"Are you ready yet?!" Amir shouted from downstairs.

"Give me a second!" I shouted back as I was throwing everything around. I was searching for my sketch book. I can't leave without it dammit. After a good minute of going back and forth when I checked under my bed I saw it laying there.

Why is it under here?!

I reached for it, grabbed it and stuffed it in my black backpack.

I skipped down the stairs and found Amir laying sideways on the singel couch looking at me and sighed.

"Finally, what were you doing up there?" He said as he moved closer to me after he jumped out of the couch.

I smiled sheepishly and scratched my head "sorry, let's go." I grabbed his hand but when we took a step he spoke "Wait forgot my medications, I'll right back." He jogged up.

How can someone forget their medications!?

I went after him. "How can you forget?!" I frowned at him who crunching down before his nightstand.

He ruffled through the thousand packs in his cabinet.

I lowered myself to help but halted when I saw my drawing of him standing on the nightstand in a frame.

The words I've written below was much visible and clear now. My cheeks started to burn.

Amir looked up at me and turned to the frame and then up to me. He smiled a breathtaking smile. My heart raced.

"W-what are you l-looking for?" I said focusing on reading the names on the packs.

"Beta blocker and Paracetamol."

Our hands bumped into each other several times which at last made Amir grab my hand and intertwine his fingers with mine. Shivers ran down my spine.

"A-Amir stop playing around, we have a flight to catch."

He gazed into my eyes while he brought up my hand to his mouth and kissed the back of it. Right then I melted. What is happening to me?! I'm getting soft.

I ripped my hand from his grip and stood up. "You know what? I going by myself. Stay here if you want." I huffed and stuck out my tougue before I went out of the door.

I heard his laugh behind me and his words. "Wait for me!"

*******

"Wooow it's soo beautiful!" I practically ran to balcony of the hotel room we settled in a second ago. It's like our penthouse but even higher so you could see the whole city from here.

I bet it's even prettier in the evening.

I glanced back at Amir smiling as he made his way beside me.

I turned my head to the view before me as I thought about how many painting I could paint to get the picture right, how many shades of colours would it need and what I could change to make it as dreamlike and real as I can.

"Mm it's beautiful." Amir deep and rich voice dragged me out my thoughts. I met his now dark blue eyes and I saw the love I dreamt about. My flushed when I realized he was talking about me.

I popped the bubble and glanced around.

"Shall we unpack?" I asked.

"I have a meeting in 20min." He began and my face fell. Here I was hoping for me and him to go and sightsee a little.

His hand reached for my cheek and rubbed it slightly.

"The meeting shouldn't take long, I will come back before you know it. And besides when I said I had plans for you, I meant 'I have plans for you today' so look forward to it." He smirked.

"I can't wait." I whispered while leaning into his touch.

After hugging for a good 5 minutes Amir's ride came and he went out. I unpacked both my clothes and Amir's into the same wardrobe since there was only one in the room.

Right now I'm sitting on the couch and resketching a portrait I drew on the airplane.

It's was a man that looked sad and his eyes twinkled with tears. His head was resting on the window and sorrow was evident in his eyes. I couldn't help but to grab my sketchbook and draw him.

It somehow got easier to draw portraits after Amir's. I had a hard time with them before.

Ugh I'm bored~

Then an idea popped up in my mind. I should explore. I mean since I was a child I liked to explore some new places. That's it, I'm going out.

But what if Amir gets mad?

I simply won't tell him that I went out.

He won't be mad if he does not know.

So I went out, I could find the exit thanks to the signs showing where everything is located.

When I went outside the fresh air of London fanned my face.

Wow the streets are cleaner than New York. I'm impressed.

A dog barked beside me.

My eyes widened and turned my head slowly. There I saw the most terrifying dog and on top of that he's.... Unleashed!!!!

Dogs are definitely not my favourite animal.

I took a step back and the dog barked even loudly as he moved closer.

Layla run.

I dashed away as hard as I could. The dog ran after.

What's with this animal!? Please go away!

One important information you need to know about me is that I HATE animals especially dogs. I ran and ran until I could not hear the barking more. I halted and looked back. No dog in sight. Uff I survived I sighed but stopped as I froze.

Shit! Where am I?!

I looked at my surroundings hoping to somehow see something familiar even thought I don't think I will but hey! You gotta have faith in Allah.

I sighed in defeat glancing at the people walking mindlessly to their destination.

Amir’s POV

I stared blankly at the projector showing a new design that our partner has to offer. It was pretty good, I expected nothing less from this company that keeps rising.

I came to sign the contract between our partnership. I took over our company in London a few months ago and you can say that this act is my debut as the new CEO.

My father already trained me enough for this. The training to eventually take over our companies began ever since I can remember and my father did not stop despite my illness, he’s always been hard on me but never gave up on me. You’d think he’d hate me for my mother’s death but he never blamed me.

He always disciplined me, if I did anything wrong he would punish so that I never do it again. Yet the best punishment I ever received from him is marrying Layla. I don’t know how. I don’t know what happened but she became the light in my life. And now nothing else matters except her.

