Chapter 29

:Sophia/Tanner

Moaning softly I stretched arching my back up as Tanner muttered a curse when I pushed him away to get out of bed. Quickly settling back down he was fast asleep as I pulled the sheet with me as I went to the bathroom. Slipping into the shower I adjusted the water and let it run over my body letting myself sigh softly.

My skin was flushed and I couldn’t help but notice the hickey’s Tanner had left. Smiling I remembered how I had acted so daring and bold Tanner brought that out in me. Making me feel like I didn’t have to be afraid of anything.

‘SoSo?’

Pushing the curtain aside I poked my head out as Tanner stumbled in with closed eyes as he felt around.

‘I have to go to the bathroom’

‘I’m in the shower sweetheart you can open your eyes. Do what you got to do’ I muttered softly with a chuckle. He was so cute. Opening his eyes he gave a shy smile.

‘I didn’t want to make you feel awkward.’

Closing the curtain I sighed. ‘Tanner, you’ve seen me naked I’ve seen you naked. To be honest it doesn’t make me feel awkward at all’ I admitted with a smile as I heard the toilet seat being put down.

‘ok but step back from the water I’m bout to flush the toilet’ he warned moving to the corner I shivered when the water went cold for a second.

‘thanks’

Yelping when the curtain was pushed aside he slipped in and wrapped his arms around me. Giving me a kiss he pulled back as the water ran over our bodies. ‘don’t mind if I join you do you?’ shaking my head no I glanced between us and grinned. ‘hey no eyes up here’ he mocked at me. grabbing the shampoo he squirted some into the palm of his hands. ‘close your eyes sweetie’ sighing I did as he asked as he lathered the soap into my hair messaging slowly in circles his body pressed against my back making me shiver. Washing out the shampoo I opened my eyes.

‘you didn’t have to do this’

‘I know but I wanted to. You gave me the world last night’  he kissed the tip of my nose. ‘let me treat you good without having ask me why’ I let out a deep sigh and nodded as he grabbed the conditioner.

‘come on Tanner don’t tease me like that’ I whined when he skimmed his hands down my back to cup my butt. Swatting his hands away I grabbed my clothes and changed into them quickly while he tried to grab me again.

‘I’m the tease? You’re the one biting my neck!’ he threw his hands up in the air.

‘O it was an accident you grabbed my…my bum bum’ I whined with a blush. ‘you started it’

‘you know if I have to come in there to drag you out I will!’ Lex pounded on the door making me grin.

‘come on Tanner get a shirt on’ I pushed him back a step playfully winking at him.

‘you know your more sexy when your teasing me! tonight you will pay!’ he warned with a daring grin as he grabbed the first shirt he found. Which was a tight grey shirt that clung to his wide chest. Licking my lips I quickly looked away and slipped out of the room.

‘so did the night gown work? Wait scratch that those hickey’s on your neck are screaming sex’ she grinned at me. ‘took a shower right? Cuz I wanna hug you but I don’t want your sex sweat on me’

Rolling my eyes I nodded. ‘ya I took a shower’

‘o thank god!’ she threw herself at me taking me in a huge hug. laughing I hugged her back.

‘you made Tanner eat while I was out of it right?’ I asked before he came out.

Nodding she let me go as Tanner ran his hand through his hair. ‘nice way to ruin the moment Lex nice’ he grumbled something else to her that made her blush.

‘try doing it and you wont have little Tanner any more’ she warned.

Scoffing he smirked. ‘ask Sophia there aint nothing little about that’

‘Ask Sophia what?’ I mumbled with a frown as I looked between them. ‘what are you two talking about? You cant hurt my Tanner!’ I boomed as I stood in front of him. ‘don’t think about it Lex I’ll rip your arm from the socket’ my eyes widened at my threat. I’d never been a real aggressive person. ‘o my god…I’m sorry I didn’t mean it’ I covered my mouth with my hand as I quickly hid in my room locking the door as their voices whispered about something. Maybe Tanner was mad at me for acting like I had.

‘I think your right about Sophia having lingering memories of Cecilia’s spirit’ Lex smiled. ‘I like that she’s more spunky. SOPHIA get your ass out of that room!’ she banged on the door. ‘come on its about damn time you grew a pair I was worried I’d have to watch over you for the rest of my life’

Opening the door Sophia peeked out. ‘Your not mad at me?’ shaking her head Lex tapped her foot impatiently.

