"How do you keep winning?" Jack groaned, sinking back into the couch, his gaze fixed on the TV screen where it proclaimed Peach as the victor in Mario Kart. He shot Willow a playful, accusatory look. "Are you cheating?"
Willow couldn't help but laugh, rolling her eyes in amusement. "How can you cheat in Mario Kart?" she replied. "Ain't my fault you're bad at racing."
Mario Kart had been her brother's favorite game, and she had spent years honing her skills.
"It's because you keep throwing things at me," he complained, tossing the console onto the table before rummaging through a box of games. "There must be one you suck at," he mumbled, his lips curving into a playful smirk. As always he smelled really good, it had become comforting in a sense though she felt a little lightheaded due to knowing why he smelled of peppermint. Even his own scent who was heavy in his room was comforting, making her lean back in the black couch with a loud sigh. "Am I boring you that much?" Jack teased, his eyes twinkling with amusement as he picked out a combat game.
"No, I'm just having fun," Willow replied, giving him a warm smile.
"Well, I am excellent company," he quipped, settling into a comfortable black chair and placing a bottle of coke in front of her. Willow took the bottle, catching another whiff of his scent. It had been far too long since he had eaten, and she could see the hunger in his dark eyes as he watched her, seemingly unable to control it.
"You should have told me you were hungry," she mumbled, her concern for him overpowering any awkwardness. His gaze, filled with longing, was fixed on her, and she felt her body respond involuntarily to his unspoken need.
Unable to resist, she got up from the couch and walked toward him. Every fiber of her being seemed attuned to him in that moment. She couldn't help it, whenever he looked at her like that her body moved on its own.
He reached out his hand, and without hesitation, Willow allowed him to pull her down onto his lap, straddling him. The coldness of his body beneath her sent shivers down her spine
Jack's thumb gently rubbed her hand before sliding up her arm to her neck, his touch delicate yet possessive. She leaned closer, a mixture of anticipation and longing pulsing through her. Her heartbeat quickened, sending blood coursing through her veins, and she knew he could sense it, feel it calling to him. His lips pressed against the raised scars on her neck, and a soft gasp escaped her as the sensation sent tremors through her body. Her fingers clenched the fabric of his black shirt.
His fangs grazed the sensitive skin of her scars, and she arched her neck, granting him better access, a low growl of satisfaction rumbling from his chest as they pierced the skin and his grip tightened around her waist. Jack's fingers began to pull at the hem of her blue t-shirt, and she felt it slide upward, the warm air brushing against her skin. Simultaneously, she slipped her own fingers beneath the fabric of his shirt, tracing the contours of his toned torso. He pulled away from her neck, and his lips began working over her jaw towards her lips, but before they could touch a voice abruptly rang out, shattering the moment, as someone banged on the door.
"Jack! Willow!" Daisy's voice yelled, making Willow pull back from him so quickly that she almost tumbled off his lap. She would have fallen if he hadn't caught her by the waist, steadying her. "Marek is done making pastries for movie night," Daisy informed them from outside the room.
"We're coming when the game is over," Jack called out, his voice strained with both annoyance and lingering desire. Willow buried her face in his chest, trying to catch her breath and regain her composure as the intense feelings slowly abated.
Movie night, Willow thought, she had almost forgot that Darlia had asked everyone to stay in tonight to watch some movie.
"Fuck me" she groaned, irritated the sensation had overtaken her again. She felt Jack chuckle, before she leaned back and looked in at his eyes slowly turning back to the familiar blue.
" whenever I see that look in your eyes and know it's because of me I get this amazing sense of superiority." His fingers caressed her jaw, causing her cheeks to flush red. They both shared a moment of wide-eyed surprise at his words before he quickly stood up, almost tossing her off his lap while clearing his throat. " like, I know I'm handsome but seeing the proof is just so satisfying." he added, laughing as he helped her up and into a nearby chair.
"Haha," she mumbled, her fingers instinctively touching the bite wound on her neck. Jack retrieved a bandage from his closet, and as he gently applied it, the softness of his fingers almost overrode the lingering burning sensation caused by the aphrodisiac still lingering in her system. She couldn't help but dig her nails into her legs.
Clearing his throat, Jack stood up. "We better head downstairs before Daisy comes back," he suggested, his eyes locking onto hers. "Or are your legs still wobbly?" He couldn't resist a teasing smirk.
"If it wasn't because it would be a sin to throw a PlayStation 5 after you I would." She grumbled but didn't get up because she wasn't actually sure her legs would hold her. She fiddled with the pendant nervously.
By Death, one day they're not gonna be lucky enough for something to disrupt them.
He looked at her for a second before he started cracking his fingers and stretching.
"Well it has been a while since we last fought, let me get into the right mood."
She stared at him for a moment as he stretched, then couldn't help but burst into laughter. "You are such an ass, you know that?"
Willow took Jack's hand, and they found themselves on one of the cozy couches in front of the TV in the living room. Jack settled beside her, and the coffee table in front of them was loaded with a tempting array of snacks. Aina and Fahima engaged in a lively discussion about which movie to watch, while Vadim and Ikuto found available seats around the television. Willow shifted closer to Jack to make room for Ian, though she couldn't deny the strange fluttering sensation in her gut as their shoulders brushed against each other.
It was days ago they had been at the beach, days spend with playing video games, watching movies with the girls and one soul being brought to Heaven where she met those ZÃkerons again. Darlia in those days had talked about wanting to bring people together for a night, so when she suggested it yesterday had everyone jumped at the idea to do a movie night with tons of snacks and movies. Willow had gotten the others to agree to watch one of the old movies she grew up with called Sissi since everyone would understand so Jack and her had earlier been to Germany to find one of the movies. And to stock up on Cocio, which Jack had suggested so he didn't need to keep coming back to pick some up for her which had made her feel some type of way he did that for her.
Slowly everyone appeared and settled into a seat.
He reached over to the table and grabbed a plate and filled it with mint chocolate and sour worms and plumbed the plate in Willow lap, taking a few sour worms and threw them into his mouth.
"So, what are we watching?" Lina finally broke the silence, turning her attention to the girls as Darlia appeared and settled into a comfortable chair.
"We are starting the night up with the movie the conjuring 2." Aina smiled. A few groans of protest sounded from the group, and Willow felt her stomach churn. "Oh, come on it's a good movie."
"We have watched like four times the last few months." Vadim scoffed, causing Aina to roll her eyes as she prepared to play the movie. Willow may have been able to somewhat watch the old version of It, but she still hates horror movies and always get nightmares afterwards.
As the movie progressed, Willow found herself instinctively hiding against Jack's shoulder. Eventually, he reached out and held her hand, allowing her to squeeze it tightly whenever something terrifying occurred on the screen.
Fortunately, the rest of the night's movie choices were less horrifying, and it was all fun until around four in the morning when people began to retire to their bedrooms.
"If I knew you was such a scaredy cat I had told Aina no horror movies," he chuckled as they headed for their bedrooms. Willow gave him a playful shove.
"I think my life is a horror movie enough as it is, reaper." She snorted as she headed towards her door. She entered her own room, changed her clothes for a pair of red pajama shorts and a black tank top, and then walked out onto the balcony. Without hesitation, she entered Jack's room and found him lounging on the bed, a knowing look in his eyes.
"Move Luna, the real cat is taking your place," he took her from the pillow as Willow went under the covers feeling a sense of comfort and security being close to him.
