Chapter 31
:Sophia /Tanner
Clenching at unclenching my hands as I paced in the training room I picked up the boxing gloves and put them on. Eyeing the large punching bag I rolled my shoulders and cracked my neck as I walked up to it smoothly. My steps whispering across the mats.
I'd never really been graceful, almost but not like the werewolfs that were in my pack. But something in me told me how to move, how to hold my fists up as I let my arm snap forward hitting the bag. After that it felt like I'd knew how to box all my life, right hook, left hook and to finish it off a round off kick which I landed with a cat like grace that was almost startling.
Hearing a clap my eyes jerked up towards the door as Jordan strolled in with a smirk with Tanner and Zach behind him. 'that was amazing who taught you that'
Blushing I shrugged as I shoved the gloves off. 'I don't know but it was cool!' I took off running at Tanner throwing myself in his arms giving him kisses all over his face. 'you said three days not five' I pouted as I slid down to my feet only to slap his chest softly. 'no more trips for a while ok?' he nodded with a prideful look in his eyes.
'you learning how to fight on your own' I blushed and nodded slowly.
'something seemed to be guiding me like-like there's a voice telling me how to move' I felt something move behind me and the voice, well not really a voice but a eerie feeling told me to turn and duck. Doing as the eerie thing commanded I pushed back sending whoever it was stumbling back a step.
'OUCH!' landing on their butt I looked down at Zach who was watching me with wide eyes as he rubbed his butt. 'what the hell Sophia' he growled out through clenched teeth.
Flinching I looked away from him and bit my lip. 'sorry don't try to scare me next time' I warned as I looked up at Tanner. 'I think I'm turning into a freak'
He gave me a dazzling grin before speaking'a sexy freak.' He sobered up. 'theres nothing wrong with being alert and skillful. It just means your not going to be helpless anymore its good for you to know how to defend yourself' he gave me a kiss on the forehead. 'I'd like to introduce you to Julia, she's Nikko's mate' he led me out of the room to Nikko who was sitting with a young woman on his lap his dark grey eyes holding love and tenderness as he talked to her. 'Julia this is my girlfriend Sophia, Sophia this is Nikko's mate we stumbled across her when we were coming back that's why we were so late' he whispered to me.
I smiled and waved to her as she eyed me for a second or too. She was pretty dark blonde hair that was cut to her shoulders and big brown eyes that gazed at me as a smile touched her lips. 'hey' she muttered as Nikko waved at me.
'nice to meet you Julia.' I said meekly.
'same' she muttered as she leaned closer to Nikko. 'your human' I nodded. 'so you know about us?' I nodded
'Ya I use to live in a pack' her eyes widened.
'I use to live in a pack to but the alpha didn't trust me  because my brother had attacked the pack when he turned 18 that was when he first shifted some lucky half breed's can shift into a wolf.' she glanced down at her intertwined fingers. 'I'm one of the unlucky ones, so he kicked me and my family out when I turned 14 because he was afraid I'd do the same thing. After that we lived in a SUV traveling from town to town.' She smiled softly. 'I left when I turned 20 to start my own like and to look around to find others like me to live with'
'I'm sorry to hear that'
She glanced at me and shrugged. 'its nothing to be sorry about its what made me, me.' she rubs her head with a groan. 'it brought me to Nikko. I didn't think halfbred's could have a mate'
'I guess your lucky in a different way then your brother' Nikko whispered as he kissed her cheek. 'if you don't mind I'm going to take Julia to my room so she can take a nap its been a long day' I nodded.
'can we hang out when she's done with her nap?' strangely enough I felt comfortable with Julia like I'd knew her for all my life a smile slid across her face like she felt the same way.
'can I Nikko? I'd like to get to know Sophia more' Julia asked as she glanced back at him. Nodding he sighed.
'I wont stop you from making friends Julia' kissing her she stood up and waited for him to stand with that he wrapped an arm around her waist and they both walked away leaving us standing there watching.
