Amay ~ Her Twist of Fate [Book #1 in Her Series] ✓Words: 12912

Suman sat in her room, a soft smile playing on her lips as she thought about Ayush.

They were engaged now, and in just a few days, they would be married.

The excitement bubbled inside her, a mix of nerves and pure happiness.

Today, her family had decided to call their family priest to finalize the wedding date.

Her father, Satyajeet, had also invited Ayush's family so that they could all know the date together.

The doorbell rang, and Suman's heart skipped a beat.

She heard the familiar voices of Ayush, Aarushi, and Bhupendra in the living room.

Her mother, Shobha, was welcoming them, and she could hear the polite exchange of greetings.

There was a moment of hesitation when Shobha asked, "Meenaji nahi aayi?"

Bhupendra replied that she was busy with something, which felt odd to both Satyajeet and Shobha.

But seeing the happiness in Suman's eyes, they controlled their thoughts.

They only wanted their daughter's happiness.

The priest arrived shortly after, and everyone gathered in the living room.

Suman's heart fluttered with anticipation as she saw Ayush.

He looked at her with warmth and reassurance, making her feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

The priest sat down and asked for their kundali's.

Shobha handed over Suman's kundali to the priest and then turned to Bhupendra, asking for Ayush's.

"Ji bhaisahab, Ayush ki kundali?" she asked.

Bhupendra nodded and passed the kundali to the priest.

As everyone chatted, the priest began his calculations, counting on his fingers and murmuring to himself.

Suman felt a sense of calm wash over her.

This was real.

They were really going to get married soon.

The priest leaned closer to Satyajeet and whispered something that made Satyajeet's expression change.

Suman couldn't hear what was being said, but she noticed the flicker of tension on her father's face.

He looked worried, and that worried her.

"Aap sach mein apni putri ka vivah inse karwana chahte hain?" the priest asked, gesturing towards Ayush.

Satyajeet frowned, "Aap aisa kyun keh rahe hain, pandit ji?"

The priest sighed, "Inn dono ki kundaliyan bilkul alag hain. Yeh dono ek dusre ke liye bane hi nahi hain. Agar yeh vivah hua toh dono ka jeevan barbaad ho jaayega."

Satyajeet's frown deepened, a flicker of tension appearing on his face.

His heart sank.

He didn't want to believe what the priest was saying, but he couldn't help but feel a twinge of fear.

Just then, Shobha asked, "Pandit ji, toh kaunsi tarikh sahi hai baccho ki shaadi ke liye?"

The priest looked at Satyajeet, then at Shobha, and said, "Behenji, iss mahine ki kisi bhi tarikh ko vivah ho sakta hai."

Shobha nodded, relieved to hear some good news.

Ayush, who had been quiet, suddenly spoke up, "Then let's get married after 10 days."

The room fell silent. Suman's family was shocked.

Ten days was too early.

They all opposed the idea, including Suman.

"Ayush, yeh bahut jaldi hai," Suman said softly, her eyes pleading.

Ayush took her hands in his and looked into her eyes. "Please, Suman. Let's get married. I can't wait anymore. Please."

His voice was desperate, as if he was trying to escape thoughts that didn't include her.

His desperation touched her heart, and she found herself nodding.

"Okay, Ayush," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.

The room erupted in different expressions.

Shobha and Aarushi looked happy, their faces lighting up with smiles.

Satyajeet was in a dilemma, the priest's words weighing heavily on his mind.

Abhijeet was clearly opposed to the early wedding, his protective nature showing through.

Bhupendra was surprised, knowing that Meena would not accept this decision easily.

As everyone began discussing the preparations, Suman felt a mix of emotions.

She was happy, yes, but there was an underlying sense of unease.

She looked at Ayush, who smiled at her reassuringly.

They were in this together, and whatever the future held, they would face it side by side.

For now, she chose to focus on the happiness of the moment, the promise of a future with the man she loved.

