Ruhi:

"Thirty minutes," Ekansh repeated before stepping into his room.

I strolled inside my room and huffed, "Uff!"

I had no idea what to wear, so I called Saniya for advice. Following his request, I pulled out two white dresses I owned: an Anarkali dress and a full-sleeved one-piece.

When I showed Saniya the options, she quickly replied, "Obviously, go with the one-piece, Ruhi."

"I rarely wear them. What if I end up looking like a clown?" I wondered.

"You do not know about this all, Ruhi. But trust me, apke Shohar Miya ke hosh udh jaynge." (Your husband will go out of his senses.)

I shook my head in response. If I get a mouth filter, I will definitely gift it to her.

"Now go, get dressed but I need complete details of what you both did." My cheeks turned crimson red. I nodded my head and cut her call.

I dressed in the white one-piece, which came to my knees. I glanced once in the mirror, tilting my body in all directions. Well, it wasn't as weird as imagined. I look beautiful. But I was unsure about my hair, so I opted for a ponytail. I slipped into a pair of white heels and wore white diamond earrings paired with pearls. I grabbed a simple white clutch that barely fit my mobile phone and credit card.

I felt his presence on the door and, I pulled open the door before he could knock.

"Ahh..." I opened my mouth but couldn't utter a word. Even he was experiencing the exact situation.

He looked handsome in a light green button-up. I was so out of words that I could hardly clear my throat and wet my lips.

Ekansh stepped near me. I took a step back. "Dariye math, Jaan!" My steps halted.

Jaan Jaan kehkar sach mei ye meri jaan lejaye.

He is going to steal my soul.

Leading his hand behind my head, unexpectedly he pulled the rubber band, causing my hair to spread all over my shoulders and back.

"Now. You look amazing," he expressed, tugging a strand of my hair behind my ear. Offering his hand, "shall we leave?" I nodded my head and took his hand. As I strolled down the steps, Gurpreet was beaming constantly.

I exchanged my farewell by shaking my hand and she did the same and gave a thumbs-up.

While we drove to his surprise location I kept on asking him, "Where are we going?"

He only chuckled, "Ruhi. It's a surprise, so have patience."

We stopped in front of a huge building. It was a hotel, and while we were inside the reception of the hotel, I thought that my decision to wear one piece was better than the Anarkali.

A man approached us and greeted us, "Hello, Mr. and Mrs. Razdan. I am Aman Khanna, the manager of Elite Hotel. I am delighted to have your presence here. Please come with me." He took us to the elevator.

I got anxious, "Where–" Ekansh put his index on my lips. "Trust me," He whispered and I nodded. Holding my hand, he intertwined his fingers with mine and ushered me with him. After we three stepped inside the elevator, he poked the button on the last floor of the building. That was the 25th floor.

I glanced at Ekansh as we rode in the elevator. He stared at my curious face and smiled. What if Anthra and he planned to throw me from there? Yes, it's common for a couple in an affair to plan that.

Leaning against me, he whispered, "apko katar ke khane ka intezam kar rahe hai hum." My eyes widened and I stared agape at him.

(I planned to eat you raw, tonight!)

He smiled and stared ahead, watching the floor number on the small screen. I fisted my hands in anxiety and regretted wearing a short dress.

The doors of the elevator pulled open and it revealed a small table covered with a white cloth in the centre. While we walked towards it, I admired the decorations done around and above the table. Above all I loved the location, It's a rooftop.

I shared a smile with Ekansh. Moreover, there was silent romantic music playing in the background. In the corner there was a large mattress with dark red silk sheets covering it and in front of it was a big screen.

Ekansh first pulled the chair and I sat upon it. Next, he took a position on a chair opposite me.

Mr Khanna, who escorted us took a Champagne bottle from the table. After pulling out the cork, he filled the glasses for us.

"Please enjoy your dinner, Mr. and Mrs. Razdan." I smiled at the manager. He turned and walked away after giving a respectful bow to us.

"So, do you like it?" Ekansh pried. I gave a once-over to the place and added, "It's excellent. I love it. Especially this music."

He smiled and took a sip from his glass but pinned me with his gaze through the brim of the glass.

I felt conscious about myself and rubbed my hands through my dress. "Thanks for keeping my word. You look like a cute angel."

"Thank you," I mumbled and had a sip of Champagne from my glass.

After a few minutes, a few waiters approached the table from the same elevator and served us different dishes.

I don't eat other than Indian food and that was my first time trying continental.

"How is the food?" He asked, beginning the conversation.

I had a small piece of prawns with sauce. "Honestly, I don't have much knowledge about non-Indian foods but this is delicious."

"I am glad that you like it," He expressed. Then he served me some grilled fish along with grilled vegetables and some sauce. "You will like this also."

I tasted it and felt good. "It's tasty," I informed, nodding my head.

He smiled and asked out of the blue, "Why do you live a precise life, Ruhi? You have everything, especially money is not a matter to you."

"I know many like to think out of the box. But they forget to feel or devour the things within the box."

Ekansh:

Ruhi Razdan is a box full of surprises to me. She was bonded to me since her birth but I hardly knew about her. And her peculiar conduct towards me never let me enter her surroundings. But since I started to know about her, I enjoy her company and like to hear her thoughts. I always say that she is too mature for her age.

But there was something I wanted to know. So, I asked her directly. "Why did you hate me, Ruhi? Before our wedding, I wanted to speak with you, I wanted to know about you. But you never let me in your surroundings." She met her eyes with mine before drifting it back to the plate in front of her

She used the fork to separate the flesh from the fish bone, and she explained things to me: "I never saw my parents happy with each other. Since my tau ji married a non-Punjabi, dadu wanted the second daughter-in-law to be a Punjabi, that's my mom. But dadu never asked my father about his wish," She gulped, still moving her fork here and there and I perceived hurt in her deportment. "He loved someone else." I stared in shock at her. She lifted her eyes and met with mine. Nodding her head, "Exactly similar to us."