My phone buzzed in pocket making me to snap back to reality. I took it out and my breath hitched when I saw the name. Layla. Did something happen to her? I was with her an hour ago and she knows that I'm in a meeting.

Before I wanted to stand up the presentation was over and everyone clapped. I stood up nonetheless. “There’s a call I need to take meanwhile you all can take a break.” everyone nodded and I slid my thumb over the answer button.

“Hello?” there was a hint of uncertainty and fear in her voice. My heart went rigid. “Is there something wrong Layla? Are you alright?”

“Y-yeah i’m fine. It’s just that I did something ...bad.”

I frowned. “What? What have you done?”

“I went outside and now im lost.” she said quickly.

“What?” I hissed. “Why did you-” I paused and rubbed my tempel. London is not a great place to get lost in. there are very dangerous people on the streets. I knew I shouldn't leave her alone in the hotel, she is too reckless. But then again isn’t it what i love about her?

“I’m sorry, I got bored and went outside for fresh air and then there was this dog…”

“It’s okey. Can you use your phone to see your location and send it to me now? I’ll be there in 5 min.”

“Okay “ she whispered.

“And stay where you are.”

I went back to the meeting room. I signed the contract and make the deal as quickly as I could. My head was too busy thinking about Layla.

“Yes, take care of it the process and keep me informed through my email. I will leave the rest you.” I said as I stood up and fixed my suit.

“Yes sir don’t worry about this project it will go as smoothly as I planned now that you signed the contract. No problems shall occur.” one of the manager's my father trusts stretched out his hand for me to shake which I took.

I nodded curtly before I was on my way. The location was a lot nearer than I expected. There was my favorite restaurang to go to while growing up. She's near there.

I stepped on the gas and as I thought about Layla and the night we're going to have tonight I found myself parking behind the restaurant. After I walked around to main road I saw the most beautiful girl in my life. Layla stood there tapping her feet fast on the ground as her eyes wondered around her.

I dialed Layla and I watched her answer her phone.

"You're late. Where are you?" She whined and I chuckled.

"Look to your left."

She turned her face to her right side.

"Left, Lion."

Her face became pink and she grimaced.

When she saw me she visibly relaxed and walked towards me.

"I'm sorry, did I interrupt your meeting?" She frowned.

"You should be sorry for making me worry so much." I said and pulled her to hug her.

"Oh yeah?" She said as she wrapped her arms around my torso.

I hummed and pulled away just a little to take a look at her face.

"Let's go shopping."

"Why?" She asked.

"For the dinner today and you can sightsee while we're at it."

She raised a brow and her big eyes narrowed at me.

"Are you implying that I don't have any decent clothes?"

"I'm not saying that but that's exactly what I'm saying. You always have sweatpants and hoddies on you." Even now. I clenched my teeth to stop myself from laughing when she glared at me.

She pulled away from my arms and punched my stomach.

I groaned as I crunched down slightly.

"Serves you right." She muttered and started to walking to a wrong direction.

"This way." I said as I composed myself right pointing behind me.

She halted and turned before she walked faster.

*********

Layla's POV

I ended up not going with him to shop. For his information I did have something appropriate for a dinner to wear.

I did the last touch if make up on my face and looked at myself in the mirror.

I smiled when I saw something I liked.

I'm safe to say I look dashing.

I walked out of the bathroom only to see Amir's back on me.

"I'm done. Let's go." I announced my presence and Amir turned towards me.

Now he was in a grey coat, different from before when he was in suit. Even his aura changed.

He looked intimidating and powerfull before but now he's just... the annoying Amir that I love.

His eyes traveled up and down on my figure. And then up to meet my eyes.

"Speechless?" I smirked.

"You look... beautiful." He said, his voice husky. I blushed and my cockiness vanished.

I smiled and wrapped my hand through his arms and we went out.

Amir drove in his fancy car. Where he got it from I don't know.

Soon after we walked in a fancy restaurant and the waitress showed us our table.

"Did you realize that this is our first date?" I asked.

"No, we had one before remember? The sky diving?" He smirked and as I remembered my face grew grim.

"That wasn't a date. That was trying to murder me in daylight."

He chuckled and that sound became my favourite sound.

"It was a date for me." He said and my heart skipped a beat. Suddenly my whole body warmed up.

"Well you need to change your definition of a date is unique." I smiled with sarcasm and took off my abaya. It was getting hot.

Amir raised his hand and made an eye contact with a waiter.

The waiter nodded and went inside the kitchen. What was that?

"I have something to tell you." Amir said seriously.

"W-what is it? Is everything okay?" I stuttered.

The waiter came and placed a big plate with a lid on before he went away.

"What is this? When did we order something?"

"Check what's inside." He smiled slightly.

I hesitate first then I took off the lid.

My breath faltered as I saw what was inside.

It was a beautiful red rose with a diamond ring in the centre. Before it was a little paper that said 'Will you marry me?'

I breathed out slowly and looked up at him with wide eyes.

"Layla will you become my bride and partner in life?"

"But we're already married?"

"Our souls weren't. Let have one for real."

"Are you sure?"

His fingers touched mine and brought them to his lips.

"As sure as I'll ever be."

A tear dropped down my cheeks as I grinned from an ear to the other.