‘come on Sophia I’d do the same if someone threatened to cut off my boyfriend’s joy stick’ Sophia’s eyes widened.

‘joy stick?’

‘you know his disco stick? His little man? Mini Tanner?’ Lex listed off.

‘I told you already nothing about my disco stick is small’ I rolled my eyes.

‘His penis’ Lex answered bluntly as Sophia continued to stair at her like she was crazy.

‘Tanner’s not small’ she frowned at Lex.

Groaning Lex face palmed. ‘OMG! Ok look most guys call their “thing” mini me or something like that ok? I was being sarcastic I don’t want to know the size of Tanner’s slong’

Blushing Sophia glanced at me. ‘well ok then…but don’t you get any idea’s’ Sophia’s eyes narrowed as she wrapped her arms around my waist. ‘because he’s mine already taken’ she waved her hand in front of me. ‘all this-ya mine so you go find your own’

Grinning I wrapped my arm around her waist. I liked this new twist about her she was gaining a back bone. Not that I didn’t like her being timid but it was good to know that I wouldn’t have to worry about her that often. If she inherited a temper and sharp tongue from Cecilia then it was fine by me. as long as she didn’t run off with Bentley or something.

‘hey now chill out’ Lex held up her hands. ‘anyways I figured we could go to the mall. Evan wants to get a video game, and I need to get a new sweatshirt from Hollister’ she waved her hand around.

‘well me and Tanner planned on going out or something’ Sophia hesitated.

‘double date then! Me and Evan and you and Tanner’

Glancing up at me I smiled. ‘whatever you want babe. I’m game if you want to. If not we can go visit Jordan and Charlotte and see who she’s coping with losing her baby’ I offered softly.

‘how about you two go visit those to and me and Evan will swing by to come get you ok?’ Lex ran off waving behind her.

‘guess she answered for us’

Walking into the room were Charlotte was I watched her scream as she cringed away from Sophia. Glancing at me I held her hand tight and moved closer.

‘I’m sorry to hear about your baby’ she whispered softly as she handed the card to Jordan who was sitting quietly next to her.  Glancing between us she gulped and looked away quickly. ‘How you been Jordan?’ walking to him she wrapped her arms around him. Watching as he wrapped his arms around her he buried his face in her chest with a sob. It hurt to watch my brother cry to see him in pain. But I also wanted to kill Charlotte for only caring about herself.  ‘I’m so sorry  Jordan’ she rubbed his back softly as she let him cry his body began to tremble.

He was clutching her like a new born babe clutches its mother. He didn’t stop crying his body trembled as she began to hum her voice soft and soothing to me.

‘Come on lets get you something to eat doesn’t look like you’ve gotten anything’ she pulled away making him trail right behind her clutching to her side. And it didn’t bother me that my brother found comfort in my girlfriend I trusted her and I trusted him he was heartbroken to have lost his baby boy a child he’d been so excited to have.

Trailing behind them as she led him to the kitchen.

‘sit’ she pointed to the table and he did just that hunched over his eyes to the ground as he glanced at me. watching her glance around she found some things and began to work intently. She looked like she was going to war. And by the time the food got done I was surprised at how much she had made. Blushing she bit her lip. ‘I use to have to cook for the pack-its hard to jut cook for a small group’ plating she shoved a plate in front of Jordan. ‘eat’ glancing up at her he gave a weak smile.

‘smells amazing’

Shrugging she gave me a plate then served herself. ‘Everything’s gonna be ok Jordan’ she smiled to him as she reached out and touched his hand. ‘Everything will be alright’  she whispered to him as she glanced at me. ‘maybe we should reschedule for our date I want to spend time with Jordan’

She was companionate and loving, warmhearted and motherly, spunky and timid I couldn’t help but smile at her. Nodding I pushed my half eaten plate away. ‘I’ll break the news to Lex. You two have fun’

Giving her a kiss I walked away shaking my head with a chuckle. Never in my life had I thought I’d have a woman by my side again, she was everything I’d wished for in a female mate. She was everything any male could want. Why Zachary did what he did still shocked me I mean seven years separated with her. I would have been with her every single day every single hour. No matter the age.

