My brother is a boxer?

How? When did he..?

Ya Allah what's going on?

No, it can't be him. My brother never keeps a secret from me. We made a promise.

It's not him.

I checked the date and it turned out be tomorrow at 7PM. Perfect, I'll come here to make sure that's not him.

"Let's go." Lucas called behind me.

We went out and Lucas drove away from the gym.

"Do you train here?" I broke the silence.

"Sometimes."

"Do you know someone named Led there?" If he trains there maybe he knows that person.

He stiffened. "No"

I narrowed my eyes at him for a while to see if he's lying or not but I shrugged and looked away.

I told him to drop me off at the Starbucks where my car is.

"See ya." I waved to him as I grabbed my backbag. He waved back and smiled "Later."

*********

In the end I decided to drive to a park near the apartment instead of home because it was nice weather and I wanted to find an inspiration for my painting.

My rang beside me on a bench facing a fountain, it was beautiful.

"Hello." I answered without checking the caller.

"Where are you slave?" Ugh Amir.

"Are you just breaking your own rule?" I rolled my eyes.

"You're my slave, I can ask whatever I want. Where are you?"

I mocked him silently but answered nonetheless.

"At the park near the plaza." I sighed. I can't even enjoy the weather.

"Come at the parking lot, we need to go somewhere."

"Where?"

"No questions." And he hanged up.

Jerk. This nasty jerk!

I groaned and went straight to the parking lot.

I spotted him in his car before i imbed in.

He turned to me and smirked. "Hi there."

"What do you want?"

"I'm hungry, I want food and you're paying." He started the engine which made me fasten my seat belt. I happen to love myself a lot.

"Excuse me?! Why am I paying!?" It not like I don't have money, it's just that I don't want pay for his food.

"Because I said so, slave." He deadpaned, his eyes on the road.

"Don't get used to that name." I warned. I liked lion better.

"What can I say love? Six months is a long time, might as well get comfortable." His British accent was thick and it made me jealous.

I love British accent but too bad I only have American accent. Now that I think about it, I never been outside America before. Yeah I know it sucks.

I narrowed my eyes at him and whipped my head to the window when I heard rain drops. I want thought it was sunny outside. But then I saw that the sun was up and shining while it was raining.

If I don't see a rainbow I going to be pissed.

The car pulled in front of a small restaurant. I never been here before, maybe it's new.

"Is it new here?" I asked while I went inside with Amir beside me.

"No, it's small but the food here is delicious."

We sat on a booth at the corner and checked the menu.

Wow it's cheap here so I ordered a sandwich with lemonade while Amir ordered spaghetti with coke. My love for sandwich never dies.

After the waiter went away I decided to speak to start a conversation. If I'm going eat with him might as well talk to him "So Amir how is it going with your life?"

"Good. You?"

"Perfect." And then silence took over.

Our orders came rather quickly despite the fact it's full of costumers here. I took a bit of my sandwich and Amir devouring his meal.

I don't know how to act with him. Should I be a wife? A friend? Stranger? I don't know. So why not ask him. It's going to be even more complicated if I don't ask.

"What do you want me to be, Amir? A wife? A friend? Stranger?"

His brow rose like he's only thinking about it now.

"How about Layla?" He answered and went back to his meal.

What's that supposed to mean? Be myself?

"Tell me what you want now. I don't think you're poor enough to ask me for food nor do you have the time since you're away all the time." I looked up to meet his now amused eyes. "What do you want?" I asked.

"Well love, since we're going to be together for God knows how long, I simply wanted to spend time with you. It's that hard to believe." He said with softness in his voice. Odd.

"Honestly yes, it's really hard to believe. You, Amir Ismail wants to spend time with your forced wife." I leaned forward to him a little. "Tell me, do you want to make my life much harder? Is that why you keep reminding me that I'm yours to comand? I hate to admit but it's working."

To my surprise he leaned over too making our distance shorter with inches between our noses.

"Is that what you think of yourself? A forced wife? A burden? I didn't know you were that insecure." He muttered looking straight into my eyes, daring me to look away.

I clenched my teeth. He pushed a button. A button I didn't acknowledge. Didn't want to acknowledge it. My insecurities. My deep feelings I didn't colour, leaving it black.

I put my sandwich on the table, fished out my wallet and slammed money on the table. Without another word I walked out, not caring about the rain pouring outside.