'I like her' I glanced at Tanner. ' I have a feeling that we're going to be good friends'
'what am I chopped liver? Did that chick just replace me?' Lex scowled as she walked in with narrow eyes. 'O and Jordan. Crazy Baby's Mama is flipping out on the nurses.' She muttered as she hugged me. 'been lonely without you hanging around at school with us'
Shoot she just ratted me out.
'Sophia you didn't go to school?' I hung my head and shrugged.
'I didn't want to-ok?' I grumbled. 'I don't see whats wrong with it. I mean you skipped too and, and you said yourself I don't have to get a job unless I want one because you'd take care of me right?' I glanced at him with wide eyes. 'unless your going-going to dump me in the future' tears welded up in my eyes with the thought of being alone.
His eyes grew wide as he jerked me into his arms his hands cupping my face holding me there looking into his eyes. 'don't say that word. Your mine Sophia' his lips brushed against mine and my eyes fluttered short. 'I wont let you go, I love you' his words comforted me. I knew I was acting childish but I was afraid that he'd realize I wouldn't live forever...and that one day he'd get rid of me. 'I love you to much to let you go' his breath fanned across my face as our lips entangled sweeping into a soft and gentle kiss moving in sync with each other making me gasp when his tongue flicked across my lips asking for permission to pass.
Quickly accepting I opened my lips letting him in, his tongue explored my mouth sending my heart racing my whole body was buzzing as my arms slid under between his as I gripped his shoulders arching my body up as I suckled on his tongue for a second making him groan against my lips.
'GUYS!' whimpering when Tanner pulled back from the kiss he glanced over at Lex.
'if you don't like what you see leave the room' he ordered as he turned his eyes back to mine. His eyes filled with lust and love slipping his arms around my waist I wrapped my legs around his as he stepped back till the back of his legs hit a chair. Sitting he slid his hands up my back sending shivers through me as I suckled on his bottom lip. 'five days is to long for us to be apart' he muttered softly as I kissed the sides of his mouth nodding.
'don't leave me that long Tanner. I cant stand it' I whispered as I cupped his face in my hands my hands sliding to cup the back of his neck my fingers slid into his hair as I held handfuls in a light grip. 'promise not to leave me that long'
Nodding quickly he kissed me softly. 'I'll take you with me next time.'
I smiled at him. 'you weren't hurt were you?' shaking his head I gave a grateful sigh. 'I was so scared when you didn't come back when you said you would'
'I know and I'm sorry I didn't call but when ever I had free time it was late and I knew you'd eb asleep'
'I wouldn't of cared if you woke me up Tanner' I bit my bottom lip as I searched his eyes. 'I wouldn't of cared because I missed your voice, and it was lonely in bed and so cold without you there by my side' I felt my lips quiver. 'I had Yoshiro with me but I needed you there Tanner, it didn't feel right to have that big bed all by myself'
His eyes softened as he hugged me close bringing my chin to his shoulder I kept my face tucked into his neck. 'I didn't mean to make you sad' he whispered softly. 'I was making things safe for you here ok? it wont happen again.'
'ok'

Tanner held me on his lap his fingers twiddling with the hem of my shirt humming softly as he nuzzled my neck with his nose making me shiver. 'How's Charlotte?' I asked Jordan as he walked in looking worn out.
'she had a panic attack they had to give her some thing to calm her down she's sleeping now' he groaned softly as he rubbed his face. He looked tired and like he had pent up anger. Pulling away from Tanner I stood up and held my hand out to him.
Eyeing it he took it and I pulled him up. 'I have an idea. Tanner I'll be back in 30 ok?' he smiled and nodded as I blew him a kiss as I lead Jordan to the training room.
'Sophia what are you doing?' I tossed him a pair of boxing gloves as I stood behind the punching bag holding it smiled at him.
'let it out Jordan.' I said simply making him eye me curiously.
'I don't understand what you want me to do' he frowned at me.
