“President, are you still accepting disciples?”

Donna Gregory mustered up the courage to ask, leading to a stir amongst the surrounding members, some of whom seemed eager to try their luck.

As someone at the initial stage of a Flare IV Alchemist, just one step away from becoming a Senior Pharmacist, he had quite a good impression of the gentle silver-haired girl.

“I have no plans to take on any disciples before Rossetti graduates,” David Jones gently refused.

Rossetti’s talent was too extraordinary. He took on a disciple to deepen the relationship with her, not truly intending to train her into an outstanding Pharmacist.

Seeing Donna Gregory’s unsuccessful attempt to become a disciple, Sean Wooley felt a complex sense of relief.

Had the president really agreed to Donna’s request, he would have certainly bowed his head in submission, chancing his future prospects.

“If we are old friends, why didn’t you say a word before you left? I didn’t even know you had taken another disciple.”

Feeling the shift in David Jones’s emotions, Rossetti slowly lifted her head, for the first time acknowledging Margaret Yule with a serious look.

Her instincts told her that this beautiful yet seemingly weak woman harbored ulterior motives, as if hiding the same intentions as herself.

“That was an accident; I didn’t want it either,” David Jones stretched lazily, picked up the jade box in front of him, and decided to change the subject.

“I’ll take these three Heavenly Dragon Leaves. What do you think would be a suitable resource to reward Jade Bailey and Sean Wooley with?”

“Without your reputation as a deterrent, they wouldn’t even be able to enter the gates of Dragon Bamboo Island, let alone collect various beast taming resources on the island,” Margaret Yule replied.

Then, she shifted the tone of the conversation.

“Picking Heavenly Dragon Leaves is not difficult. What is challenging is locating them. There’s no need for too generous a reward. Just give each of them one Level V mesona.”

“Of course, if you have the time, guiding them for a day or two in alchemy would yield even better results,”

“Then I’ll just reward them with elixirs. I’m on the verge of a breakthrough recently and don’t have time to guide members in alchemy,” David Jones decided.

Upon hearing this, Margaret Yule couldn’t help but tease, “It seems the school rumors are true. To prepare for the national competition and restore the glory of Rosewood College as the number one in the Five Greats, senior David skipped all eight final exams, scoring zero on each and enraging Director Boris to the point of smashing a table in public.”

“Huh?” David Jones glanced at her as if looking at a fool.

“Alright, no more joking, I haven’t seen you in months. Let me guess, your Arcane Star must be about to break through to Class V now?”

From the moment they met, Margaret Yule observed David’s overwhelmingly strong Psychic Power and vitality and, half-serious, half-jokingly put forth her guess to confirm her speculation.

“I’ve already broken through to Class V Arcane Star. In two more days, you should be addressing me as a King-class powerhouse,” said David Jones with an odd expression.

“King-class powerhouse???”

Margaret Yule couldn’t help but widen her eyes.

Although she started the joke, using the King rank to fool someone seemed a bit insulting to one’s intelligence.

Did he really think she didn’t know that David’s Arcane Star was only at Class IV when the Beast Refining Tower opened? How much time had passed since then? Not even half a year!

“Alright, alright, a twenty-year-old King-class powerhouse.”

“The national competition will start after the college entrance exams. Jackson Grant wants to join your team. What do you think?”

The victorious ascend, the weak fall. The champion of the individual contest earns the title of Crown Champion, renowned across the world, becoming the undisputed number one Trainer (Youth), and also the goal David Jones had been dreaming of since becoming a Trainer.

It could be said that dark horses emerge in the Crown Competition.

Each year has its share of unknown but powerful contenders making a name for themselves in the National Crown Competition, drawing the attention and recruitment of top-tier forces.

As for the full name of the team contest, it is the National College Teamwork Competition, only open to college students.