Rolling my shoulders as I walked away I could hear him laughing. A sad laugh but a laugh none the less.

Hugging onto Jordan as he sobbed I felt his heart ache poor into me filling me up as he sniffled and held tighter. My ribs ached and my lungs swelled with the loss of air but I sucked in a deep breath and let him hold me. I felt like it was my job to let him cry on me to let him vent to let out his feelings and his sorrow. Seeing how Charlotte had shut him out because of her own depression. I hated her because she was after Tanner, now I hated her for hurting Jordan like she ,she was.

He told me why he was pretending to be a ghost and why he had faked his death. And how Tanner had been telling the truth something he was trying to ignore.

‘I’m sorry’ he whispered into my shoulder as his arms tightened before he loosened them leaving a slight ache in them. ‘I’m sorry’

Rubbing his back  I leaned my head back and looked up the sun. this place was sunny the glass roof was a nice touch to the indoor garden he’d taken me to after telling me this is were he spent most of his time while he was being  a “ghost”. ‘don’t be’ I muttered as  I looked back down at him. ‘I don’t mind if you cry, I’m here for you Jordan’

Blinking he sighed softly a miserable sigh. ‘the baby was a boy’ I waited for him to continue as I listened closely. ‘before I faked my death we were trying to have a child. But half breed’s like us aren’t lucky like humans or werewolf’s it takes us longer. After a while we gave up and we had some of my seed frozen just in case.’ He took a deep breath and held tight. ‘one day Tanner came to me and told me Charlotte made inquires to him to meet her in the garden this garden. He turned them down and chose to keep it from me deciding it wasn’t important till she made another advance and came to his room and tried to get him to sleep with her. He told me that she said she wanted us both because we were brothers. Me because I was oldest and Tanner because he held the power here’ he took a shaky breath. ‘and I didn’t believe my brother I hated him to a point because I thought he was lying to me so I framed my death Tanner and Dustin being the only eye witnesses it was easy to fake it with a  the sleeping beauty drug. Tanner knew because  I told him he had everything set him. In the end he had been right about Charlotte because after my death she begged him to take her because she was with child my child. She’d went through with another appointment to put my seed in her to ensure that she’d be with child’ glancing at me he gave a little chuckle. ‘after awhile I decided I wasn’t going to show her I was live still because I’d met with witches and trained I could slip from place to place with magic and be unnoticed.’

‘and when are you planning on showing yourself to everyone’

‘I already did the day of the battle the day you passed out was when I showed I was alive. A old friend has came back and I want him dead’ he bit out.

‘well I see’

He glanced at me and smiled. ‘your know you made my day.’

Grinning at him I shrugged. ‘I know what its like to be alone and to have no one to go to for help. I just wanted to be there for you’

Leaning up he kissed my cheek. ‘you should go to Tanner, he’s probably in the training room working out’

I went to protest.

‘no I’m fine now run off and go be with my brother’ jumping to my feet I ran towards the door. ‘and Sophia?’ I glanced back. ‘please don’t break his heart’ blinking I nodded quickly.

‘I love him’ leaving quickly I made my way to the training room finding him pressed against the wall by Zach. I held my breath as I watched quietly.

‘I don’t know what your up to Zach but I wont just hand her back to you’ Tanner said evenly as his eyes met mine. Worry filled me.

‘She’s my mate I’m ordering you to back down!’ Zach’s voice sliced through the air sending chills through me.

‘your alpha voice isn’t going to make me do anything Sophia is here because she wants to be here’ Tanner sighed softly. ‘I’m not a pack member so your voice wont have any effect on me so drop the alpha tone’

Growling Zach shoved Tanner closer to the wall making the mirror creak in protest as his hold tightened. Something filled me. Anger but it was like someone was telling what and how to move as I moved towards them so quietly Zach didn’t even hear me. I moved without thinking as I kicked his knee in making his leg give as he dropped, his hold faltered as I grabbed his arm and twisted it up behind his back as he gave a yelp of pain his eyes filled with alarm as he looked back at me. ‘Sophia what are you-?’

‘Tanner you ok?’ I whispered to him as I met his gaze. Nodding he moved out of the way as I shoved Zach forward catching himself he stood up  with a curious look in his eyes as he brushed his pants off and turned to face me.

