Chapter 5

: Zachary/Darcy

Growling I looked over the men who were eyeing me curiously. Doubting what was happening. My wolf had striped Drakes of his power. He no longer held the power of a Alpha wolf in him.

'Alpha Drake wh-whats going on?' glancing at the men I sighed.

'Drake is no longer Alpha. I am Alpha' I finally announced. Not shocked at all by the wave of mummers that went through the men. 'You see I gave Drake the chance to watch over you all because frankly I don't like people. And two it was the only way I could protect my mate.' Another gasp.

Sniffing the air the nodding in acceptance. 'so is it true about the hybrids right?'

Nodding I sighed. 'Prince Darcy asked us to assist in tracking and killing these Hybrids. We have attacked ten females killing them all, as well as attacking ten males who where in pursuit of their mates.' I explained. 'and rumor has it that they are heading to our pack region as we speak. I already spoke to the mates and had them moved to the two pack houses I want twenty around those two houses three posted in front of my room. My mate and the Prince are in that room. Do you understand what I'm talking about?' nodding I sighed. 'the Thendor brothers I want you three to go to my room.  The rest well twenty of you I need you to go to the pack houses your job is to stop anything that comes near that house. Any rouge is to be killed on the spot I trained you all so I trust you know this means even if it kills you'

Nodding twenty left quickly as well as the Thendor brothers. Strongly built men they stood at 6'5 200 pounds of pure muscle. Sighing I turned my attention to the rest of the men.

'You, all of you will be with me and part of Darcy's pack we will be running over this region that is under our power. After each run we will have you posted through the land's I want the Elders moved somewhere safe in our dungeons' nodding they all sighed. 'None of us will get any sleep till they are all dead. We have mates that going insane.'

'which are here' glancing at Darcy as he pulled my mate in tow I gave a deep growl. Shrugging his arm off she moved to my side. Sliding her body against mine she rubbed my side. 'Don't give me that look Zachary the mates here are so close to ripping everyone's throat's out, if we unleash a crazed mate on the hybrids they wouldn't stand a chance.'

'I told you to stay in my room and watch over her damn it its unsafe for her out here' I hissed out in anger.

Sighing he rolled his eyes. 'I know that but I needed to tell you and I brought her along. A mangy Hybrid has nothing on a Ancient Wolf Zachary. You of all people should know that. Besides someone almost spilled the beans about something you wanted to be sealed away for a very long time' he answered with a growl.

Burying my face in her neck I sighed softly. 'very well. Let them be at the front of the line when the time comes. They will be able to take revenge on the men who killed their mates.' Nodding Darcy motioned his hand. Turning to the pack I looked over them. 'this is Your Alpha female the new Luna of the pack'

Tilting their head to the side they dipped their head.

'Luna my ass' glancing over at Bonnie I gave a growl.

'I thought I told Calvin to get rid of you' Darcy frown as he walked up to her. Turning her eyes to him she gave him a smile. Reaching his hand out he slid his hand around her throat and lifted her small body off the ground. Giving a sigh he quickly jerked his hand in the right way making her neck snap as her body went limp. Dropping her he brushed his hand off. 'there problem solved.' Glancing at me I raised an eyebrow. 'she was getting on my nerves. It's time to go SoSo' feeling Sophia sigh I gave he a small kiss.

'I'll see you later I posted the Thendor brothers at the door ok? Darcy will be with you till I get back ok sweetie?' groaning she gave a small nod.  'ok now go on'

'theres one problem.' Darcy sighed. 'I will have to assign my guards to protect her I need to be in the field when they come'

Growling I glared. 'that isn't what we planed.'

'I know that, I would like to stay with SoSo but I cant. I just found out in the room that the Hybrids teamed up with the Rouge society. And they have something I want back' he answered through grit teeth.

'and that is?'

'my little sister.' He answered roughly. 'they abducted my sister while I was away. They want something from me. something you cant give them. Brice and Taylor are as strong as me put together bred from a long line of protectors. Born to protect those of royally to the death. With the necklace I gave to  her yesterday night isn't just any locket. It's a royal jewel that is given to a lady in waiting. Someone who assists the Prince or Princess. In this case me, it gives her status in the Kingdom that's why I gave it to her so that my Guards have to protect her as they protect me because I hand picked her to be in that position.' He explained making me growl.

'Zachary' glancing at my mate I gave a deep sigh at the look she was giving me. a scolding that made me upset that I was upsetting her.