Ayush reached home and immediately sensed the storm brewing in the air.

His mother, Meena, was fuming with anger.

He rolled his eyes, already anticipating the confrontation.

As he was about to retreat to his room, he heard her sharp voice cut through the tension-filled air.

"I will not accept this decision of yours, Ayush. That girl will not become my daughter-in-law," Meena declared, her voice dripping with disdain.

Ayush sighed, trying to keep his frustration in check. "Fine then," he replied calmly, "she will be my wife, not your daughter-in-law."

Meena's face twisted in anger.

The way her son was willing to fight for Suman made her fear that one day he might leave his parents alone and live with Suman.

She didn't find Suman up to her standards and had always envisioned a daughter-in-law from a more powerful and wealthy family.

The Mehrotra's were rich, but they were not as influential as the Rao's.

Blinded by greed and power, she desperately wanted Ayush to marry Tina.

Ayush didn't wait for her to respond.

He turned and headed to his room, his heart heavy with the weight of his family's disapproval.

Just as he reached his room, his phone buzzed.

The caller ID displayed an unknown number.

His eyebrows knitted together in curiosity, but he answered the call nonetheless.

"Hello?" Ayush said.

"Hello, am I speaking to Mr. Ayush Agrawal?" a deep voice on the other end inquired.

"Yes, speaking," Ayush replied.

"Mr. Agrawal, this is Amay Shekhawat," the voice continued. Ayush's eyes widened in surprise.

"Yes, Mr. Shekhawat," Ayush responded, trying to keep his voice steady.

"Mr. Agrawal, I called to inform you that our deal is on. My father liked your proposal, and we are ready to associate with you. Could you please come tomorrow to sign the contract?" Amay said.

Ayush felt a rush of relief and excitement. "Sure, Mr. Shekhawat. I'll be there," he said, a smile spreading across his face.

"Great. See you tomorrow," Amay concluded, ending the call.

Ayush stared at his phone, feeling a sense of triumph.

Finally, his life was getting back on track.

In just ten days, he would marry Suman, the love of his life, and now this deal with the Shekhawat's, which was crucial for his business.

Despite the turmoil at home, Ayush allowed himself a moment of pure joy, feeling like everything was falling into place.

Namita stormed into Suman's room, her face flushed with anger. "Suman! What on earth were you thinking agreeing to Ayush's absurd demand of marrying in just ten days?" she yelled, her voice echoing through the room.

Suman tried to calm her down, holding her hands up in a placating gesture. "Namu, please, calm down. It's not that bad."

Namita's fury only grew. "Not that bad? Sumi, I had so many dreams for your wedding! We planned everything together, and now you're just rushing into it like this!"

Suman took a deep breath, trying to find the right words to soothe her friend. "Namu, I understand you're upset, but Ayush really wants this. He seems desperate, and I can't say no to him."

Namita shook her head, still fuming. "Do you really want to marry him, Sumi? Or are you just doing this because he asked?"

Suman hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "Yes, I do want to marry him."

Namita crossed her arms, her eyes narrowing. "Then why hasn't his mother approached you for wedding shopping? The bridal dress is supposed to be from their side, right?"

Suman nodded, a flicker of disappointment crossing her face. "Yes, it is. But Ayush's mother hasn't mentioned anything about it."

Namita's concern deepened. "Think about it again, Sumi. Marriage isn't a game. It's a lifelong commitment. You don't get second chances."

Suman sighed, feeling the weight of her friend's words. "I know, Namu. But I trust Ayush. I believe everything will be fine. I'll win his mother's heart eventually."

Namita shook her head in frustration. "You're such an idiot, Sumi. The concept of love literally left the chat in this scenario."

Suman looked at her friend, trying to make her understand. "I love him, Namu. I really do."

Namita let out an exasperated sigh. "Your declaration of love lacks passion, Sumi. Try next time; maybe you'll succeed in convincing me." With that, she turned and left the room, leaving Suman standing there, feeling a mix of determination and doubt.

