Suman Mehrotra sat cross-legged on the terrace, the warm evening breeze gently rustling her hair.

She had spread out a colorful array of papers, markers, and pencils around her, meticulously working on cue cards and drawings for her students.

Each card was filled with vibrant illustrations and encouraging words, a testament to her dedication and love for teaching.

The terrace was her sanctuary, a place where she could unwind and let her creativity flow.

Her mind drifted as she worked, thinking about her students and the joy they brought into her life.

She smiled, recalling their eager faces and endless questions.

Suman's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of footsteps behind her.

She turned to see her older brother, Abhijeet, approaching with a mischievous grin on his face.

"What are you up to, little sis?" he asked, leaning over to inspect her work.

"Just making some cue cards for my students," Suman replied, trying to ignore the playful glint in his eye.

Abhijeet picked up one of the cards, examining it closely. "You know, you spend way too much time on these things. Why don't you join the family business and make some real money?"

Suman rolled her eyes. "We've had this conversation a million times, Bhaiya. I love teaching. It's what makes me happy."

Abhijeet sighed dramatically. "Fine, fine. But don't come crying to me when you're broke and need a loan."

Suman swatted at him with a marker, laughing. "As if I'd ever ask you for money!"

Their playful banter was interrupted by the sound of their father's voice calling from downstairs. "Abhijeet! Suman! Dinner's ready!"

Abhijeet stood up, offering a hand to help Suman to her feet. "Come on, let's go before Papa sends out a search party."

As they made their way downstairs, Suman felt a pang of gratitude for her family.

Despite their differences and occasional squabbles, they were always there for each other.

Her father's unwavering support, her mother's strict yet loving demeanor, and her brother's constant teasing all formed the foundation of her world.

At the dinner table, Satyajeet Mehrotra looked up from his plate, his eyes twinkling with amusement. "What were you two arguing about this time?"

"Bhaiya thinks I should join the family business," Suman said, taking her seat.

Satyajeet chuckled, giving Abhijeet a mock stern look. "Leave your sister alone, Abhijeet. She's doing what she loves, and that's all that matters."

Abhijeet raised his hands in surrender. "Alright, alright. I was just teasing."

Their mother, Shobha, placed a dish on the table, her stern expression softening as she looked at Suman. "How are the preparations for your class going?"

"Great, Mumma. I'm almost done with the cue cards," Suman replied, smiling.

As the family settled into their meal, Suman's thoughts wandered to Ayush.

She remembered the day he had confessed his feelings for her, how surprised she had been, and how their relationship had blossomed since then.

Despite the disapproval from Ayush's mother and sister, they had persevered, their love growing stronger with each passing day.

Later that night, Suman found herself back on the terrace, gazing at the stars.

She felt a deep sense of contentment, knowing she was surrounded by people who loved and supported her.

She picked up her markers and continued working on the cue cards, her heart full of hope and determination for the future.

Ayush Agrawal sat at his desk, deep in concentration as he reviewed the quarterly financial reports.

His office was a sanctuary of order amidst the chaotic world of business.

The soft hum of the air conditioner and the distant buzz of office chatter provided a backdrop to his thoughts.

Suddenly, the door to his cabin burst open, and his personal assistant, Rahul, rushed in, his face pale and eyes wide with panic.

"Sir, there's an emergency," Rahul stammered.

Ayush frowned, looking up from his papers. "What happened, Rahul?"

Rahul took a deep breath. "Sir, there's a chaos outside. Tina Rao and her father, Bhadresh Rao, are here."

Ayush sighed in irritation, rubbing his temples.

He was fed up with them.

The regret of seeking help from Bhadresh Rao weighed heavily on him.

He remembered the desperate days two years ago when his business was on the verge of collapsing.

His father had suggested taking help from Bhadresh, a notorious loan shark, as a last resort.

Initially, Ayush had refused.

The idea of dealing with a man like Bhadresh Rao, known for his ruthless and illegal activities, was repulsive.

However, with his parents' insistence, he had reluctantly agreed.

The day he had walked into Bhadresh's office was etched in his memory.

Tina, Bhadresh's daughter, had been there too, and from that moment, she had become infatuated with him.

When Ayush sought Bhadresh's help, Bhadresh had initially declined.

But seeing his daughter's interest in Ayush, he had changed his mind.

Since then, Ayush's business had revived, but the price had been steep.

Tina's obsessive attention and Bhadresh's overbearing presence had become a constant source of irritation.

Things had escalated when Bhadresh proposed a marriage alliance between Tina and Ayush.

Ayush had immediately refused, citing his love for Suman.

But Bhadresh was persistent.

He had come to Ayush's house, putting forward the proposal in person.

Ayush's father was caught in a dilemma, but to Ayush's shock and dismay, his mother and sister had instantly agreed to the alliance, clearly showing their disapproval of Suman.

"Send them in," Ayush said, his voice heavy with resignation.

