" Fauu!! " A lady still dressed in her PJs while it was past 12PM called out to her maid. The said person whose attention was needed emerged with elegant steps, a look of disbelief masking her earthly features.
" Why are you giving me that look, Fau?" same lady asked again, but this time she was sitting upright with her hands akimbo.
" C'mon young lady! Do you want me to divide myself into pieces so I can serve you more diligently? " Fauu returned her question with another one. She gave her a little pout before settling down next to her on the white couch. The white couch that nearly broke her back the day before because of the strength she put into cleaning it.
"This girl you've started disrespecting me. I've been waiting for my breakfast fa"
" Coming right away ma'am. If only you'd be more patient " Fau murmured before making her way to the kitchen.
She transfers the fluffy pancakes she just prepared to a ceramic plate; prepared a hot cup of coffee then stalked with calculated steps to the dinning room. Her boss, Sarah; Lady S for short, skipped to the dinning happily to enjoy the best pancakes in the history of pancakes.
After breakfast, Lady S and Fauxeeya sat on the lush carpet to finish up Sarah's assignment. Apart from being a maid to Sarah, Fau was also her teacher in a way. Fau wasn't opportuned to further her education up to the university but learnt alot in her few years associating with Sarah. Sarah also helped her download alot of useful videos on YouTube, payed for a few online classes and so, within a short time, Fau was a software developer.
Once the clock clicked 2PM, Fau packed up her stuff and bid her boss goodbye. On her way to pick up her younger brother from school, she reminisces how her life took a huge turn since she met Sarah. Truth be told, she sees her more like a sister than a boss. Nonetheless, she never fails in discharging her duties.
"Addaa'' her little brother's voice, Umar pulled her back to reality. She ruffled his curly Fulani hair before interlacing their fingers. They walked home hand in hand with both siblings exchanging turns to tell the other about their day.

" Assalamualaikum" Umar and Fau both sent greetings of peace unto the people of the house.
Her aunt who was sitting by the couch directly facing the door replied their salam and welcomed them.
"On warti na?( Welcome back) "
"Eh. Hope everything's fine" Fau asked like she normally does every single time she comes back from work.
"Yes Alhamdulillah " her aunt, Amma replied. When she was done talking to Fau, she picked up Umar and placed him on her lap then went ahead to ask him about his day. Being his favorite thing to do, Umar narrated all the happenings of his day to his aunt. His aunt whom he has grown to respect as a mother.
After launch, Fau prayed her Zuhr then slept for a few hours. It was past Asr when she woke up so she prayed her missed prayer, recited a few pages of her Qur'an then went downstairs to help Amma and Ilham- her cousin-to cook dinner.
After cooking dinner, Ilham, Fau and Umar sat on the kitchen floor and ate from the same plate. It was one of their favorite things to do; eating from the same plate. It strengthens the bond between them.
Fau put Umar to sleep before retiring for the night. Ilham had turned off the lights already when she went into their room. So she lit up a touch light then worked for a few minutes on the laptop that Sarah got for her. Since she was knowledged enough, Sarah suggested she should try developing her app.
A few minutes after working, she turned off her laptop, turned off the torchlight then laid flat on her back to relieve her backache. She slept off almost immediately while she silently said her azkar.
That was Fauxeeya's life. It was as if someone had pressed the repeat button on her life. She went on like this everytime with little to no changes.
