"We're here." Latifa said as she pulled up at the side of the gym.
My heart rate picked up, being actually nervous of what I will see in there. What if it's my brother? But then again why would he do this to begin with? He does not have any reason to be an underground boxer and if it was about money, he knows that getting money like this is not permissible in our religion.
"Let's go and figure this out once and for all." Latifa squeezed my hand and pulled me towards the building. As we entered the building, the energy in there overwhelmed me.
All sorts of people cheered and stood around the ring mostly tattooed huge men. But there was also women there in their short tight dress that left nothing to imagination.
Anyone can see that I and Latifa do not belong here. Looking around the place I spotted a person making me doubt my eyes.
Amir was here!! What on the actually butterfly is he doing here??
I turned away quickly and guestured the other side of the gym to Latifa. We squeezed through our way further away from Amir.
"What on earth have we walked into?" Latifa gaped and her eyes widened.
"I swear I didn't know think it will be like this." my headache began again with all the shouting laughing and the music playing loud. Luckily no one noticed us and if they did, they didn't pay attention to us.
"WELCOME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN!" a man climbed up the ring with a microphone in his hand. I guess he's the host. "I KNOW YOU'VE ALL BEEN WAITING A WHOLE WEEK FOR THIS MATCH BUT I ASSURE YOU. IT. WILL. BE. EPIC!!!" people cheered harder. "AND YOU GOTTA MAKE SURE WHO YOUR BET ON IS THE WINNER, RIGGGHHHT? SO NOW LET'S MEET THE CHAMPIONS.!" my heart pounded harshly in my chest.
This is it. "FIRST UP IS THE FIRE BREATHING DRAAAGOOON!"
A shirtless man that had tattoos from head to toes ran up to the ring. The muscles ticked and shifted with his every movement and he was shorter than Khaled but slightly bigger.
"AND HIS FIGHT IS WITH... OUR NEW CHAMPION LEEEEED!" my heart stopped. Khaled with all his glory strolled toward the ring. My mind went blank unable to think about anything as the fight began.
Latifa on the other hand didn't say anything probably was as shocked as me but she squeezed my arm keeping me from collapsing.
My headache did not help and my body became warm implicating that my fever is rising. But I watched. Not for a second did I turned my face away, facing my brother's true form as he beat the crap out of the poor guy now laying on the floor.
Too much blood.
This is not boxing. This is a match for life or death. The match took 5 minute or 20, I don't know to be honest.
I felt sick and dizzy. "I need to breathe." I said to Latifa gasping for air. Before I left my eyes searched for Khaled's eyes.
As soon as a tear betrayed me our eyes met. For a second panic filled his eyes but I didn't see his expression any further as I walked out leaning on Latifa.
I sprinted towards to bushes before I hurled everything I ate today. After I finished puking my guts out, Latifa decide to break our miserable silence.
"I will find some water for you. Stay here." and she was gone.
After a few moments I regretted letting her go. We should have gone home. I stumbled forward wanting to find Latifa but three drunk guys blocked my path.
Ugh I really don't have time and energy for this. "Hi pretty, where are you going so early." one of them who can barely stand said.
I blankly looked at him not even bothering to speak until another one grabbed my arm.
"Hey let go!" I raised my voice despite my throat hurting. The whole world was spinning, I think I'm losing my conscience.
Ya think? something in my head snorted.
I must be losing my mind.
"Come on, we can have fun out here." he said. Oooohhhh heeeell naww.
I want to punch him real bad. I'm feeling my violence side showing even if I couldn't lift my hand up. I felt so weak. If I see them again I'll kill them.
The first guy who spoke lifted his hand to grab my other arm but another hand stopped him.
"A-A-Amir." all three of them stuttered. I looked up to see Amir glaring at them and in a second they all ran away, tripping along the way.
"Awe my knight in shining armor, where have you been my whole life." I couldn't stop my sarcastic mouth to ramble.
Although his face was a blur because of my dizziness I swear I could see him smirking.
"And here I thought I was your prince charming." he whispered into my ear and I almost snorted at his reference to his name. Amir means Prince in Arabic.
But I shivered. I swear I don't usually act like this.
He cupped my face in his hands and frowned. "Why are you here like this?" he growled. My eyes felt heavy as I closed them. "You're going to be the death of me Layla."
"I want to sleep." my head dropped to his chest and let the darkness take over. He picked me up in his arms like a bridal style where I pressed myself harder to his chest and my head resting on where his shoulder and neck meet seeking his warmth. I buried my face in his neck.
He smells soooo good...
"You're unbelievable." he breathed that was the last thing I heard.

Wow what a comfy bed~~
It almost feel like I'm back into my old room. Am I home? Mooooom I've missed you so much~
Then it hit me. All the memories from yesterday came crashing down on me and I just wish the earth will swallow me whole.
I opened my eyes real quick and sat straight on the bed. I took a look on my surroundings to figure out where I am. My hijab and shoes was off but I still had my clothes from yesterday on.
Based on the colours I'm in a man's room, too much dark colours. I'm guessing Amir's room since he was the last person I saw yesterday and that means I'm back to the penthouse.
I almost screamed when I saw Amir sleeping on a chair beside me. How come I didn't sense him?!
He looks so peaceful and like a baby when he sleeps. His hair was everywhere and looks soft I just want to run my hands throught them. His lips...
Stop! Don't you dare finish that sentence, Layla!!
On the nightstand you could find a bowl of water and and a wet towel. Did Amir use these to bring my fever down? I was feeling fine, no sign of fever and cold.
What did he give me?
Letting my eyes roaming my breath hitched as I saw something familiar.
My painting.