A moment later, Bhadresh Rao and Tina entered the cabin.

Bhadresh, a man in his late sixties with a commanding presence, strode in confidently.

Tina followed, her eyes fixed on Ayush with a disturbing intensity.

"Ayush, my boy," Bhadresh began, his voice oily and insincere, "we need to talk."

Ayush stood up, his face a mask of calm despite the turmoil inside. "Mr. Rao, Tina, what can I do for you?"

Tina stepped forward, trying to place a hand on Ayush's arm, but he subtly moved away. "Ayush, we need to discuss our future," she said, her voice sweet but demanding.

"There is no future, Tina," Ayush said firmly. "I've told you before, I'm in love with someone else."

Bhadresh's expression darkened. "You should reconsider, Ayush. This alliance would be beneficial for both our families."

Ayush clenched his fists, struggling to keep his composure. "Mr. Rao, I appreciate your help with my business, but my personal life is not up for negotiation."

Tina's eyes flashed with anger. "You don't understand, Ayush. We belong together. I'll make you happy, I promise."

Ayush shook his head, his resolve unshaken. "I'm sorry, Tina. My heart belongs to someone else."

Bhadresh stepped closer, his voice dropping to a menacing whisper. "Think carefully, Ayush. You don't want to make an enemy out of me."

Ayush met Bhadresh's gaze without flinching. "I've made my decision. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do."

The tension in the room was palpable as Bhadresh and Tina exchanged a look.

Finally, Bhadresh turned on his heel and left the cabin, Tina following reluctantly.

Ayush sank back into his chair, the weight of the confrontation settling over him.

He knew this wasn't the end, but he was determined to stand by his decision, no matter the consequences.

His thoughts drifted to Suman, her smile, her warmth, and the love they shared.

She was worth fighting for, and he would do whatever it took to protect their future.

Suman and Namita sat in their favorite corner of the bustling café, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and sweet pastries filling the air.

Namita, dressed in her corporate attire, looked relaxed for the first time that week, savoring her latte.

Suman, in contrast, was eagerly indulging in her chocolate milkshake and a plate of chocolate brownies.

Suman and Namita share a unique and complementary friendship, built on both their differences and similarities.

Suman is sensitive, empathetic, and often attuned to the emotions and needs of others. Namita, on the other hand, is fierce and bold.

Suman is soft-hearted, showing kindness and compassion to those around her. Namita is an extrovert, thriving in social settings and drawing energy from interactions with others.

Despite her sensitivity, Suman possesses a remarkable degree of emotional and mental strength. Namita may be outwardly fierce and extroverted, but she has a vulnerable side.

"Seriously, Sumi, how do you manage to stay so fit with that sweet tooth of yours?" Namita teased, watching Suman relish her brownies.

Suman grinned, her eyes twinkling. "I believe in the magic of balance, Namu. Besides, life is too short not to enjoy sweets!"

Namita laughed and, unable to resist, took a brownie from Suman's plate.

Suman scrunched her nose in mock irritation. "If you want brownies, order some for yourself! Why are you stealing mine?"

Namita put on a dramatic face, clutching her heart. "I'm your best friend, Sumi, and yet you can't share your brownies with me? I'm hurt."

Suman rolled her eyes, a smile tugging at her lips. "Fine, fine. Take it. No need to overact."

Namita smiled sheepishly and popped the brownie into her mouth.

As she savored the sweetness, she turned serious. "Are you sure you want to get married to that sanskari Ayush?"

Suman looked up, surprised. "And why are you asking this question all of a sudden?"

"Because I know his old-fashioned mother doesn't like you, and his sister, that wannabe jealous bitch, is even worse. I just hate them," Namita said bluntly.

Suman sighed. "I know they don't like me, but I just want to be with Ayush. Nothing else matters."

Namita's expression softened. "Sumi, whenever his mother or sister insults you or says something, he doesn't take a stand for you. How will you manage living there?"

Suman was thoughtful, considering Namita's words.

She knew her friend was right, but the love she had for Ayush overshadowed all the problems.

Next week was their engagement, and she wanted to focus on their future together.

Namita watched Suman's face, knowing her friend was deeply in love.

She also knew Ayush loved Suman, but his lack of courage to stand up to his family was troubling.

Ayush's mother's orthodox nature and his sister's jealousy were major concerns, and Namita worried about Suman's future happiness.

But seeing Suman's sparkling smile, Namita shrugged off her worries. "Let's talk about something more exciting. What are you wearing to the engagement?"

Suman's face lit up. "I found the perfect dress! It's a beautiful lehenga in pastel shades. And you?"

Namita grinned. "I haven't decided yet, but it has to be something fabulous. We have to outshine everyone!"

The two friends continued chatting about the engagement, their excitement and laughter filling the café.

Despite the underlying worries, their bond and shared joy in planning the event brought a sense of normalcy and happiness.
