I parked my mothers car at her boutique since that's where she was at. She was only here because she wanted to get out of the house which was understandable at times. I walked in as we smiled at each other. "You didn't go in the garage did you?" She questioned as I sighed "no momma I still didn't go into the garage" I admitted.
"How was lunch with Michael?" She asked as I looked around at the clothes on the racks. "It wasn't just with him" I simply answered "oh Kasey was there?" She asked. "Yup and just a whole bunch of other things so I didn't enjoy it" I admitted. "So try to do something with just him" my mother suggested.
"You've seen how all of that played out over the years, every time I had something or just wanted to hang out.He didn't show so why try now" I simply said shrugging my shoulders some. "I know he's an actor and that's his job so that comes first but every time I've invited him out, had something, came out here for him hell even just to talk something always is going on with Kasey." I explained.
"Well baby talk to him, see what the real issue is and if that continues to be an issue just back away and do you. Michael is always going to be your friend and in your corner regardless" my mother said as I just shrugged. "It's whatever" I simply said. "Part of me believe you like Michael that's why you're so upset" my mother said as I just straight faced her making her laugh. "I'm sorry I had to try, me and Donna have been wanting you two to get together since birth" She said making me giggle and shake my head.
"That is never going to happen" I said in a laugh "it's only right if it does, you know all the memories and stories you could give your kids?" She questioned. "not Michael" I said in a small laugh shaking my head. I've never ever even thought of a relationship with Michael the shit would be weird. I feel we joke around too much to be in one and besides that, To everyone he's bae I don't want them kind of problems. I want a regular looking guy so we can live peacefully.
"You want me to cook for dinner?" I asked "no because you need to get out, the whole reason I had you out here for a couple of days was because I want you to rest, take a break and go do things" She explained as I sighed. "Do you have a graduation dress?" She asked as I shook my head. "Then go find an outfit instead of being in my face" she said as I just let out a small laugh.
"Alright ma" I stated making her giggle. I texted Michael and Kasey that we should go out to dinner but this time I was bringing my best friend Danielle so I can actually have a good time and this time around I'm picking the restaurant and will dress accordingly.
I went back to the house resting before beginning to get ready "she said that to you?!" Danielle asked on the other line as I was doing my make up. "Yeah the little bitch had me fucked up" I expressed. "Did you even tell Micheal?!" Danielle asked "no What for? I don't think Michael is going to see it anyway so why say anything?" I questioned. "Why aren't you opening your mouth and saying something to him?" Danielle asked. "Because it is what it is, I'm tired of being a good ass friend but when it comes to me it's an excuse the only reason Im even seeing him today is because Kasey is there" I started off. "Kasey is always The reason" I simply said.
"Are you jealous?" Danielle asked "no I'm hurt. You supposed to be my best friend and you acting like your world revolve around Kasey" I simply said as Danielle sighed "so talk to him that's all you have to do" She said. "No" I simply said. "And why not?" She questioned. "Because say we do talk and it comes down to me or her he's going to pick her that's his girl" I explained. "Yeah but he's always had girls in his life and you were there also, he always stuck by you" She explained. "Yeah but this one I feel will break our friendship I really didn't come back to California just to be stressed" I admitted.
"Well if the bitch get slick tonight you know I'll check her" Danielle said as I giggled "yeah I know" I said. "You sure you don't like him?" She teasingly asked "girl get off my phone with the bull shit" I said as she giggled. "Wow you never thought about what it would be like to be with Michael B Jordan?" She expressed making me laugh. "Exactly, everyone knows Michael B Jordan not Michael" I said.
"You know he's not a bad guy" Danielle said. "Yeah but he's like a brother I literally seen it all with Michael it's not like I don't know who he is or I'm a fan" I said. "You mean to tell me you two went through all of this with each other and it never slipped through your mind that he was attractive and you May have a little feelings?" Danielle questioned. "Well yeah he's attractive but I never thought of getting into a relationship with him or me having any feelings towards him" I explained.
"And you said you never slept with him correct?" Danielle asked as I couldn't help but laugh because Dani swears up and down I slept with Michael ever since high school. Ever since Michael and I went to junior prom she swears we slept with each other that night which isn't true we just went to an arcade after.
"I promise we have never slept with each other" I assured "not even head?" Danielle asked "we literally go through this every time" I said through my laugh beginning to curl my hair.
"I ask because the story may change" She said as I laughed "y'all are the most boring best friends. My little guy friend-"
she started off as I cut her off .
