It was Christmas and it was noon. I was currently finishing dinner for tonight before everyone came over around one. I was setting up everything as I was still in my night clothes and my hair was done but up. I already washed and had my hygiene routine done I just needed to get dressed and do my make up.

I placed the macaroni into the oven humming along to "Try sleeping with a broken heart" By Alicia Keys. I then checked on the ham as it was finished and I pulled it out of the oven before sitting it on the counter next to the collard greens. The yams, fried chicken, corn bread, and banana pudding was finished. Everyone else was bringing a dish and drinks.

The plan for today was to eat first but I know the impatient people in my family especially the teenagers wasn't going to let that happen but then complain if the food is cold. We were going to open gifts play games and have a talent show. I turned on the lights to the tree that was in the family room where the gifts were all at.

Then went in the entrance of my house turning on the other tree I had for the guests when they walked in.

My doorbell rung as I went and got the door seeing my mother and Will. "Merry Christmas!" I said excitedly. "Merry Christmas why aren't you dressed?" My mother asked coming in as Will hugged me. "Merry Christmas baby girl" he said as I smiled. "I'm just finishing food so I've an go upstairs and get dressed. "I'll finish setting up just go upstairs and get dressed because family are on their way like-" she started off as there was a ring at my doorbell. "Now. go get ready" she said.

"Okay I just put the macaroni in the oven" I said heading towards the kitchen. "Y/N upstairs now!" She said. "Okay" I said taking the wine from Will and placing them on the counter. "Baby girl go upstairs and get ready" Will said "okay I'm going now , I promise" I assured going out the kitchen as I heard Miss. Donna. "Ooo it smells good!" She expressed as I giggled and kissed her cheek along with hugging Mr. Michael.

"Why you still in your night clothes?" He asked in a chuckle. "Because she won't go upstairs and get ready she too busy trying to stress herself out when I said I got it" I heard my mother say as the doorbell ring again and I was about to reach for it but Mr. Michael stopped me.

"Go upstairs and get ready" he said as I just went to go do as told. I freshened up and started doing my make up first. Which was a natural glam look and I added bronze glitter specs to my bronze shadow to give it a more glam look. Throughout me doing my make up and hair I heard the doorbell ring nonstop. I changed the music that was playing throughout the house to Christmas music before continuing to curl my hair.

There was a knock on my room door as I peeked out my bathroom seeing Dani come in. "Merry Christmas!" I said as she smiled and hugged me. "Merry Christmas, why you not downstairs yet I'm ready to see what you got me because I have a clue" she said making me laugh. "Relax I'm almost done" I assured finishing the last curl in my head.

I placed my hair in a half up half down styles before combing out the curls some to make it fluffy.

I then went and started getting dressed as I continued talking to Dani as we were talking about possibly having a gender reveal. "Well Steelo and I already know the gender" she started off. "Wait. You idiots was supposed to have it sealed and given to me and Michael so the God parents can throw the gender reveal for you two" I explained confused as she just shook her head.

"Take that up with sterling his goofy ass knew the envelope was see through and he was being nosey like always and found out what it was. Then proceeded to tell me the gender and we weren't even five minutes away from leaving the doctors office" she explained making me laugh and shake my head.

"So we decided on doing a gender reveal for the God parents" She said as I finished getting dressed and sprayed my body with Some perfume.

"Steelo I swear" I said making Dani laugh. "He's excited and it's his first child so I can't even blame him" I added placing a pair of earrings in my ears.

I started heading downstairs as everyone was talking and I started greeting everyone. I walked around everyone going inside the kitchen seeing Michael in the kitchen with Miss Donna and my mother. "Thank you" I thanked my mother taking back over. "Merry Christmas baby" I heard Michael say as he kissed my cheek. "Merry Christmas, stay out the food" I warned as he laughed.

"I promise" he said looking under the aluminum foil that was covering the fried chicken. "Look get out before I punch you in the throat" I warned making him laugh. "Look at you Throwing down in the kitchen" I heard Steelo say "you two don't come in here snatching food" I said referring to him and Michael. I then took the macaroni and cheese out of the oven setting it up with the rest of the food.

