstairs. Mom quickly fixed my coat.
"Kakausapin ko dad mo, i'll find you a hotel that deserves you to be their head chef." Mom said.
"No need mom, this is her fault. Mikha lim, i'll make sure i'll get my revenge." I said.
"Gelo it's bad to get revenge especially to a girl." Mom said.
"I don't care mom, i want my revenge." I said furiously.
You're gonna regret messing with me mikha lim, i'm gonna take back what's mine.