'Don't lie to me, I know your all pent up its not good to keep it all in Jordan. Let it out. Attack the bag let your anger flow through you.' I coxed. 'it helps'
Sighing he put the gloves on eyeing me as I braced myself to keep it in place. The first punch was nothing barley moving the bag. But eventually his punches became stronger sending tremors through me as I kept the punching bag in place his eyes darkened as he stopped.
'did it help?'
His eye widened as he nodded at me. 'ya thanks' smiling I slid out from behind the punching bag to give him a hug. 'and Sophia?' I glanced into his eyes. 'I want to further your training you know some stuff but, I'd like to make you a bad ass chick' I blushed as I went to protest. 'come on it's a good past time and you'll be able to protect Tanner' to protect Tanner...I'd like that to be able to feel worthy of him. I mean I knew he was strong and smart but seeing Zach hurt him angered me. I nodded. 'I'll show you the weakest spots on a werewolf so next time Zach does something you'll be able to get him back ten fold'
I felt a smile touch my lips. 'I'd like that a lot' I was horrible for saying that. But I love Tanner I didn't like seeing Zach hurt Tanner or how Tanner did nothing to him. He just took it but I wouldn't not my Tanner. Nobody would hurt Tanner. The dream I had scared me, I scared myself. But if I became strong I could stand by his side and be a strong companion.
'good to hear that' he kissed the top of my head. 'I'm glad my brother met you Sophia. You've really changed him for the good' he smiled at me. 'lets get you back to him ok?' I nodded.

My palms were sweaty my legs cramped as I lunged at Jordan ducking as he shouted at me too when he took a fake swing I dropped low in a squat kicking his legs out from under him. He didn't expect this because I was suppose to slip under his arm and catching him in a choke hold but that eerie feeling in me told to try this. Landing on his back he smiled up at me as I tried to calm my racing heart. Licking my lips I offered my hand to him.
'that was good-but' he took my hand jerking me down he pinned me under him his hand around my neck loosely holding no power. 'never stop when getting attacked' he hopped off of me as I sat up slowly. 'never let down your guard Sophia you hear me? The enemy can control someone, it would be your friend attacking you and no matter how much you don't want to attack back you do it because it could cost you your life' he warned.
Biting my lip I nodded slowly. 'but-'
'I know it would be hard but you'd have to fight to survive. I know it's a hard decision but if you second guess or slip up it could cost you your life Sophia. And then I or Tanner would have to kill the person who killed you'
Sighing deeply I nodded. 'how can the enemy control someone?'
Jordan sighed. 'a spell to implant memories, or a enchantment to erase memories for good to corrupt some ones thoughts.' He rolled his shoulders.
'o'
He nodded. 'its dark magic' he sighed deeply. 'something that was banded'
'why?'
He bit his lip before rolling his shoulders and sliding a hand through his hair. 'because the spell calls for the life of the witch that's casting the spell. The king and queen banded the spell and enchantment because the risk was to much'
'that's horrible' I muttered with a frown.
He nodded. 'yes but there are still those who practice the spell.' He sighed softly
'Why would they do that? If they knew they would die to cast the spell why still do it? why would you want to die like that?' I whispered softly with a frown. 'that's horrible.'
'because some people are twisted Sophia. Its dark magic and not many study it. Nikko and I studied it so we could reverse the spell.' He answered softly. 'and don't worry it just makes us tired is all.' He ruffled my hair making me smile at him. 'I think Ben got ice cream when he went shopping want to go get some?' I nodded as he grabbed my hand and led me down the hall.
'YOU SLUT' looking at Charlotte I clenched my hands into tight fists the urge to punch her was strong as Jordan slid his arm in front of me. 'Tanner wasn't enough for you? Now your taking my boyfriend!' she snarled through clenched teeth.
'Charlotte we broke up months ago, you should be in bed your going to reopen your stitches' he warned her making me flinch as I watched her white gown slowly get pinkish then turning red as she walked towards us. 'now look what you've done, Ben's going to have to stitch you up again!' he groaned as he walked forward picking her up she stuck her tongue out at me with narrow eyes.
