I was out to dinner with Dani just releasing some steam before my sisters sixteenth birthday party tomorrow night because I was stressed and pissed. I wasn't even stressed about planning for it because I enjoyed that part a lot. I was stressed and hurt because Laila didn't deserve to be flaked on and I can tell she wasn't okay about what happened but she had to be okay because they wasn't going to be there and be able to fulfill their role at the party.
"What's going on what you thinking about?" Dani asked. "What do you mean?" I asked. "You sitting here looking like a bad bitch but look like something's wrong besides I know my best friend" she said making me faintly smiled. "Im stressed out and I'm over people and their bullshit" I honestly said.
"This is about Micheal?" She asked as I nodded "and my bum ass father" I said placing my menu down shaking my leg some.
"What happened?!" Dani asked. "Yesterday night Laila came downstairs and asked if I could walk her out for her party" I started off. "Wait wasn't that your dads job?" She questioned. "Yeah and Micheal told Laila that if her dad flaked on her he would be there to walk her out since Rashawn wouldn't make it and Will is out of town for his aunts funeral and won't be able to walk her out" I explained as Dani's mouth dropped some. "So Laila said her father isn't coming and Micheal texted Laila saying he wouldn't be able to walk her out" I explained.
"Is she okay?!" Dani asked concerned "she says she's okay but I can tell she isn't" I admitted. "And it makes me hurt and angry because both them niggas make me feel that way and I don't want her to feel that pain" I expressed feeling a tear fall from my eyes. "Not here" Dani said handing me a napkin.
"You want to go and step to the bathroom real fast?" Dani asked as I shook my head then felt another tear come out.
Dani immediately got our waiter "excuse me" she started off as she gained his attention. "We're going to step away to the bathroom quickly, we're still looking for what we want to eat" she explained as he understood. Dani grabbed my hand as I wiped my tears as we walked back to the women's restroom.
Dani closed the door as it was just us and I started to bawl.
I heard her walk off then come back and wrap her arms around me. "Stop crying" she said soothingly while rubbing my back. "Imma be real with you boo, and you know I am because you my sis first and foremost" Dani started off pulling away to look at me. "You got to realize sometimes no matter what role you are in, in someone's life means they are always going to be there" she said as I nodded.
"You are a strong girl, you've been one since day one" she said with a faint smile. "You dealt with being alone in Atlanta, dealt with mistakes, finished school and now obtain a degree, making sure everyone had without thinking twice about yourself and you can handle this shit right here" she assured as I nodded and she dabbed under my eyes with a tissue.
"You can handle it because I watched you handle shit all your life and not fold-" she started off as we heard the door open. We looked to the side seeing Lori. Lori just walked in going straight to one of the stalls. Dani and I then looked at each other.
"Like I said I've never seen you fold before so don't do it now. You're a bad ass woman and I need you to act accordingly don't let shit like this phase you because these are games for kids. You do what you do for your sister, for your family, who is there for you and keep it pushing" she expressed. "There's some truth to "when you come up, you can't take everyone with you" you gotta love ''em from a distance to work on yourself" she explained as I nodded.
"So fix yourself and let's do this" she said as I nodded. She dabbed under my eyes touching up my makeup some as Lori came out the stall and Dani looked at her before looking at me and placing lip gloss on my lips as I was about to place my head down but Dani gave me a look. "Put your head up" she said lowly between her teeth as I immediately smiled at her making her smile.
We walked out of the restroom back to our table as we sat down and smiled at each other. "Remember worry about you and what you got going on don't worry about the next trying to figure out why they not dealing with you" Dani explained.
"Now that I got you back on track let's eat" she said as we laughed and looked down at our menus.
We ordered our food continuing to talk now about how we needed to do a girl vacation just her, Laila and I. "We should go to St. Thomas for her spring break or something" Dani suggested as I agreed "do like a vacation house for us and she can bring her a best friend" I added as Dani nodded and pulled out her phone as she started googling different Vacation homes.
I smiled then looked up to look at Dani as I seen Michael a couple of tables away faintly smile at me.
I just looked back at Dani as she looked at me "it's Mike?" She asked as I nodded and she waved him off. "It's about you dont let seeing him make you angry." She started off as I nodded. "Now back to what's important like this trip" she said before showing me another house as I let out a small laugh.
Michael
I was out at a restaurant with Lori as Lori excused herself to go to the bathroom. I was looking down at my menu minding my business as I finally decided to look up to see Y/N walking over to a table with Dani as they shared a smile. I looked at Y/N's attire as her black dress hugged all her curves and her hair was in curls.
She finally sat down and laughed before looking down at her menu. She was talking about something as I kept looking between her and my menu. She was smiling about something Dani was showing her as she finally looked at me. I faintly smiled at her as she looked away from me back at Dani.
Lori then sat back in front of me as I sat up in my seat. "You alright?" I asked as she nodded. "I think I just seen your best friend in the bathroom" she admitted confused. "Y/N?" I questioned. "Yeah that's her name" Lori remembered. "I would've said hi but she looked like she was crying" Lori said as I looked at her confused. "Crying? Crying about what?!" I asked concerned. "Don't get too concerned" Lori joked.
"And from what I heard her friend was just giving her a pep talk and talking to her about when she comes up not everyone can go with her" Lori informed as I nodded. "Her father must've did something" I said as we were served our salads as an appetizer. "She has daddy issues?" Lori asked "yeah they talk but she doesn't really deal with him nor care to deal with him." I said before taking a fork full of salad into my mouth.
"You know having daddy issues can affect relationships when it comes to other men maybe she needs to seek someone before dealing with Keith" Lori explained as I chuckled. "I'm serious maybe that's why she keeps blowing up your phone" she said as I chuckled. "You're so jealous" I stated. "Jealous of what?" She asked in a small laugh. " for one I haven't spoke to Y/N in almost four months nor has she ever called or texted my phone within those months" I started off "and two Lori that's my mother and sister who are blowing me up along with work" I truthfully explained.
"When are you going to have me meet her?" Lori asked " who my mother or my sister?" I questioned confused. "Y/N" she answered. "I thought you just seen her in the bathroom?" I asked. "Micheal I'm serious, she's supposed to be your "Best friend" so why not have us meet?" She asked. "Can you meet my parents first before you meet Y/N?" I jokingly asked. "Besides after you had me unfollow her, She unfollowed me so I think she's probably still upset about that" I admitted.
"So send an "I'm sorry text" or something it isn't that serious. Didn't she want you two to step back because of a disagreement you had anyway?" She asked "yeah something like that" I answered "alright then so that justifies why you unfollowed" she expressed.
"Nah I'm going to just chill and let her do her own thing she's not the type to run her mouth on social media and bring it to the internet" I explained. "Good" Lori said with a small smile before taking a sip of her water.