"Be fucking and then you call me about a pregnancy scare" I said making her laugh. "Yes but I'm having fun I'm not tied down to him in any way, it's just simply sex." She explained. "Yeah but Michael is a soft dude I'm not going to do that" I said. "Nah Michael a soft dude but he can handle his own" Danielle stated. "Whatever I'm not doing the whole friends with benefits thing it'll fuck up the relationship and somebody is bound to catch feelings" I admitted then shook my head. "Nah" I said again.
"Hell nah" I added making her laugh "you picking me up for our double date?" She questioned as I giggled "yeah I'll pick you up, are you even getting ready?" I asked. "You the last person to ask that question to anybody" Danielle said as I started laughing. "Anyways I'm doing my hair" she said as I cheesed. "My twin" I said in a baby tone as she giggled.
"Kasey posted a picture" I heard Dani say "and?" I questioned nonchalantly "she's a pretty girl but her attitude sucks" Dani said before I seen her send a picture to my phone. I opened it seeing Kasey posing in the mirror.
"Right" i said before finishing my last curl and spraying my face with some setting spray. I placed some diamond drop earrings in my ears then started to get dressed.
"I'll be there in a minute" I told Danielle before we said our goodbyes. I sprayed some perfume on my body then grabbed my phone and important cards. I looked in the mirror and fixed anything that was out of place
before heading downstairs. "You look good" I heard my sister say from the living room as I smiled "thanks" I thanked "where you going?" She questioned. "Out with Danielle, Kasey and Micheal" I informed. "You look pretty" She complimented again as I smiled "thank you mamas" I thanked with a smile. "Mommy should be back by eight call me if you need me" I said.
"Girl get out and be grown" she said as I playfully rolled my eyes. I then went out to the car driving over to Dani's house. I beeped the horn as she stepped out the house dancing. She finally ran to the car getting in. "You look cute" I said as she smiled "thank you" she thanked. "Okay baddie" she hyped me up as I just giggled turning on "High School" by Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne.
"Wait!" Danielle said as I paused the song "what?" I questioned "this your song for your boo?" She teasingly asked referring to Michael as I just straight faced her. "No stop" I said skipping the song to "Lookin Ass" by Nicki Minaj. I started rapping along to the lyrics as Danielle was hyping up the song. "So ghetto" I said looking over at her as we laughed.
I stopped at the gas station about to get out and get some gas but Danielle stopped me. "SIR!" Danielle yelled trying to get the man's attention. "What are you doing?!" I asked "SIR!" She shouted again as the man finally looked at us. "SHE LOOKS TOO GOOD TO PUMP HER OWN GAS" Danielle shouted as I just covered my face. The guy came up to my side of the car as I just watched him.
"Oh shit that's Keith Powers" Danielle whispered to me "how much you want?" He asked as I was so stuck it was unbelievable. "Huh?" I asked "you want half a tank, quarter of a tank?" He asked "no I actually got it" I said as I got out the car. "No it's fine like your friend said, you look too good to pump your own gas" He expressed before placing his card into the pump.
I opened my gas tank door then twisted off the cover for him as He chuckled "I got it" he assured with a little smile that turned into him licking his bottom lip some. He placed the gas pump nozzle into the car beginning to pump the gas. "You're Y/N, Y/M/N's daughter?" He questioned as I just nodded "yeah" I answered with a small smile as he smiled. "Congratulations on graduating" He said as I looked at him weird. "How'd you know that?" I questioned. "They announced it on the shade room" He started off as I let out a small laugh. "And every other media outlet" he added. "Thank you. I sometimes forget they follow every move I make" I joked as he chuckled.
"Where are you headed out too?" He questioned "I'm going to dinner with my best friends. "SHE'S SINGLE!" We heard Danielle shout as we just shared a laugh. "Just ignore her" I said making him chuckle. He finished pumping my gas as I smiled watching him turn the knob to the gas tank then closed the door. "Thank you" I thanked "you're welcome" He said as I was about to walk off but he called my name. "Y/N" I heard him say as I turned around watching him stand there.
"Can I have your number and take you out sometime?" He questioned as I smiled before we exchanged numbers and said our goodbyes. "Mmm so fine" I said shaking my head some while getting back into the car as Danielle laughed. "What happened to a regular guy?" She questioned. "he smelled so good" I expressed looking over at Danielle. "Made you nut huh?" She asked as we started laughing and I drove to the restaurant.
