Ian POV
I wake up with a banging headache. All I can remember from yesterday after coming back home is arguing with my parents and then I went somewhere to drink like there is no tomorrow.
I groan as I put my face in Hannah curly hair. Curly hair? Hannah doesn't have curly hair. I slowly open my eyes and see Quiet in my arms asleep.
I look at her sleeping face and smile, "How did I end up here?" I ask myself, she starts moving and seconds later she slowly opens her eyes. "Good morning Quiet." She looks up at me and smiles, "Morning Ian, there's some medicine and some water over there for your hangover."
I turn around and see the pills and water. I take the pills and turn back around to look at Quiet. "I'm sorry if I was a bother last night."
She sits up and shrugs her shoulders, "You really won't a bother, you were just very eventful." I stand up and laugh, "Is my toothbrush still here from the last time I slept over?" She nods her head and goes to her dresser.
She pulls out some clothes and throws them to me, "You can take a shower and put these clothes on and here are some fresh boxer shorts." I arch my eyebrow at her, "Why do you have a pack of boxers?" She rolls her eyes, "I like to sleep in them from time to time."
I start laughing and she throws a shoe at me, "Just get in the shower." I close the door quickly and she laughs. I brush my teeth and get in the shower.
Ten minutes later I get out the shower and look at myself in the mirror. I wipe the mirror from the steam, "I look like I've been through hell and back." I say to myself.
My eyes widen as I just realize something, "Quiet!! Today is Monday!!" I yell out to her as I open the door, she looks at me and shrugs her shoulders. "Yeah, what about it?" I look at her as if she is crazy, "We have school to go to!"
She lets out a soft sigh, "I'm skipping today. You can go on ahead." I look at her, "Why? What's wrong? Is someone messing with you?" She shakes her head quickly, "No, I just feel like skipping." I look at her and sigh, "It looks like I'm skipping with you."
Her eyes widen, "What about Hannah? She's going to freak if she knows you're with me!" I shrug my shoulders and flop onto her bed, "All she's going to do is yell at me and all I have to do is kiss her to make her shut up." She rolls her eyes and walks to the bathroom, "You are something else, Ian."
I hear the shower running and I close my eyes, I can't believe I lashed out on my parents. I usually hold everything in, but this time was different for some reason.
"Ian! Ian! Your phone is ringing! It's your mom!" I sit up quickly and see Quiet in a big T-shirt. "Don't answer it!!" My yelling scares her and she drops my phone.
My phone stops ringing and she quickly bends down to pick it up. "I didn't pick it up, I swear." I walk up to her and bend down in front of her, "I know you didn't, I'm sorry for yelling."
I touch her hair and smile, "Why didn't you dry your hair off? You look like a wet shaggy dog." I stand up and walk pass her to get the towel that is on a rack. I put it on her head and start drying her hair off, "Your phone had started ringing when I was about to dry my hair off."
She looks at me as I dry her hair off. "Let's make some hot chocolate and watch a movie." She nods her head and smile, "I have to finish drying my hair off." She puts her hands on mine and I move my hands so she can do it herself.
"I'll go make the hot chocolate and you can choose the movie." She nods her head as I head down to her kitchen.
I see a note hanging on the refrigerator.
I tried waking you up, but your door was lock and you wouldn't wake up by me just calling you. Call me when you see this note.
Love Mom.
I start making the hot chocolate. It takes me ten minutes to finish up. I walk upstairs with two mugs in my hand and the note in my mouth.
I walk in and see Quiet sitting on her knees on the bed. "Your mom left a note." Without even blinking she reaches for the hot chocolate, "Throw it away." I shake my head, "No I will not throw it away, she said to call her when you see this note."
She looks at me and then back at the tv, "Yeah I know, I'm not calling her so leave it at that." I set my mug on her nightstand and stand in front of her, "Quiet please ju-."
"If you don't want me in your business stay out of mine!!" I stare at her shock and she covers her mouth after her outburst. "Ian, I'm so sorry." I walk away from her and throw the note away.