Bhadresh Rao sat comfortably in his opulent living room, the air thick with tension as Bhupendra Agrawal took a seat across from him.

The two men exchanged formal pleasantries before Bhadresh cut to the chase.

"Mr. Agrawal, I want your son to marry my daughter," Bhadresh said, his tone firm and unyielding.

Bhupendra's eyes widened in shock. "Mr. Rao, Ayush is already engaged to Suman. Please, this can't happen."

Bhadresh looked entirely uninterested in Bhupendra's objections. "Then make him understand. I want Ayush to marry Tina, not that Mehrotra girl."

Bhupendra's desperation grew. "Ayush will never agree to this."

Bhadresh leaned back, a sinister smile playing on his lips. "Don't forget, Agrawal, I helped your son revive your drowning company. I still have the power to destroy him as well."

Bhupendra's face paled as he realized the gravity of the situation. "But..."

Bhadresh raised a hand to silence him. "By the way, I have something for you."

Bhupendra frowned, confused. Bhadresh motioned to one of his men, who quickly set up a video on the TV.

The man left the room, leaving Bhupendra and Bhadresh alone.

Bhadresh turned on the TV, and as the video played, Bhupendra's face drained of color.

Sweat started to form on his forehead as he watched the damning footage, his heart racing with fear.

He looked at Bhadresh, who wore a triumphant smirk.

"Now, Agrawal," Bhadresh said smoothly, "will you make your son agree?"

Bhupendra's hands trembled as he realized the extent of Bhadresh's power over them.

The evidence on the screen was undeniable, and he knew that Bhadresh could ruin them with a single move.

Swallowing hard, Bhupendra nodded reluctantly, the weight of the situation pressing down on him. "I'll talk to Ayush," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Bhadresh's smile widened. "Good. I knew you'd see things my way."

In the Shekhawat mansion, Anirudh had just returned from his business trip.

He immediately checked on his wife, Tara, who was resting in their grand living room.

She looked much better, her color restored and her spirits high.

"Your monkey son has taken good care of you," Anirudh teased, a smile playing on his lips.

Tara slapped his chest lightly, a mock scold on her face. "Don't call my son a monkey! He is a gentleman."

Anirudh rolled his eyes playfully. "Where is our esteemed son, by the way?"

Tara smiled. "He's gone to the office to finalize some deal."

Anirudh nodded knowingly. "Ah, the Agrawal deal, the one brought in by Satya."

Tara looked surprised. "Satya bhaisahab brought the deal?"

"Yes," Anirudh confirmed. "Apparently, that Agrawal boy is his soon-to-be son-in-law."

Tara's eyes widened. "Satya bhaisahab's daughter is getting married?"

He nodded, and they both shared a look of pleasant surprise at the news.

Meanwhile, at Shekhawat Legacy, Amay sat in his cabin, deep in thought.

He couldn't get Suman out of his mind, no matter how hard he tried to focus on work.

Just then, Ayush walked in, and they greeted each other cordially.

Amay handed Ayush the contract papers.

Ayush signed them immediately, without hesitation.

"Mr. Agrawal, business rule number one: you should read every paper before signing it," Amay advised.

Ayush smiled, confident. "I know, Mr. Shekhawat, but trust is also important."

Amay nodded, respecting his outlook.

Just then, Ayush's phone rang.

Amay glanced at the caller ID and saw the name "Suman."

His thoughts immediately drifted back to the girl he couldn't stop thinking about.

Ayush answered the call, his voice warm. "Hello, Suman."

Hearing her name confirmed Amay's growing suspicions, but he tried to dismiss it, thinking it could be a different Suman.

Little did he know that the Suman Ayush was talking to was the same girl who had captivated his heart.

As Ayush continued his conversation, Amay's mind was a whirlwind of emotions, unaware that his heart was on the verge of breaking badly once he discovered the truth.