"What? You two decided to dress up like the black panther party with the turtle necks?" Steelo asked drinking from his cup referring to Michael and I's attire. "Shut up" I said making them laugh. I then looked at Michael and realized we matched each other unintentionally.

"LETS PRAY!" I shouted as we all heading in the family room and formed a big circle to pray. "Who's praying?" I asked "the person who's hosting" my aunt said as I just sucked my teeth to myself. "Bow your heads" I said as everyone bowed their heads. "Thank you God for allowing us to not only wake up to see another day but allowing us to all be with family on this special day we choose to celebrate the birth of your son. We come together and thank you for the many blessings you have blessed us each with throughout the year and pray that you continue to bless us with many more this upcoming year . Thank you for everything that you do and continue to do in each and everyone of our lives and we thank you for the food that we're about to receive. May you bless the hands that prepared it in Jesus Name, Amen" I ended.

"Now it's my turn" my uncle said as everyone ignored him going towards the kitchen. "KIDS FIRST!" I shouted as the kids ran into the kitchen. I went into the kitchen fixing plates with my mother and Jamila for the kids to get them out the way and situated at the kids table. "Wait I got to get the video of the cutting of the Mac and cheese" I heard Steelo say with his camera out as as I started cutting a piece seeing all the cheese pull away as I pulled it out of the pan and placed it onto one of the kids plates. "Yessir" he said as I just let out a small laugh.

The adults then started making their plates as I stood next to Michael while he made our plates. "Now you supposed to be making his plate" I heard my uncle joke but he was being serious. "Unc she been throwing down in this kitchen since last night someone got to make her a plate" Michael said making me smile. He was finished making my plate and we walked into the dinning room before he sat my plate down in front of the seat I was about to sit in.

"You want wine, soda, water or juice?" I asked him. "Nah I got it" he assured. "Mike" I started off "babe I got it, what you want?" He asked. "I want some wine and a cup of ice water" I informed. "Aight I got it" he said making me smile as I sat down and looked at my grandmother who was sitting across from me as we shared a smile.

He soon came back placing the wine glass next to my plate along with the plastic cup of water then went back getting his drink. Everyone soon was situated at the table as we were all talking and laughing about different things.

"Now Mike we always loved you like family since you were a kid but you with baby girl now" my uncle started off. "Don't start" I said to my uncle as he chuckled. "What's your intentions with my niece what's the end goal because if you play with her you playing with me" he said as I just giggled. "Why you putting him on the spot like that?! it's Michael" my aunt said.

"No it's okay" Michael said with a chuckle as he placed his wine glass down. Knowing my family, Michael better keep it at a minimum with his answers because my family have been loving The Whole relationship I have with Michael. They been saying this since we were kids and now it's finally happening, you know how black people get when they were right all along.

"My intentions are still the same it was when we were just friends and that is to make her happy and to support her ." He started off as I placed some macaroni and cheese into my mouth while I smiled to myself. "And the end goal is to get married and create a family with her" he honestly said now in front of both me and his family. I just looked up at my grandmother as we shared a smile. "Well Michael you know you've always had my respect as a man" my grandfather said as Will agreed also. "Okay" I interrupted hearing them chuckle. "We were going to have to have this conversation sometime" my uncle said as I shook my head and let out a small laugh before placing my wine glass back to my lips as they continued to talk.

We were soon done with dinner and started doing gifts. I handed Everyone their gifts from me excitedly as I smiled watching them express their love for the gifts I got them.

"Babe" I heard Michael say next to me as he unwrapped his Jordan one retro high Dior. "Are you serious?" He asked as I nodded. "Merry Christmas boo" I said as we hugged each other. "Let me get this straight you got me a pair of 4's but got Michael B Jordan a pair of Dior Jordan ones?" Isaiah asked making us laugh. "I'm starting to think you have a problem not the fact I have a boyfriend but because it's Michael B Jordan" I said to Isaiah. "He know why we got issues" Isaiah said pointing to Michael. "Zay sit down" my aunt said as he sat down.