Lekin aap ye nahi janthi ki ab humari soch badal juki hai Ruhi. Ab aap sabse zyada ehmiyath banth juki ho.

But you are unaware of my thoughts, Ruhi. Now, I want only you.

"Then I was born, and my father said I was a mistake."

Shit! Who would say that to their child?

"Since I witnessed their unsuccessful wedding firsthand, I developed a fear of weddings. Knowing that you would be my husband, I acted poorly and treated you badly. I expected you to leave me for another woman and to refuse to marry me. Everything unfolded exactly as I had imagined. You grew to hate me, you chose another woman for yourself, yet somehow, we ended up marrying each other.

During my childhood, whenever I visited their home, I noticed her parents arguing from time to time. As a child, I couldn't fully grasp their situation. After Ruhi turned four, we stopped playing together. She started school and made new friends, and at that time, Ekta came into my life, taking the place of toddler Ruhi.

"I'm sorry you had to go through that at such a young age," I said as I stood up, surprising her, and knelt slightly. "Will you dance with me, beautiful girl?"

A bright smile spread across her face, making her eyes sparkle. She placed her hand in mine and stood up. I guided her to place her other hand on my shoulder, and I put my hand on her waist. We both swayed slowly and silently to the music."

"How did you meet her?" She asked out of the blue and truthfully I didn't want our night to get disturbed by unwanted topics.

"Can we speak about others later?" I requested, softly, "I want to enjoy this night only with you, Meri Jaan," she pressed her lips and nodded.

"Thank you for this beautiful night," She whispered, there was still a distant distance between us, which should be decreased. And I know that I have to gain her trust in me to do that.

"But the night is not over yet, Meri Jaan." I enjoyed the crimson-red blush on her face, whenever I call her Jaan.

I never realized when my opinion started to change,  I feel like Ruhi is my only world but I am searching for it in another person. She has gifted my life in only a few days with so many things which are not visible to my eyes but I appreciate the changes taking place in me.

I pushed her away, taking her off-guard and then pulled her back, making her slam against my chest.

"You are unpredictable, Ekansh," she scolded me and hit on my chest.

I leaned towards her face and surprised her by placing my lips on her forehead. "Bhut pyaari hai ap." (You are so beautiful.)

After we pulled away, I made her sit down on the mattress and took the remote. "Are we watching a movie?" She asked with quiet enthusiasm.

I already selected a movie for us. So when I pressed the button, the Aashiqui 2 movie played on the screen.

"Aashiqui 2," she whispered, blushing red. I should thank Akriti di for sharing her likes and dislikes with me.

"Do you like it?"

"I love it. This is the best of all movies. The love between them. The songs and all are just so mesmerizing," She kept rambling. So, this is the dark side of my little wife.

As she was about to settle on another pillow, I pulled her toward me and made her rest against my chest. She wasn't comfortable for a few minutes and resisted, slightly but knowing that I was not giving up, she calmed her nerves and relaxed in my embrace, by paying concentration to the movie.

I texted the manager to send us cheese popcorn. Which is again her favourite.

After a waiter brought us a bowl full of popcorn, I covered our lower halves with a comforter.

"Are we sleeping here tonight?" She asked sweetly and I just nodded. Her head moved back to the screen. She was so busy watching a movie that she forgot about her popcorn. I grabbed a fistful of popcorn and started feeding her.

Later I got involved in the movie too, and stopped feeding her.

But since the kiss scene, the aura surrounding us turned into a heated one. I tilted my head towards her and constantly stared at Ruhi while the couple made out on the couch.

Though she perceived my gaze on her, she ignored it and stared at the screen. But a few seconds later, she spun her head and stared at me.

I wasted no other second and placed my lips on hers. The moment my lips contacted her I felt like I was soaked in alcohol full of drum.

I pulled her closer and she moved without any protest or objection. I pulled her further close,  made her settle on my lap and wound her legs around my waist. That position turned me on.

I stopped kissing her for a few seconds so that she could get enough of the oxygen for our second kiss. I was so slow and treated her delicately.

I placed my lips on hers once again. She was controlling herself from moaning but when I slipped my tongue inside her mouth, a moan escaped out of her throat. And that felt like an eternity to me. I pulled away and stared at her with a huge smirk on my face.

She had no guts to look into my eyes but whispered, "I... I feel sleepy."

When she was about to pull her legs away from my waist, I grabbed her bare legs, objecting to her movement and she flinched.

I spun us and slowly placed her on the mattress.

I am so concerned about her delicateness that I am too scared to take things extensively with her.

My only concern is not to hurt her in any condition. Not emotionally or physically. But the desire to make love to her is also driving me crazy. I chuckled inwardly, Sirf kuch pal mei apne Ekansh Razdan ko badal hi dala, Ruhi Razdan.

In just a couple of weeks, Ruhi Razdan, you completely changed me.

The moment her head touched the pillow, she closed her eyes and pretended to be in deep sleep. I slept just beside her and continuously stared at her. Whenever she felt my hot breath on her face, she was being uneasy. That I determined through rapid movement of her eyeballs, yet I continued teasing her.

I moved my face near to her and whispered against her face, "Dariye math Ruhi, apko khayenge toh apki marji se hi.

"Don't worry, I will not bite you, without your permission!"

Instantly she pulled open her lids and stared shocked at me. I laughed at her. "Bade Badmash ho aap!" She scolded me and whirled around.

I laughed again but covered her with the comforter. I switched off the projector and called it a night. A beautiful, twinkling star night with bright moonlight and a beautiful angel beside me.

Eventually, I decided to call off the divorce.
