Hazel POV
"Cupcake lets go to Ian next fight." I look at Shane as if he is crazy and he just smiles at me.
I shake my head no quickly, "I don't want to go." Shane starts to whine, "You're supposed to show me around. I'm going to tell my uncle you're not helping me."
"But you said we were going to the movies." He stops whining and then tilts his head to the side, "Oh, I did say that. Never mind. Ian when is your other fight?"
Mason and Lily start laughing and Shane looks at Ian, "It's the Friday after this one if I win." Shane looks back at me, "Can we go to that one?"
I pull my hood further down my face, "Can I at least think about it?" His smile grew even bigger, "That's good enough." I let out a sigh of relief.
Mason looks at me, "Do you play any sports?" I shake my head no, "I wanted to do cheerleading, but I already knew I wasn't going to make it." Lily starts clapping, "Oh My God! You can cheer on the team with me! I'm the captain and I need another cheer member!"
My eyes widen in shock, "I don't think that is a good idea. I don't smile at all and cheerleaders smile." Before she could say anything Shane says something, "Don't worry about that, I can make her smile for you. Make her little tryout sometime next week."
I look at Shane he winks at me, "I will try to get her to smile until then." Lily claps her hands some more and squeals, "I don't even have a vice-captain. If I think you're good enough, I might just make you vice-captain." My eyes widen and I look at Mason for help.
He starts laughing, "Lily calm down, you're making her even more nervous." Lily looks at me and gives me a small smile, "Sorry."
The bell soon rings and we all head to our classes. Sadly Shane doesn't have a class with me this time, but he does have it with Mason and Lily.
"Quiet, come here." I turn around and see Ian walking up to me, "Why did you sit with me all of a sudden? I told you to stay away from me. You might not believe me, but your girlfriend is making my life hell."
He grabs my arm and pulls me into a closet. My eyes widen and fear crawl through my body, "Please don't do this to me. I didn't do nothing wrong." He turns on the light and his eyes widen.
He wipes my tears away and puts his hands on my shoulders, "I'm not going to hurt you. I don't want you crying around me." I slowly nod my head and he stands up straight.
He slowly lifts my hoodie and shirt up, "What are you going to do about these bruises on your stomach?" My eyes widen and I slide to the floor, "I forgot all about them. That was my first time having someone conversant with me and asking me to join them."
He bends down in front of me and sighs, "I have some type of cream in my bag, I'll let you have it. Rub it on your bruises every day and night and they will soon fade." I slowly nod my head and he helps me up, "Now we're late for class. Want to skip?" He says as we walk out of the closet.
I look at him with wide eyes, "No I will not ski-."
"Cupcake!" I turn around to the nickname and see Mason, Lily, and Shane walking towards us.
Shane wraps his arms around my shoulder, "Did you tell Ian we were going to skip?" Lily looks at Shane and shakes her head no, "We were just going to get him out of class." Shane laughs and I hug myself.
"Shane told us that you have been getting bully by Ian girlfriend." My eyes widen and I look up at Mason with shock, "Shane, I told you not to tell anybody. Ian doesn't even believe it's his girlfriend bullying me."
Lily looks at Ian and then back at me, "It's okay, we won't let it happen again. You have us three as your friends now."
"Are you really my friends now?"
Ian POV
They all nod their heads to Quiet question. "I'm your friend too." Quiet looks at me and shake her head, "I'm scared that your girlfriend will do something to me."
I scrunch my face up, "You know what?! Since you keep saying she is the one bullying you, I will confront her today after school." I grab Quiet hand and smirk at her, "And you will be coming along with me."
Shane and Lily start jumping up and down, "We wanna come too! We're coming with you guys also!" Mason shakes his head and laughs, "I'm not going to be left out, so I'm coming along too."
She pulls her hand out of my hand and moves closer to Shane, "The worse that could happen to me is her putting me in a hospital or killing me."
Shane hits her forehead, "Don't say that." He hugs her and he looks at us, "Do you know a place we can go and chill?"
We all shrug our shoulders, "We can just skip the rest of the day and come back for our practices. Shane, have you talked to the football coach?" Shane looks at me and nods his head, "Yeah, I have. Cupcake, you can come and watch Lily cheer and see if you'll like it or not."
She looks at Shane and nods her head, "I'll just go with Hazel and sit with her. I rather watch girls over boys." We all laugh at Mason and head to the student parking lot.
"Cupcake you're riding with me. Lily, you're also riding with me." Quiet and Lily look at Shane and he shrugs his shoulders, "I want the girls in my car, not boys." They roll their eyes and me and Mason head to my car.
"Where're we going?" Lily asks while getting in the back seat. I shrug my shoulders, "How about we go for ice cream?"
"Isn't it a little bit too cold for ice cream?" I look at Mason, "Do you have anything else in mind?" He shakes his head no, "Looks like it's ice cream then."
We drive out of the school parking lot and drove to the closest ice cream shop.
When we arrive at the ice cream shop Quiet was asking Shane to buy her a cupcake. "Can you buy me a mini cupcake?" Shane looks at her, "You just had one for lunch. You want another one?"
She nods her head and he sighs, "Okay I will, but I get to choose our movie this weekend." She nods her head again and we walk in the shop.
We order our ice cream and go to go sit at a table. "How come you hide your name from people?"
Quiet looks at Mason and then at her cupcake, "I felt like the bullying would get worse if I were to tell everybody my name."
"Well, you don't have to worry about that bullying anymore. You have me, Ian, Shane, and Lily by your side. So stop hiding your face and name." She looks at Mason with wide eyes and she then puts her face in Shane's chest.
Shane starts laughing, "Don't cry Cupcake." She holds her hand out and he hands her a napkin. She wipes her face and then looks back at us. "I didn't cry." Mason rolls his eyes and laughs, "We know you didn't."
Lily hugs her and squeals, "We finally have a girl in our group! Ah!"
I look at Quiet, even through all of this she doesn't even smile. I let out a long sigh.
"What are you going to do about Megan?" Lily asks me and everybody else looks at me, I shrug my shoulders, "I don't know, I might just get straight to the point." Quiet looks away from me and plays in her ice cream.
I let out a soft laugh, we will just have to wait and see what will happen next.
Back at school
"Don't do nothing yet, we have to get something out of our fourth period class." Lily says as her, Mason, and Shane runs off somewhere.
Me and Quiet sit on a bench. "Quiet, is it really true that Megan has been bullying you?" She looks at me, "You were so desperate to know my name and now you don't even call me by it."
I shrug my shoulders and laugh, "But yeah it's true. She has been bullying me since freshmen year and I don't know why." I clench my fist, "Why didn't you tell anybody?"
She looks straight ahead, "I did, she got in trouble. But she kept doing it over and over, so I decided to just deal with it." I let out a long sigh, "Say you promise."
"Promise? What am I promising?" I groan loudly, "Just say you promise." She looks at me and sighs, "I promise."
"You promise that the next time someone messes with you, you will come and find me." I look at her and she looks straight ahead, "I promise that the next time someone messes with me, I will come and find you."
I show her a small smile, "Now I don't have to worry as much."