Michael then opened up another gift from me which was a matching Dior sweater along with a diamond ring. I then got up and handed him his other gift. "Another one?" He asked in a chuckle. "Yeah" I said with a big smile. "I know you probably forgot about this whole thing but I got it made for you." I said as he unwrapped it and it was a cd case with the songs I felt about him downloaded on it.

I wrote all the songs on the top of the CD as he chuckled. "You burned me a CD?" He asked as I nodded and he smiled reading the track list I had.

"It's how I felt about you from the beginning til now" I started off as he just read the songs. "I know it's corny but it's something to physically have" I said as he smiled at me. "Thank you" he thanked before we hugged each other. "I guess Great minds think alike" he started off before getting up and going towards the tree.

I then notice Donovan was sitting on the floor in front of me crying as I just rubbed his back.  "Thank you" he thanked before showing everyone his three pair of sneakers and phone he got from me. He had all A's so I had to show out. Michael then came up to me handing me a big square item that was wrapped as It was light and thin. I just looked at him as he chuckled. "Open it" he encouraged before I started opening it.

I opened it seeing it was a vinyl and on the vinyl cover was a picture of Michael and I when we were teenagers . I just smiled reading the title of it. "A Love like ours". I then flipped it to the back seeing a picture of us kissing from my recent birthday dinner as the track record was listed.

I just smiled and stood up to hug him as he hugged me back before whispering in my ear. "It's about How I felt from the very beginning til now" he said as I felt a tear roll down my cheek. "I love you" he said as we were still in our hug. "I love you too" i expressed back as he we finally pulled apart and smiled. "What'd you get?" My grandmother asked as I showed her the vinyl Michael made for me.

As I was showing off my vinyl to my mother, my grandmother and Michael's mother I started hearing whining. I scrunched my brows and turned around seeing Michael holding a puppy in his arms.

"Merry Christmas" he said as my face softened "it's mine?" I asked in a whine as he chuckled and nodded. "Oh my gosh. Hi baby" I said to it as he past it to me and I held it. "It's a girl and she's up to date on all her shots for her age. She was also treated for heart worms, fleas and ticks" he informed as I poked my bottom lip out as she laid her head on my chest and I pet her head softly.

"I'm about to cry" I admitted feeling myself tear up "here She go" Steelo started off as I wiped my falling tears. "Thank you Michael" I thanked as we hugged each other and he kissed my head.

It was like one in the morning as everyone was still over either dancing and drinking or playing spades. I came from outside from taking the dog to the bathroom or at least seeing if she'd go. I then placed her in her bed that was in her crate so no one would step on her or bother her. I locked it then heard "Give Love on Christmas Day" by Johnny Gill start to play throughout the house as I went into the kitchen placing some of the food up and beginning to clean the kitchen some.

Michael then came into the kitchen as I just smiled over at him and continued to do what I was doing. I felt him grab my hand beginning to sway towards me and sing along to the song as I laughed and took my hand away. "Let me clean up because it's already one in the morning" I said as he grabbed my hand continuing to sing

"No greater gift is there than love" I sung to him as he smiled and I wrapped my arms around his neck. He then spun me around as I smiled harder and wrapped my arms back around his neck. "How did you get her?" I asked referring to dog I have yet to name yet. "The same person you were going to go through to find one, she gave me a number to a person who she bought hers from" I informed. "Not you in the stalli's DM's I joked making him chuckle. "The first and the last time. I just wanted to make our first Christmas together special" he said as I smiled. "You did just that and I really appreciate it and I thank you" I honestly said making him smile. "I should be thanking you" he started off.

"What did I do?" I asked confused as he chuckled. "Y/N this is the happiest I've been in years and it's all due to you" he admitted making me smile. "I love you so much" he said causing me to smile as we shared a kiss.
