CHAPTER 959
Pursuing My Ex-Wife Isnât Easy chapter 959
Luna snorted in indignation, then turned around, intending to leave.
Seeing that she was about to leave, Joshua furrowed his brows and grabbed her wrist. âWhere are you
going?â
âI donât have anything to talk to Ms. Blake about, â replied Luna as she flung Joshuaâs hand away. âAt
first, I didnât understand why you, the most powerful man in Banyan City, couldnât seem to find anyone
else to donate blood to your precious Ms. Blake, apart from Nigel.
âBut I understand now. The reason you wanted no one else apart from Nigel is simply that heâs my son,
right?â
Lunaâs icy tone felt like a sharp blade against Joshuaâs heart. âThe reason Fiona got into the accident
was that you had a fight. Thatâs why youâre trying to get on her good side now. You forced my son to
donate blood to her because you want her to think you donât care about anyone else except her, donât
you?
âJoshua Lynch, you have no right to be a man, much less a father! â
As soon as he heard this, Joshuaâs expression darkened. Despite that, however, he did not try to
explain anything to Luna. âIf thatâs what you think, then thereâs no point changing your mind.â
âJoshua,â All of a sudden, Fionaâs feeble voice rang out from behind them. Her voice sounded so weak
that it felt as though her airway would collapse at any moment. âCan you help me buy some fruits?
Nigel will need to replenish his vitamins after the transfusion later.â
Fionaâs voice sounded so close to them that Luna could not help frowning. As soon as she lif ted her
head, she caught sight of Fiona standing at the door, looking so weak and frail that the wind might just
blow her away.
Joshua, too, turned around. As soon as he saw Fiona, he immediately frowned and lunged over to prop
her up. âWhat are you doing out here?â
âI ⦠â Fiona bit down on her lip and answered in a feeble, pitiful voice, âI heard you arguing with Luna
Sheâs misunderstood you, but you didnât even try to explain yourself. I was so upset to hear this that Iâ¦
â
âGo back into your room.â Joshua frowned upon hearing this. Then, he picked Fiona up and set her
down gently on her hospital bed. âGet as much rest as you need. The blood supply is on its way, so
youâll feel better soon. Donât run around.â
Fiona bit down on her lip and nodded obediently. â Alright. Iâll obey your commands.â
With that, she even snuck a triumphant glance at Lunaâwho stood outside the doorâwhile Joshua
was not looking.
Luna narrowed her eyes and sneered upon seeing this.
Suddenly, Joshua strode out of the room and said, â Since Fiona wants to talk to you, you should just
sit there and talk to her for a while. Iâm going to buy some fruits for Nigel.â This is property © .
With that, he shoved Luna into the room and shut the door behind her.
The room was pin-drop silent.
Luna stood by the door while Fiona leaned against the headboard. The two locked eyes with each
other but did not say a word.
After hearing Joshuaâs footsteps grow further and further away until they disappeared, Fiona curled her
lips into a smirk and said, âI didnât think youâd come.â
Luna sneered. âJoshua was even willing to kidnap his own son so that he could donate blood to you.
How can I not come along?â
Fiona smirked and lowered her head to toy with a few tendrils of her own hair. The sickly look on her
face had disappeared entirely and was replaced with one of conceit and serpent-like slyness.
She let out a sigh and said, âActually, Iâve told him since the start that even though Nigelâs blood type is
compatible with mine, itâs still not a good idea to use a childâs blood. Who knows whatâll happen if I get
transfused with his blood? Maybe somehow, he inherited your misery, and his blood will cause me to
have a bad reaction.â
She continued with a chuckle, âBut Joshua told me that itâs fine. Even though Nigel is your son, heâs
Joshuaâs, too. Since he couldnât transfuse his blood into my body, as long as Nigel could, heâd bring
him to the hospital and let him donate blood to me.
âHe even told me that since Nigel is his son, I should think of it as Joshua himself transfusing blood into
me and asked me not to stay mad at him anymore.â
With that, Fiona lifted her head and shot Luna a somewhat helpless smile. âDonât you think heâs
childish?â
Luna clenched her fists upon hearing this. It turned out she was right.
The reason Joshua had wanted Nigel to donate blood was so he could get on Fionaâs good side!
Seeing that Luna had bought her story, Fiona felt even more triumphant.