I sit down on the bed and look at the tv, "What are we watching?" She looks at me with a glint in her eyes, "Ian, I didn't mean to yell at you." I look at her and sigh, "Please just play the movie."
She plays the movie and goes to sit at the back of the bed and I stay at the foot of the bed.
She is right, if I don't want to tell her anything then she doesn't have to tell me things.
"Ian, can you please talk to me?" I let out a long sigh, "One day I will tell you more about me, but not today. So can you please just wait and be patient for me?" I hear moving behind me, she crawls up beside me and looks at me.
"I'm sorry for yelling and I will wait. I won't push for you to tell me anything else." She goes back to her spot and a small smile crawl onto my lips.
Austin POV
"Austin would you please leave me alone?" I shake my head at Matthew as we walk down the halls, "No, you lost the bet. Meaning you have to sit at my table."
He turns around and glares at me, "Why out of all things, you want me to sit at your table? You couldn't just ask for a kiss?" He turns red and looks away from me. I bend down and smirk, "I can get a kiss from you even without asking, so there will be no need." I whisper in his ear, he pushes me away and I laugh.
"If you don't sit at my table during lunch, I will carry you to my table." His eyes widen while his face is still red as a tomato, "You wouldn't?"
I smirk at him and walk off, "Try me." I hear him groan as he steps foot in his classroom. I walk around the corner and see Lily and Shane arguing and Mason laughing. I walk up to them, "Why are they arguing this time?"
Mason clears his throat, "Shane said something embarrassing about Lily in front of a boy she was trying to talk to." I shake my head and look at the in-denial couple in front of me.
"Why the hell would you even say that?!" Lily pushes Shane against the wall, "Because I didn't like the way he was looking at you. He was looking at you like you were some type of snack!!" Lily scoff and step back, "I am a snack!! Who wouldn't look at this?!" She points at her body and does a little spin.
Shane rolls his eyes, "He was also ugly." Lily glares at him, "That is the dumbest reason. He was not ugly." Shane lets out a long sigh and all of a sudden he picks Lily up and runs off somewhere. "Put me down you asshole!! I swear I'm going to kill you the minute we stop!!"
Me and Mason start laughing, "They need to hurry up and get together. It's pretty obvious that they get upset if one of them start talking to other people." I nod my head agreeing with him.
"Matthew is coming to the table today." Mason's eyes widen and he smiles, "He's finally coming to the table. That's good." I nod my head as we start walking down the halls to our class, "Mason you know we are like ten minutes late to class?"
He nods his head and laughs, "Yeah I know, we have a substitute today."
Lunch
We are all sitting at the table. I wait five minutes for Matthew to show up, but he doesn't. I stand up, "I'll be right back, I'm going to get Matthew."
I walk over to Matthew table and he stands up quickly, "Don't even think about carrying me. I can walk over there by myself." I laugh as he walks pass me, "Why did you not come earlier?" He looks at me and then straight ahead, "I thought you would forget about me sitting with you."
I roll my eyes as we sit down, "Yeah that was not going to happen." Everybody looks at Matthew and smile, "It's nice that you're finally sitting here." Matthew looks at Mason with shock fill eyes.
"What took you so long to sit over here with us?" He looks at Shane and shrugs his shoulders, "He probably didn't want to be anywhere near you." Shane looks at Lily, "Are you serious? You're really doing that right now?"
Lily gives him a tight smile and looks at Matthew, "I'm glad you're finally sitting here." Matthew nods his head.
"I forgot to ask, but where is Hazel." Mason and Lily suddenly grow quiet. Shane looks at them both and then at me, "She said she was skipping today."
I look at Mason and Lily once again. What happened to them? "Ian also skipped today. He's probably with Hannah, I haven't seen her all day."
I shrug my shoulders and wrap my arms around Matthew, I whisper in his ear, "Can I get a kiss?"
He turns red and pushes me away, "No!! Get off of me!!" We all start laughing and Matthew puts his face in his hands.
"You're going to have to get used to this table, it's never a quiet moment between us."
