(Jason's POV)
I feel Katherine tense and hear her heartbeat pick up.
Immediately, I knew something was wrong.
I slowly pulled away from the hug and looked at her, worried.
"What's wrong?" I ask anxiously.
"Nothing" she replies, giving me a reassuring smile but I can tell something was wrong.
"Katherine, I'm your brother so please don't lie to me. What's wrong?" I ask again softly.
She runs a hand through her hair and I wait patiently for her to speak up.
She sighs before speaking.
"What happened to him? What happened to Mr Collins?" She finally says.
My body immediately becomes rigid and my hands turn into fists.
Regret fills her eyes.
"No, you don't have to answer that. Never mind I asked" she rushes out, looking down at her lap.
I let out a breath, that I didn't know I was holding, and looked down at the ground, thinking.
She deserves to know.
"No. You have a right to know" I speak up, giving a soft smile in which she returns.
I then start to explain everything, although my body continues to stay a little rigid.

(Flashback)
I growl as I see the little house in front of me.
I knew that he didn't break it down. After all, he has decieved all of us so why wouldn't he lie?
That f*cking d*ckhead!
"No one attack him if you see him. He's mine" I growl out and the others nod their heads in understanding.
There seems to he no rogues guarding the house but I can smell his scent inside.
He must've thought that I wouldn't be able to figure it out.
I concentrate on my hearing and eyesight, trying to hear any sounds or any movement coming from the house, but there was nothing.
I know he is in there since his scent is very strong and concentrated, but I want to be 100% sure that he is, in fact, in there.
Then I see it.
The curtain to the right, covering the window, lifted. It lifted the slightest bit but it was enough for someone to peep in.
I know that he saw me.
"Come on son. You've come to save Katherine have you? Well, you won't get her because she's mine! Why not come in here and face me yourself?" he says through the mind link.
At this, I feel my eyes go competely black and know my wolf is completely taking over.
I rush forward towards the house and crash into the door, letting it fly open and hit the wall.
I step into the house, growls leaving my body, and I scan the area.
I sniff the air and walk into the next room, where his scent is strongest.
I thunderous growl rips through me as I look at his smirk and his relaxed posture.
I can he be so calm after what he did!?
It just made my wolf angrier.
"Well, come on mutt. After all, you have come here to save her...to save Katherine."
His smirk grows bigger.
I lunge at him, growling, and knowvk him to the ground.
I punch him, but he blocks it and rolls us over and puches me in return.
I quikly roll us over but he rolls us again and we end up rolling on the floor.
We eventually roll down the stairs and hit the steel door at the bottom of the stairs.
I get up quikly and we both start growling at eachother.
I run at him and puch him against the door, using my werewolf strength, and the door comes of the hinges.
He falls to the ground and quikly gets up as the door hits a wall, inside the room, and a scream is heard.
Katherine.
At this, my anger gorws and I lunge at him again and we both start rolling, on the floor, into the room, punching each other and trying to get in a dominant position over the other.
We both grunt at the effort but eventually I'm underneath him and he's ontop of me.
He punches me but I manage to block most of them but also recieve some painful ones.
I quikly use my legs to switch our positions and I'm now ontop of him throwing punches.
We both have similar wounds but he seems to have more as he has recieved more blows.
He seems to have had enough so he uses his legs to push me off him, causing me to fly through the air and hit a wall.
Anger consumes my whole being and I can feel my eyes turning completely black as my wolf takes over.
A gasp is heard in the room and it seems to egg my wolf on more at the acknowledgment that Katherine was here and she was frightened.
I could hear her heat pounding rapidly against her chest and every cell in my body wanted to take her to safety, but that can only happen if I kill him.
I look at him and we are both breathing heavily.
His eyes turn a little black, telling me his wolf is also slowly taking control, but not as much as mine has.
"I should've known it was you!" I scream amd my wolf lets out a growl.
James just chuckles coldly and from the corner of my eyes I see Katherine shiver.
"Well son, you didn't...did you?" he mocks.
Me and my wolf growl and take a step forward.
"I am not your son anymore. You lost your son when you hurt the memebers of my pack as well as hurting Katherine!"
