I stuff my hands in my jeans pocket as I enter the cafe, the decor of the place always drew me in. It was cozy and very home like. The wooden seats and the vintage posters gave it a homey look which I'd love to come back to every day. I sat down on my usual spot ordering a caramel latte and opening my laptop.

"Her Midnight Hair." Nobody except Bryan knew the little writer within me. I had been working on my very first book, based off the only girl I think of, Azalea. Everything about her is so stupefying, her every detail and act is just so enduring to watch. I'm madly in love, ain't I?

I smile to myself as I type away on my laptop, the draft was basically my heart poured into words. I loved how I could so freely write what I felt. The bell of the cafe door jingled but my eyes were fixated on the laptop and focus unwavering.

I never noticed how you walked in with equal grace and a smile plastered on your face as you slid in the seat next to me. You nudged my shoulder and my eyes met yours, I was frozen. In a swift move I shut my laptop but you seemed to notice it as your eyebrows furrowed.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked, my eyes never leaving your gorgeous face. Your smile returned as you shifted a bit afar so that there was a safe distance between us. "I didn't you'd be here. It's nice to see you again." You admitted, biting your bottom lip, were you flustered?

"Thank you Azalea. For speaking up for me yesterday, you didn't have to do it." I confessed, smiling awkwardly.

"Why so? They were being really harsh towards you." Your eyes filled with concern and sincerity, you were an angel.

"They always do, I just ignore them."

"Carson, don't hear their bullshit when you have the option to kill them with kindness." My eyes widened for a fraction of a second before all the blood rushed to my cheeks as you so easily pronounced my name, it send jitters down my spine.

I bit on my bottom lip as I smiled at you, your eyes twinkling with something I'll never get used to, warmth.

"So, do you wanna grab lunch together? or do something fun?" You asked, intentionally grabbing my laptop and smoothly keeping it back in my bag, you slung it on your shoulder.

"Sure, but why? what's the occasion?" I asked, standing up myself.

"For the sake of old time, Mallow." You chuckled, buy my eyes bulged out, did you even know the meaning of mallow?

"Do you even know what mallow signifies?" I asked mockingly as we walked out of the cafe.

"Nope, I just like the ring of it." You admitted, snickering again.

I smiled, knowing that you said it unknowingly. Knowing that you just signified me as 'consumed by love'.