‘I didn’t hear you come in’ he frowned as he rubbed his elbow. ‘where’d you learn that move?’

I shrugged ‘instinct I guess’ I looked at Tanner and checked his neck only to find it already fading away leaving his skin slightly pink. ‘you ok Tanner?’ he nodded slowly his lips in a straight line. ‘what was that all about?’

Shrugging he shoved his hands in his pockets. ‘I don’t know, and I don’t care lets go back to our room’ he muttered as he placed a warm kiss on my lips. His lips against mine distracting me quickly as I slid my hands up his smooth chest feeling his muscles from under his shirt.

‘I have something in mind’ I muttered against his lips making him smile as his arms slid around me.

‘ya and what is it’

‘it involves the nightgown from last night…and something else’ I smiled up at him. Groaning deep in his throat he nodded quickly as he scooped me up into his arms.

Laughing as he dropped me onto the bed gently he went into the bathroom not bothering to close the door. ‘I’m gonna wash up first ok?’

‘okay!’I  I rolled onto my stomach as I wiggled out of bed. Taking my clothes off I wondered into the bathroom watching his silhouette  move in the shower before I snuck closer till I was in the shower with him. Smiling when he jumped at the touch of my hands trailing down his back.

‘what are you?’

‘let me wash you’ I took the wash cloth from him and the bar of soap trailing it along his chest making swirls of suds as I went lower my hands messaging his chest my finger tips grazed his nipples making them harden under my touch as I glanced back up at him with a curled smile.

‘you’re a tease’ he grumbled when I swatted his hands away. trailing them down his stomach I avoided going towards his shaft. Sinking to my knees I moved my hands in the middle of his thighs making him whimper out softly. I was curious to how he would react if I put my mouth on his shaft…would it make him moan out like when he kissed me intimately? Licking my lips I sent him a smile as I leaned in trailing my tongue along his shaft hearing him suck in a shaky breath as his leaned back against the wall for support grabbing me by my shoulders he pulled me up his body quickly. ‘what on earth are you doing?’

Blushing I felt my heart race. ‘I was just trying something…I mean Lex told me something along the lines of what I was doing…you didn’t like it?’

Shaking his head he gave a chuckle as he pressed a kiss on my nose. ‘I loved it but, not in here ok? Lets finish our shower.’ Grunting when he pushed me up against the other wall of the shower he hoisted me up my legs locked around his waist as he kissed me his lips entangling mine my nails dug into his back as he ground into me. Feeling him grow harder I moaned out softly and tipped my head back as I unlocked my legs I gave him a soft push, pushing him back up against the wall my lips trailing over his neck. ‘Sophia’  I looked into his eyes. ‘if you keep doing that we’re going to end up making love in here, and as much as I want to take you right now I wont. We don’t have protection at the moment’ I gave a little frustrated growl as I shut the shower off.

‘fine’

Rolling over in my arms Sophia gave a little yawn. ‘the shower’ she muttered up at me with sleepy eyes. ‘lets try the shower next time.’ She giggled at her own words as she glanced around. ‘how’d we get on the floor?’

‘you knocked me over as soon as we got out of the shower Sophia’ I chuckled when she scrunched her nose.

‘my butt hurts…do I have rug burn?’ glancing at her butt I flinched at the slight pink shade her butt as. I nodded. ‘Tanner! Why didn’t you move us to the bed’

‘you wouldn’t let me, if I remember correctly you went all dominate on me and pinned me there’ I answered with a smile. ‘and in return I pinned you down which is why you got rug burn’

She pouted. ‘but it was fun’ she was so cute, I liked how she was ready to explore new things. Sighing I ran my hand up her back and down her shoulder to her arm. ‘can we try the shower next?’

‘maybe next time you need to eat your stomach is growling’

‘I’m not hungry’ she muttered as she pushed herself up her legs straddling me as she settled her hands on my chest. ‘do you have another condom?’

Shaking my head I rested my hands on her hips as I sat up sliding out from under her I moved away from her. ‘your hungry Sophia you need food, believe it or not but messing around makes you hungry’ blushing she shakes her head and crawls to me her butt in the air swaying from side to side with her hair spilling over her shoulders till she pounced at me knocking me back.