'get her to that bedroom right now. Darcy you will answer more later' nodding I let my mate walk away with two NFL looking guys walk with her one in front the other behind her I didn't like the idea of two males with her in my room but they were royal guards. Holding my breath for a second I let it all out with a whoosh as a scream filled the air looking around I flinched at the sight of Bonnie's sister running full speed towards my mate waving a gun. The Guard behind her grabbed my mate shoving her behind him as he braced himself to an attack as the other shifted mid run as he lunged at her as a gun shot went off the Guard that was attacking her sister took a step back before lunging for the throat a scream filled the air as his teeth sank through her soft skin blood quickly soaking her white shirt till her eyes rolled to the back of her head. Unclenching my fists I walked up to my mate and pulled her trembling body into my arms.

Rubbing her back she gave a shaky whimper of fear as she buried her tear streaked face into my chest. 'shh its ok. its ok' I whispered to her trying to sooth her as I gave a soft sigh.

'sh-she's dead' whimpering again I tipped her chin up to me. wiping her tears away I gave her a soft kiss feeling her relax into me. 'why?'

'that was Bonnie's sister. Most likely trying to get revenge sadly now we have to put her mate down because he's going to be rather upset about that.' I muttered with a frown as the wolf changed standing bare as the day he was born he glanced back at Darcy.

'what do I do with it?' he asked gruffly.

'Zachary what are we going to do with it?' Darcy muttered with a scrunched nose as he patted my mates hair. 'Don't cry sweetie all hoes must die' he said sarcastically making her give a little giggle. Glancing at him she looked back at the two guards.

'thank you for letting me use your guards till its over' she uttered to Darcy as she pulled away slightly.

Shrugging he smirked. 'eh I don't need them I'm bad ass enough without them'

Smirking at Sophia I gave her a cocky smile. 'eh I don't need them I'm bad ass enough without them' I answered simply as Zachary rolled his eyes. Cocking my head to the side I watched him closely as a chill went through me. there was something about him that was off. As well as the fact that Sophia wasn't the same. Sighing I tried to push that thought back as I glanced at my Guards.

"I want you guys to take Sophia back to the pack house and while your at it see if she can show you some things there." I ordered through thought. Nodding moved closer to Sophia.

'I guess I should go now right?' she asked with a small sigh. Nodding Zachary gave her a kiss. Watching her leave with them I turned my attention to my men.

"you are all to protect that woman" I ordered again through thought using my wolf to put authority knowing none would object because to deny me was to go against the kingdom.

"yes Prince Darcy"

Sighing again I thought about our situation.

'I want her burned along with Bonnie' Zachary barked out to two pack members. Quickly going to do as they where told I felt my wolf surface with a growl.

"I don't trust him" his raspy voice filled my mind making me sigh.

"and what don't you trust about him Kona" I growled back with a raised eyebrow

"his wolf, I know him. We know him but I cant place where. Do you remember when the south Kingdom fell?" asked curiously making me groan as a mist clouded my thoughts.

"Of course I remember my future queen was murdered in the uprising when the Queen and King where murdered why?" I demanded darkly hating the idea of knowing that my future wife was dead and I couldn't of done anything about it. growling I clenched my hands.

"well at least you haven't forgotten my mate" he whispered in a soft broken voice making me flinch. "anyways remember their rarity in blood lines how they where special"

"of course I know how special they where I trained with the King for five years Kona, I had to train to know what to do when it came time to mark my mate"  I answered in a hiss.

"the pendent you gave Sophia wasn't for the lady's in Waiting it was from the South Kingdom that belonged to my Mate" he answered roughly in a growl

"Audrey wouldn't of minded, she wouldn't of wanted me to keep the jewels locked away in the royal vaults she would of wanted someone to of  been able to enjoy them as much as she did. You know how she was" I whispered softly with a frown as I pushed him away. Focusing on other matters I looked over the men. My men  where positioned right of me knowing already what I wanted.

'my men I want ten of  you to go assist the twenty that are watching the pack houses five at both houses. I have my personal guards with pack Luna Sophia. Sense she is human I want you to be cautious with handling her if it comes to the point of having to move her somewhere else.' I growled out strongly making them nod.

Breaking off ten of my men left leaving me with thirty.

'Ok what else do we need Zachary?' I demanded as I continued to repress my wolf.

'How the hell should I know I'm only good at killing not saving' he answered dryly as he let his eyes trail over to Sophia's fading figure. 'I just want them dead. So lets just have five of my men and five of yours posted around the area to sound the alarm if they get through our people' he shrugged as he dragged his hand through his hair. Glancing at me momentarily he smirked.

Nodding I motioned to my men to listen.

'What am I to do just stay here?' Drake growled out with a pout.

'No you where meant to of been placed in a room like all the other mates. So leave' Zachary growled out roughly with narrowed eyes. His wolf throwing off a warning vibe that had my men glancing at me unsure. Shrugging I rolled my shoulders as I wandered away from him with a sigh.

"its about time you listened to me!" Kona growled out as I finally let him speak.