'He's mine, you need to back off' she warned as he walked into a room. Hearing her scream and yell I kept myself in place till he walked out his shirt stained with her blood he looked worn out and tired again his eyes weary and sad.
'wh-what happened?'
'she's delusional that's what happened. I had to strap her down again don't worry about her a nurse was in there'
'but she could bleed out' I muttered with a frown.
'she disobeyed orders Sophia you cant feel sorry for her. She let that happen to herself she was ordered to stay in bed and not move but she didn't listen' he answered stiffly. Nodding slowly I glanced away. He had a point I guess.
'I guess your right'Â I muttered softly.

Licking the spoon I glanced up as Tanner strolled in glancing at the empty tubs of ice cream I blushed and pointed to Jordan. 'he did it'
He raised an eyebrow at me as he walked forward squatting down he grasped my chin tipping my head up to him. 'o really?'
I nodded. 'yup he did it'
He chuckled as his thumb flicked over the side of my mouth as he brought it to his lips licking away the chocolate ice cream he rolled his eyes at me. 'sure he did, you have chocolate all over your face baby'
I opened my mouth to object but Jordan was already waking up grunting he shot up making his bowl roll off of his stomach as he glanced at Tanner. 'dude she never stops.'
'busted' Tanner smiled as he stood up and offered me his hand. Taking it he helped me up. 'you know your going to have to clean that up right?' glancing around I frowned.
'I got it why don't you to go and leave' Jordan waved us off as he stood up with a yawn. 'my treat'
Grinning I nodded as I took Tanners hand. 'Magic Mike?'
'why so you can fantasize about him?' Tanner pretended to play jealous but I could tell he wasn't. 'I mean I got better moves that he does I can show you' his voice grew huskier sending shivers through me as he tugged me along side him.

Sighing softly I kept my arm around her as she shifted around yawning softly making a smile touch my lips. Running my fingers over her back her skin soft and smooth as she wiggled bring her body closer to mine.
I liked how her skin touched mine making me want to draw her closer to my chest to hold her closer to feel her skin brush against mine.
I wouldn't trade these moments for anything else. I wanted to stay like this with her in my arms her body pressed against mine as I listened to her heart beat. Soft and soothing as I my eyes grew heavy.
'Tanner are you up?' glancing into her eyes as she peeked up to me I nodded.
'ya'
She glanced away before looking back up at me. 'nothing' she muttered seconds later before she yawned again. 'were you watching me sleep again?' I nodded making her blush. 'you know you should get some sleep'
'I know, but I like watching you sleep Sophia. I like to listen to your heart beat calm and soothing. It calms me and makes me feel at peace' I admitted.
'I love you Tanner'
I grinned back at her. 'I love you too sweetie'
'Night Tanner' she curled closer sliding her body over mine till she was right on top. Her breasts pressed against my chest I almost groaned at the sight of her naked body as she rolled off of me her eyes shut lips parted stretching her back arched making the sheets slip lower down her chest sighing softly I pulled the sheets back up to her chin as I rolled onto my side pulling her to me she curled into me as I sighed softly

'Tanner' groaning I pushed whoever's hands away. 'Tanner wake up' a scream filled the air as my eyes snapped open growling at the sight of Zach barreling into the room as Sophia ran to the bathroom hopping out of bed I blocked his way his body slamming to mine as I shoved him back. 'TANNER!'
Keeping my eyes on Zach I lunged slamming my fist into his chin hoping I hit it in the right spot to knock him out. But I missed he stumbled a step or too before giving out a growl of anger his body slammed into mine his wolfs claws bit into my skin as Sophia's shrieks filled the air tearing at my heart as his hot sticky breath brushed against my neck. I couldn't move his weight was holding me there his two front paws holding my shoulders as he leaned in his muzzle burying down in my neck as her screams became fainter I couldn't breath pain held me there as I felt my blood ooze out of the bit mark as he pulled back shifting he smirked down at me my blood smudged on his lips.
'That's for touching what isn't yours' he snorted out through clenched teeth as everything went black
