Lately, Rhine often heard distant voices of wishes being made.
Each day, he would pick the strongest wishes to listen to closely and make them come true.
Rhine didnât need to physically go to where the wish-makers were. Instead, he would summon small natural spirits or birds or issue orders to local officials to indirectly provide aid.
Suddenly, he heard another voice of prayer from afar.
âWhat an incredible wish force!â
Rhine shuddered slightly.
This time, the wish-maker was a âChild of Destiny,â or more accurately, a âProtagonist of Fateâ!
Rhine had long suspected that the so-called âChildren of Destinyâ were characters from fairy tales with significant presence. However, he had never had the opportunity to confirm this theoryâuntil now.
Closing his eyes quickly, Rhine tuned in to Ozâs prayer.
âA magician and balloon operator named Oz? Works in a circus. Fears being implicated in the fake golden plate incidentâ¦â
Reading the details of the wish, Rhine chuckled softly.
âSo thatâs all? Heâs just scared of this?â
âWell, since you prayed to me in your dream, Iâll grant your wish,â Rhine muttered with a small smile.
âThe content of the wish: to escape the kingdom and find a safe place.â
As he thought about it, many connections began forming in Rhineâs mind regarding Ozâs identity.
The name Oz.
A Child of Destinyâ¦
A timid personalityâ¦
Skilled in magic tricks and balloon pilotingâ¦
âCould it be that Oz?â
âThe scammer king Oz from The Wonderful Wizard of Oz or The Wizard of the Land of Oz!?â
In this classic fairy tale, the protagonist Dorothy is swept away by a tornado to a magical dreamland called the Land of Oz, where she embarks on a fantastical journey and befriends the Scarecrow, the Tin Man, and the Cowardly Lion. êðÅÅðÃê©
The Land of Oz is protected by powerful witches in the East, West, North, and South. Meanwhile, in the center of the landâs Emerald City resides Oz, a supposedly great and powerful wizard.
Of course, as the story unfolds, readers following Dorothyâs perspective discover that the so-called Great Wizard Oz is actually a fraudâhis âmagicâ is nothing more than a collection of clever tricks and illusions.
âSo itâs that Oz.â
âThis must be Oz before he goes to the Land of Oz!â
âWell, itâs obviously not called the Land of Oz yetâOz hasnât even gone there yet!â
âGuess itâll be a few more years before the Emerald City is built!â
âAnd a long time after that, Dorothy will finally arrive in the Land of Oz!â
âI canât believe Iâve arrived in such an early era and met the future âGreat Wizardâ Oz.â
This realization caught Rhine slightly off guard.
After all, in the original The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Ozâs hometown was Omaha, Nebraska, in the United States.
However, since this mixed fairy tale world didnât have a country called âthe United States of America,â it made sense for Ozâs birthplace and background to have shifted.
Rhine began considering how to fulfill Ozâs wish.
âIn the original story, Oz ends up in the magical land due to a hot air balloon accident. So, letâs help him fulfill that prophecy!â
â¦
Today, the circus where Oz worked was holding a regular performance.
Before the show began, Oz sat in an ascending hot air balloon, attracting the crowdâs attention and gathering them together to buy tickets.
Suddenly, someone in the audience shouted,
âWow, itâs the Kingâs soldiers! Are they here to watch the circus too?â
Peering out of the balloon basket, Oz spotted a small squad of soldiers approaching.
âDamn it, damn it!â
âMy nightmare is coming true. They must be here on the Kingâs orders to capture me!â
The brilliant magician turned pale as a corpse, trembling uncontrollably in the balloon basket.
Snap!
Before Oz could react, the ropes tethering the balloon suddenly snapped.
âAhhh! Whatâs happening? Why did the ropes break?!â
The untethered balloon, now at the mercy of the wind, rose higher and higher into the sky.
The balloon floated farther and farther away, carried by the breeze.
The audience below screamed in astonishment:
âThe magician Oz is still up in the balloon! Someone save him!â
