"Mizuki, we're going to be late you idiot!" Eren yelled frantically from their bedroom as his husband took his sweet sweet time in the bathroom.
"You're worrying too much, sweetheart." Mizuki called back and Eren groaned.
After a few more minutes Mizuki finally came out of the bathroom with a charming smile, hoping to gain Eren's forgiveness but there was still a harsh glare on his face.
"Eren." Mizuki softly cooed as he wrapped his husband in his arms. "Why are you worrying so much? Everything will be fine, we've been preparing for this day for months now."
"What if he's not happy? What if he doesn't want to be with us? What if he wants to leave?" Eren asked and Mizuki's heart tightened at the sound of fear in his sweetheart's voice.
"Eren, he loves us as much as we love him and you remember how happy he was when we told him the news." Mizuki reminded him and Eren hummed as he let himself melt in Mizuki's arms.
"Sorry, I'm just a little bit worried. I want everything to be perfect for Jhae." Eren murmured and Mizuki smiled as he pressed a gentle kiss on Eren's head.
"Come on, let's go get our son." Mizuki said and Eren grinned as he grabbed his arm and they left their room.

"Jhae, they're here!" Liandra called out and soon little footsteps thundered down the stairs and a small body appeared.
Mizuki and Eren both grinned at the small 6 year old boy who was staring at them with the brightest eyes and largest smile and Eren opened his arms when Jhae came rushing to hug him.
"You came!" He screamed and Mizuki hushed him so he wouldn't bother the other children in the orphanage.
"Of course we did." Eren said as he crouched down and ruffle Jhae's dark hair.
"Are you ready to come home with us, little prince?" Mizuki asked and Jhae's face brightened at the nickname.
"Yes! I'm so excited." Jhae said. "I've been counting the days till I can go home with you."
"Well today is the day." Eren said as he picked up Jhae and propped him on his hip as they faced Liandra, the head of the orphanage.
"Can we take him now?" Eren asked.
"Yes, Your Majesty. All the arrangements are done and Jhae is officially Jhae Hayashi-Acosta as of today." She said and all three of them grinned widely after hearing the name.
After Jhae went and said goodbye to his friends with a promise of visiting them whenever he could, he came rushing back to his parents and this time Mizuki picked him up, and all of them left the orphanage ready to start their lives together.
Eren felt his throat tightened as he gazed at his love holding their kid in his arms. He felt so happy and proud of how far his little family had come along.
He remembered the first time he met Jhae a year ago. He used to live with his mom, his father had passed away in the war but then she had fallen very very ill and soon she passed away as well leaving Jhae alone.
As soon as Eren had heard the news he had went to visit Jhae at the orphanage and he felt his heart shatter at the tears that were streaming down his face as he cried for his mother. Eren had spent the whole day trying to get Jhae to talk to him and finally Jhae had slowly moved closer to Eren and then he hugged him as he cried harder.
He refused to let go of Eren and Eren didn't complain as the child climbed on his lap and settled there. He held the small boy in his arms for hours and ever since he would come visit Jhae every week as both of them had grown attached to one another.
Mizuki would accompany Eren and soon he and Jhae had formed a bond of their own. On the days that Eren would be too busy Mizuki would come instead bearing gifts and treats for Jhae and the other kids.
Mizuki and Eren had been talking about adopting for a while now. After all, it's been almost two years since their wedding and they wanted to grow their family. When they met Jhae they both knew they wanted him to be a part of their family. They wanted to give Jhae the home and love he deserves.
They wanted to do it before they go visit Rivania for Rin's coronation which would take place in two weeks.
The peace between Yarisha and Rivania had been maintained very well over the last couple of years and Eren and Mizuki were doing a wonderful job restoring Yarisha's rules and regulations. The crime rates had gone down and the people were finally fully starting to become more open.
So many women were now trained warriors and a lot less people were against relationships that don't only consist of a man and a woman. Yarisha started their own little festivals and parties and it was becoming such a more open and festive country.
The country gave Mizuki the same amount of respect they gave Eren and so many people would go to him with their problems. Mizuki had truly won the heart of practically every single citizen.
"Eren." Eren snapped out of his thoughts and turned to look at Mizuki and Jhae who were both staring at him.
"You're going the wrong way, love." Mizuki chuckled and he grabbed Eren's hand and started steering him with them.
After another fifteen minutes of walking they finally reached the spot where Asami, Arlen's partner, was finishing the set up that they were instructed to do by Eren.
"Asami." Eren called out to them and they turned around and smiled at the trio.
"Your Majesty." They bowed their head before waving at Jhae. "Everything is ready."
"Thank you so much." Mizuki thanked them and with a few more words of chatter they left the family alone.
"Is this a picnic?" Jhae asked as Mizuki set him down and he glanced at everything with wide eyes.
They found a quiet spot in the area where they draped a large blue sheet under an oak tree. On the sheets were countless of Jhae's favourite food and snacks along with juice. There were a few games and balls along with Eren's violon since both Mizuki and Jhae adored it when Eren played for them.
"Yes it is a picnic." Eren answered with a chuckle. "Do you like it?"
"I love it, Eren!" Jhae said as he hugged Eren's legs before running over to sit down on the blanket.
It had taken a while for Jhae to drop the formalities but after a lot of insisting he started calling Eren and Mizuki by their name.
Mizuki and Eren both sat next to Jhae and they sorted out his food for him before both grabbing a few fruits to eat. They watched contentedly as Jhae started eating a bit of everything.
Jhae started telling them a bunch of stories of his time at the orphanage and both of his parents paid attention and occasionally asked him a few questions or added comments.
When they finally finished eating everything Jhae grabbed one of the balls and screamed at Eren and Mizuki to stand up which they did with a chuckle.
They played around with the balls, throwing it in the air and Mizuki smacking Eren's head with it making the latter chase him around all while Jhae laid on the floor, a laughing mess.
Eventually Jhae got tired and sat back down as he begged Eren to play the violin for them and Eren smiled as he agreed.
"Here you go, baby." Mizuki said as he handed Eren's his violin and quickly kissed his cheek while Jhae was looking away.
Eren got in position and then he started to play for his family. Jhae yawned and climbed on Mizuki's lap, his head resting on Mizuki's stomach and he snuggled closer as Eren continued to play.
When Eren was sure Jhae was completely asleep he stopped playing and after putting away his violin he crawled to Mizuki and rested his head on his shoulder.
"Are you happy, sweetheart?" Mizuki asked in a hushed tone.
"Of course I'm happy, my love. I have you and now we have Jhae. There's nothing more in the world that I could possibly ask for." Eren answered.
"I love you, baby." Mizuki said, turning his head to softly kiss Eren.
"I love you more." Eren mumbled after they pulled away.

Tbh I'm not the most happy with the last few chapters as I know I could have done better but I hope someday I find the motivation to come back to edit and add a few things. This was a first draft like all of my other stories on wattpad and I really do wanna rewrite a lot of things one day.