‘please?’

‘no’ I held her back slightly making her pout. ‘no you have to eat something’

Scowling Sophia plopped down at the dinner table her arms crossed across her chest as Jordan took a seat across from her. Sitting next to her she poked at the food nibbling I knew she was mad  that I was making her eat because if she had it her way we’d still be in our room. But I didn’t want our relationship to surround sex. Yes the sex was amazing but, I wanted to spend time with her to watch movies or to just hang out.

‘Sophia so help me god if you don’t eat that plate of food I will sleep in the training room tonight’ I warned with a growl.

Blinking she sent me a shocked look. ‘you wouldn’t’

‘I would if you don’t eat that plate of food’

And that sealed the deal she was eating quickly taking big bites till her plate was clean. ‘well then we know what she has in mind’ Jordan teased lightly as Dustin joined us sitting away from us with a scowl.

‘hows Charlotte doing?’ Sophia muttered through a mouthful of potatoes as Zach took a seat next to Jordan.

‘she’s doing as fine as any mother could be’ he shakes his head. ‘she acts like the loss of our son only effects her’

Sophia frowned. ‘I’m here for you Jordan if you need to talk to someone’ she smiled t him soflty making him nod. ‘I can make you something to eat to when your down’

‘you don’t have to do that’ Jordan sighed. ‘I don’t need anything’

The rest of dinner was quiet as I tried to ignore Sophia’s advances as she trailed her finger tip down my arm. she knew  what this was doing to me the little flirt.

‘Sophia can you stop that?’ I grit out making her glance up at me.

‘I don’t know what your talking about’

Rolling my eyes I turned the table as I slid my hand in the back of her hair giving a soft pull making her face come closer to mine. Breathing into her face I grazed my teeth over her bottom lip making her shiver. ‘o ya?’ I kissed her top lip and the tip of her nose as I gave a little purring sound watching her eyes flutter back and her lips quiver. ‘neither do I’ I let my hand slip out of her hair as I returned back to eating my food making her give a huff.

‘that’s not nice Tanner’

‘o?’ I glanced at Jordan. ‘you’ve been teasing me sense we’ve started eating.’

‘you know what that does to me’ she squirmed around in her seat as I slid my chair closer to hers. Resting my hand on her thigh I shrugged playing it cool none of the guys seemed to of noticed as I slid my hand up slowly.

‘not at all’ taking a deep breath I could smell her arousal faint but I was confident to say that only Zach could detect the scent and I knew his wolf must have been tearing at him to get out with the look in his eyes.

‘Tanner’ she whimpered out as she gripped my hand stopping it from going farther. Looking into her eyes I smile as I pushed my chair back abruptly almost knocking it back. Taking her hand I pulled her up from her seat.

‘lets go take a walk’

Nodding quickly we walked out and she showed me the indoor garden a place I never really liked to come to. Sitting down I pulled her with me seating her between my legs with her leaning against my chest.

‘Sophia, I don’t you to think I’m just using you for my release’ I whispered softly. ‘I don’t want a relationship that’s built on sex’ she snuggled closer.

‘but its not built on just sex’

‘I know that but I just don’t want you to feel like I’m using you, because I’m not I really do love you Sophia’ I whispered softly as I wrapped my arms around her.

‘I love you too’ she pressed her back closer to me with a small sigh. ‘I’m tired’

‘I know, why don’t you just take a nap we don’t have anywhere to be right now’ I whispered softly.

‘Tanner?’

Grunting in reply she sighed.

‘why did Zach have you pressed against the mirror like that?’

‘he was mad that’s all’ I answered as I held her closer. ‘nothing important’

‘I didn’t like seeing him do that to you’ she bit out with a sudden venom in her voice.

‘I could tell, you have nice moves with the way you got him off of me’ I smiled into her hair.

‘I don’t know what came over me I just moved, I’d never done that before it was strange like someone  was coaching me’ she mumbled softly. ‘is something wrong with me?’

‘nothings wrong with you, your just learning new things’ things that Cecilia knew how to do maybe Cecilia’s skills passed onto Sophia. She was gone for a month or so she was taken over by a hunters spirit maybe she trained so much that Sophia has it ground into her mind.