"you know for a future King wolf your obnoxious" I answered dryly as I sniffed the air.

"if you where listening to me you'd know that they have Sophia and the Thendor brothers" he answered in a hiss.

Feeling my blood run cold I forced myself to shake it off. "your just mad that I didn't talk to you my men where with her"

"you mean the two men that are dead?"  Kona answered confidently. Sniffing again I gave a curse as I caught Sophia's scent. Ripping my shirt off I let the change ripple over me as Kona took over. Landing on all four I gave a deep growl as I inhaled deeply taking off after her scent I flinched at the mingling scent of Brice and Taylors blood that was in the air.

Her scream filled the air as I gave a deep howl knowing my men would come quickly to my demand as I caught the Hybrids attention. Turning to me the group of men glanced from one another to me unsure as the leader with Sophia thrown over his shoulder eyed me.

"Kona" I warned as I forced him down. Changing I stood tall.

'who the hell are you?'

Scoffing I rolled my shoulders as I cocked my head to the side. 'I'm your Prince. You have my friend I want her back' grinning he smacked her ass making me growl in protest but a fear clutched Kona as he realized he couldn't really hear her breathing she was barely breathing the gag that was clenched between her teeth enraged me.

'this human? A friend of a werewolf? I have no Prince I have no King I am my own leader' he answered in a sneer with hatful eyes. 'she is a small prize that I won rightfully.'

'Sophia isn't a prize to be won when she's already been mated' blinking he quickly tossed her to another one of his men who barely got her in time before she hit the ground.

'She's human' he hissed out through clenched teeth his incisors flashing off as his lips pulled back revealing them.

'ya and so was your mother, or father Hybrid.' I answered bluntly eyeing them. I didn't see any silver the twenty here didn't look like much of a challenge. Glancing back at my men who where suddenly in battle I simply shrugged it off. I knew I had to get Sophia away from him through.

'its sick. She's just a girl' he answered in a snarl. 'And don't bring my parents into this they got what was coming to them when they chose their path of life.'

'who's mate is a werewolf, she's 17'

Growling deeper I chuckled softly.

'you hate your own kind even stole your future princess. But I can not allow you to take her' I answered roughly.

'I wouldn't bother with a Princess that's stuck up' he sneered as he glanced back at Sophia.  'Besides I'm saving her from a world of heart ach. That girl right there' he growled out. 'He's did some things that would scare this poor girl'

Blinking I raised an eyebrow. 'and how would you know'

"ya how would he know this" Kona demanded skeptically.

Chuckling he held out his arm as the other tossed her right back tossing her over his shoulder he threw something at my feet as a smoke filled the air making it hard to find him. Sniffing I scrunched my nose. 'Just watch that and you'll know' lunching forward I let Kona loose again only to find it hard to see as I took a step forward growling I gave a howl of frustration when I came up with nothing. I couldn't smell her or hear them. Tracking back to the place he had tossed something. Grabbing it I pressed a button as a video popped up.

Sophia was missing, she was gone Brice and Taylor was dead. Well almost dead, the wounds dealt to them where life threatening. Darcy hadn't shown up yet he was still missing. Growling I paced back and forth as I looked at the men.

'tell me again what happened?'  I demanded roughly.

'there was fifty hybrids along with twenty wolfs' Taylor breathed out in a flinch as he forced himself up. Pushing the nurse away he reached out and touched Brice's hand. Watching in a curious manor I watched the color float up his pale arm. 'Brice had Sophia stay close to him while I handled the hybrids. When I looked over one of the wolfs had gotten Brice by the shoulder. Sophia panicked and bolted back towards you screaming but the leader had appeared. I seen a grey smoke and everything in me went num and I lost control of my limbs. I couldn't do anything when he threw her over his shoulder and walked away. They planed this out Alpha' he smoothed his thumb over Brice's hand.

"their mates" my wolf Tallon whispered to me making me gulp

"males? That's unheard of" I murmured back to him as  he sat back letting his hand fall away to the side.

'what do you mean planed this their a bunch of half breeds' I scoffed.

'what I mean is they had their weakest attack us while the strongest stayed with the leader. The ones that survived where the wolfs' he growled out through clenched  teeth. 'the leader never wanted to get to the mated people of the pack'

'or they did plan on attacking our mated pack members, but had to change their plans last minute when they couldn't find the mates they where looking for.' I shrugged. 'but that's not the point! My mate was stolen and your Prince is-'

'here' glancing at the door I raised an eyebrow. 'I tracked them just as the left. The leader had Sophia but he used some smoke to make her scent disappear I couldn't trace her' he grit his teeth and clenched his hands. 'I couldn't save her'

'shes still alive?'  I let out a released breath

'Yes for now, he said he was saving her from a world of pain' he muttered with a growl.
