Maheshwar had left the palace the night after the coronation ceremony much to Aditya's dismay. He had wanted Maheshwar to stay for a few more days but Maheshwar reminded him that he was here for more than two weeks and now his family would be waiting for him. Maheshwar assured Aditya that he would write letters to him and they could always be in touch that way. Maheshwar was lucky that Aditya found his reasons true and let him go, but Maheshwar had his own reason that made him leave the palace as soon as possible. Aditya had expressed to him how much he missed 'her' and even showed him the portrait he had made from his imagination of the first glance he had seen her. Maheshwar now realized that the situation would only worsen if he stayed there and he left the palace the first chance he got. He couldn't bear Aditya sitting with him and talking on and on about the woman who left such an impact on him. Maheshwar knew that it was time for Aditya to get married and that his dad had also started looking for suitable brides for him. As a king, Aditya was expected to take a wife, a queen who would help him in making wise decisions. Maheshwar felt that it was better if he left the place rather than giving into Aditya's whims and staying back in the Krishnapura palace.
Three months had passed since Aditya's coronation and Aditya had proved to be an able and just ruler like his father. He was compassionate, ruthless, wise, strong and fearless. He had successfully revised the tax policies making sure everyone benefited from the contribution they made to the kingdom. He improved the agricultural practices and enhanced the trade policies making the state prosper and flourish like never before. Aditya had initiated the fortification of his kingdom by buffing a 20 ft high wall that was built with rocks that were so strong that even the strength of 50 elephants was not enough to take it down. The walls were plastered and were coated with a layer of moss that kept the walls slippery to prevent any human or animal from scaling the walls.
During his coronation, Aditya and Maheshwar had discussed a lot on politics, administration, how to be a better king and how to earn the trust of his subjects. Aditya was pleasantly shocked to hear such wise words from a man who has never been a king or even a royal. Maheshwar just waved him off saying he had read books like the Arthashastra, Chanakya Neeti, Mahabharata, Ramayana, Vishnu Smriti which gave him so much insight on rulers and rule.
His father was so proud of him and offered his inputs wherever he could. Aditya also followed Maheshwar's advice religiously in disguising himself and taking tours in his kingdom to know what the people suffered from and how he could improve better. Aditya's father knew the influence of the boy on Aditya and was happy for his son to have such a good friend and confidante.
Little did he know that their lives were going to take a drastic turn.