"Do not talk about my mate! She is mine and no man will talk about her! Not even my own son, or there will be consequences!" he screams.
I feel my eyes turn even more darker and my wolf takes even more control as a snarl rips through my throat.
"Get it through your f*cking twisted mind Collins! She's not your mate! She's not mum!"
He merely smirks at me and says nothing.
I hear Katherine's heartbeat pick up evenmore and I know he's going to say something I wouldn't like.
"Who said your mother was my mate?" he finally whispers.
My body becomes rigid at his words.
"W-what? What do you mean?" I ask as I feel my eyes slowly turn back to their blue colour.
"You know, I still remember telling her that if she didn't do what I said then I would hurt everyone she loves. How she begged me not to hurt them and how she screamed all night, telling ne to stop, when we...uh, well you get the point," he says with no shame apparent in his voice and shrugs his shoulders nonchalantly.
Anger cosumed my body once again and my eyes were turning black once more as my wolf takes over.
"You raped her!" my wolf snarls as my body shakes uncontrollably, "you raped your own f*cking mate!"
"She stopped being my mate the second she betrayed me! A mate is supposed to be faithful and pleasure their other half, but she couldn't even get that right! But now...I have Katherine."
I hear her breath hitch as she hears those words and my eyes immediately move to her.
I look into her eyes and see pure terror and fear coursing through them.
My eyes turned completely back, meaning my wolf had taken complete control and I had none, and he let out a thunderous growl.
My body moved abnormally and clicks filled the air as I began shifting.
I was now a pure blck wolf with piercing blue eyes.
"Wait. Do we have have to kill him? I don't want to kill him out of anger, it's not right" I say to my wolf.
"We have to! After everything he did he doesn't deserve to live! What makes you think he'll leave any of us alone if we let him go? What makes you think that he won't leave Katherine alone?"
I remain quiet.
He was right. He wouldn't leave any of us alone if he lived. He'd come and seek revenge. He wouldn't leave Katherine alone.
I silently gave my wolf permission.
One thing ran through my wolfs and my mind: No mercy.
I jump onto James' body and he falls to the ground with me ontop of him.
My wolf bites into his shoulder, before removing a chunck of it.
He then bited his arm and Collins screams in agony.
By now, he is losing too much blood to shift.
Me and my wolf don't like the fact that he won't even try and fight for his life.
His death won't be easy.
My wolf gets off him, growling, before taking a few steps back.
"Shift!" I growl through the mind link but all he does is cough out blood, slowly trying to sit up.
"I-I c-can't" he breaths out, panting.
My wolf growls in anger.
He lunges on him again and this time aims for his thigh, and rips a chunck out.
Collins start spluttering out more blood and breaths heavily for oxygen.
"Go on...k-kill m-me. Kill me l-l-like h-how I k-killed y-your pothe-tic excuse o-of a mother" he says with a sneer on his face.
And that's exactly what my wolf and I do.
My wolf bites into his neck, hard, and he struggles underneath our body before completely becoming still.
My wolf growls one last time and steps away from the body before giving me back full control.
I immediately shift into my human form and turn to see my other pack memebers behind me, where the door had come off its hinges.
Dean stepped forward and passed me some shorts and I quikly put them on.
I then rushed towards where Katherine was, lying unconscious on the dirty mattress.
"How is she?" Dean whispers.
I caress her cheeck and see bruises and cuts along her wrists.
A growl leaves me.
"Help me take these off."
Both off us take all the chains off of her before I pick her up and carry her bridal style.
"We should get out of here. Mindlink the pack doctor and tell her to come over to my place. Then I want you to take care of demolishing this house" I say.
He nods and I make a move forward but his voice stops me.
"Um Jason? What shall we do with...?" he trails off, but I knew what he was asking.
"I want you to burn it and then scatter the ashes far away from here."
"Okay" he says, nodding his head.
I give him a slight nod before making my way to my place, where Dr. Anderson will be waiting.
(End of flashback)

"That's what happened" I finished explaining.
I stared at her shocked face as she processed everything I said.
You could see a million thoughts running through her eyes, but there was only one though one mine: Will I lose my sister because of this...because she will now think I'm a monster?
"Please say something" I whisper.
