Chapter 34 of 50

That One Night...

♡♡ That One Night ♡♡

My heart pounded in my ears as I watched Jasper drive my truck. I had no idea where he was going, or what our plan was. I think he was making this up as he went along.

"Where are we going?" I asked softly, not wanting to stress him anymore than he already was.

"The Cullens' house. We are going to park your truck there, so they can't track it to us or to Charlie. From there we hide until morning." He explained absentmindedly. He never took his eyes off the road.

I nodded my head, relieved to know a little bit about our plan.

We pulled down the Cullens driveway, and Jasper hid my truck in some of the trees. He walked around and helped me out of the passenger side. I thought we might go into the house to talk to the Cullens, but instead he knelt down.

"Get on."

I did what he asked, climbing onto his back into a sort of piggyback. I held onto his shoulders so I wouldn't fall off. He rushed into the forest with me on his back. I closed my eyes as wind rushed past my face.

We came to the edge of town and stopped at a small bed and breakfast. I had never seen it before, which was surprising. Forks wasn't very big.

We walked inside the warm building. Jasper walked right past the woman at the front desk, leading me further into the building. He lead me to a room at the end of the hall. I realized that he must have been staying here this whole time.

He turned his key in the lock and we walked in. The room was tiny, only able to fit a queen sized bed, a dresser, and the door to the closet.

"They shouldn't find us here." Jasper promised, sitting down on the end of the bed.

I sat down next to him, "Have you been staying here this whole time?" I inquired.

He shrugged, "Just the past couple months. The woman here, Denise, gives me a discount. Guess she figures I'd be homeless without it, and, I mean, she isn't wrong."

He leaned back onto his bed and pulled out his phone. He quickly tapped a few buttons and his phone began to ring. It was answered almost instantly. A certain pixies voice picked up on the other line.

I only heard bits and pieces. "We've... everything taken care of. Swan residence... secure. Bella's scent... distributed. The wolves are... Going well..." Alice's chiming voice rang in his phone.

Jasper seemed pleased with what was said, "Is there a safe place for Bella to stay while we fight?"

"Yes... tent... stay with one of... named Seth." She answered.

"I'm not trusting a wolf alone with her." Jasper said seriously.

"You can't... need you."

He sighed in frustration, "What about Rose?"

My stomach tightened at that. If Rosalie was going to stay with me, then tomorrow was going to be very long. Not only would I be worried about Jasper, but I'd have to deal with her... personality.

"I'll try... won't be easy... can't promise anything." Alice said sounding just as stubborn.

"Fine. Call me if anything changes."

"Will do." She answered and hung up. Apparently she was done with their conversation.

"Everything going okay?" I asked, even though I already knew the answer.

"Yeah, the plan seems to be working." He said taking a breath of relief.

"That's good." I said moving myself next to him.

I wrapped my arms around his waist, and inhaled his scent. He rolled to face me pulling me closer. I moved my arms up around his neck, leaving our faces inches apart.

"Isabella Swan, who's idea was it to leave me in this room alone with you?" He asked a playful grin forming on his face. I knew he was trying to distract himself instead of plaguing himself with worry, and I was honestly more than willing to be that distraction.

"It's Bella, and you know it." I teased.

He cocked one eyebrow, "Do I?"

"Mhm," I hummed. I gave him a soft peck on the lips, and pulled away. "I've only told you what... ten times? I am your girlfriend, you should know this stuff."

"Maybe I forgot. I might just need a reminder." He smirked.

I snickered, "Jasper Whitlock, what are you suggesting?"

His smirk just grew in size, before he captured my lips with his. My heart was beginning to race as more and more clothing began to be removed.

I was awoken by the soft sunrise hitting my face from the small window. I was trying to figure out if last night was real or just a wild fantasy I had dreamt up. The first thing I noticed was the hard, cold skin I was lying atop. Jasper was looking down at me with deep interest, brushing his fingers through my hair. The second thing I noticed was just how sore my entire body was. It felt like I had run a marathon. The last thing I noticed was mine and Jasper's apparent... nudity.

Oh, so it hadn't been a dream then.

I felt my face flush as I thought back on it. It had been the best night of my life. Everything had been so intense. Every feeling and emotion were crushing. I could only imagine how Jasper's inhanced senses had effected it. All I knew was that it was the closest to true euphoria I had ever been.

"Goodmorning," I greeted Jasper with a smile on my face.

"Morning darling," He chuckled, "you're in a good mood."

"Of course I am. Why wouldn't I be?" I was suddenly slightly nervous. Did he not feel the same about last night?

"Fair point, last night was remarkable, " He grinned widely. "How are you feeling, my love? I wasn't too er... rough, was I? It was a lot harder to control myself than I thought it would be." He said turning more serious.

"I'm fine. A little sore, but no worse for ware." I admitted.

He nodded his head and kissed my cheek, "Good. Now don't try anything else. I have to keep a clear head for the battle."

"I'm not the one who tries things, mister." I folded my arms over his chest and let my chin rest on top of them.

"What're you talking about? You're doing it right now."

I giggled, "What could I possibly be doing?"

"You're being too sexy." He chuckled and kissed my lips. "Now come on, let's get going before we... lose track of time."

Well here's the next chapter. I hope you all enjoyed. I've been putting this chapter off for a while now because I wasn't sure how to go about the sex scene. I didn't want to write complete smut because that's not what this book is (that and I've never exactly experienced straight sex, so it's out of my comfort zone.) Was this just enough to satisfy you horny people? (JK I love you guys.) Was it too much? Maybe in the future I'll write a separate little book with the full scene, let me know if that's something you'd be interested in.

Anyway, have a good day!

Thanks for reading! x