"Y-y-you killed him" she states looking me in the eyes, no emotion passing through them.
I run my hand through my hair, glancing away from her eyes, before looking back at her.
I open my mouth to explain but stop when arms wrap around me neck.
I tensed at the content and in shock before slowly relaxing.
"I know why you did what you did. You did it because it was the only way he'd actually leave me alone, actually leave all of us alone. You did it to protect me and to protect everyone else. For that, I am thankful" she whispers.
I hold onto her for a couple of more seconds before releasing her.
A small smile graces her lips and, in return, one graces mine.
"Thank you for understanding it in my point of view" I say.
"It's cool. After all, I can't lose my big bro just yet and rebel against him, can I?" she teases with a sly smirk.
I chuckle at her behaviour.
(Katherine's POV)
A knock is then heard in the room and we turn our attention to the living room door.
Becky stood there with a hesitant smile towards me.
"I'm sorry Alpha, but I let myself in" she whispers, speaking to Jason but keeping her eyes focused on me.
I also keep my eyes focused on her.
"It's fine. I'll give you guys a moment together" Jason speak up before making his way out of the living room after Becky steps in.
I stand up, from where I am sitting on the sofa, and face her crossing my arms.
I glare at her.
"I know what I did was wrong but will you let me explain please?" she sighs.
"Let you explain what. That you lied to me, about what you are, even after when we were little amd promised each other that we'd tell each other everything" I speak up.
I wasn't angry, just sad and dissapointed.
I told them everything and I kept the promise, but Becky and all the other girls broke it.
How do I know they're not keeping anything else from me and havn't lied to me about anything?
"I know, okay? And I'm really really sorry Katherine but we couldn't tell you, or any humans for that fact. It'd mean exposure to the our race" she tries to explain but it only makes the situation worse.
"So you think that if you told me I'd start blabbering about it to everyone, everywhere I go? Is that what you really think? I thought that if one person knew me, it would've been you" I tell her, looking away from her while shaking my head.
She rushes towards me and is now standing in front of me, holding me by the arms.
"It's not that Katherine. You and I both know that I trust you with my life. If I told you, then that would mean that you would've been in danger. Rogues and other packs would try and kidnap you to get to us."
At this, I understood.
If I was in her position I would've done the same thing. I would've done anything to keep her safe, even if I were to brake a promise.
I slowly looked up at and literally jumped into her arms and hugged her.
We both laughed and continued to laugh before I pulled away.
"It's cool I guess. I would've done the same thing if I was you. But now, you have to promise me that this time you'll actually keep the promise."
"I promise, and this time I swear that I won't break it."
"You better not. Or I will chop Jay's d*ck off and you guys will never be able to have children" I state.
She's about to speak but a voice interrupts her.
"Heeeeyyyyy! Why do you have to chop my d*ck off because she was the one to break the promise?" Jay asks, walking into the room along with Bethany, Ruby, Sebastian and Ronnie.
"Because I don't like you and I love her" I deadpan.
"Oooooooooo burn!" Ronnie says.
Everyone burst out laughing and Jay just pouts.
I chuckle, walking over to him.
"Awwwww Jay, you know I love you. Don't worry" I say, hudding him.
"Yeah yeah yeah, sure" he says, rolling his eyes while hugging me.
I pull away and speak.
"But that still doesn't mean your d*ck is safe" I say in a sweet voice.
He looks at me flabbergasted and I continue to smile sweetly.
"So Kath, how are you?" Bethany says smiling.
I skake my head, my lips in a tight line.
"What's wrong?" Ruby asks with a frown.
"Before anyone else does anything, you all need to promise that we will tell each other anything and no more lies. I mean it. That goes for the boys too" I say while pointing at each one of them.
They all clear they're throats and raise their tight hand.
"We promise" they speak in unison and I nod my head in approval.
"Now that's over, group hug! I've missed you all! You know how long it's been since I've seen you guys!" I scream, stretching my hands out and they all chuckle at my behaviour before moving forward.
"That goes for you too Jason! I know you can hear me" I scream one last time before I see him rush into the room and immediately engulf me.
After he engulfs me, everyone else follows suit.
As we hug eachother I can't help but think: this is my family.
