"ARIA, WHAT THE fuck are you doing?" Kade groaned, gawking at the sight of Aria standing on the table as she kept the sport supplies back into the shelf.
The two of them were told to put the sport supplies back into the shelves since they were the team captains. So here they were, clearing the small, messy sports storage room.
"Oh you know, I felt short so I climbed the table." She smiled, sarcasm lacing her tone as she rolled her midnight eyes at him.
"Get down from there, you're gonna trip." Kade sighed, raising his hand so she could hold it. A worried look plastered on his face, he had always been protective of the chaotic girl standing in front of him.
"Who's gonna put these back then?" She arched an eyebrow, pointing at the boxes full of equipment.
"I'll do it," he declared.
"Just get down," he sighed as he waved his hand, encouraging her to hold his hand.
"No, I'll do it." She argued as she continued putting the stuff back into the shelves.
"Aria." He drawled out in a warning tone, narrowing his eyes at her.
"Kade." She imitated his tone, reflecting his expression.
"Aria, seriously? Get down before you slip off the table!" He scolded her, while she simply ignored him.
"Stop acting like my mom, Kade. Hell, even my mom doesn't give a fuck about me." She scoffed, rolling her eyes at him.
"But, I give a fuck about you. So, get off the table." His blue eyes were narrowed at her as they stared deep into each other's eyes for a quick second.
She smiled at him, "That's nice to hear."
His lips twitched into a small smile as he thought she finally gave in.
"But, I like being taller than you." She let out a laugh as she witnessed his smile twisting into a scowl.
"This is your last chance, Aria. Get down or I'll drag you down." His voice was low as he spoke.
Aria blinked at him. Twice.
"Oh no! I'm so scared!" She spoke sarcastically, feigning a scared expression.
"Now, you should be." He mumbled lowly, glaring at her.
She scoffed, rolling her eyes at him, "Yeah? What are you going toâ."
"Kade!" She shrieked as he grabbed her legs and threw her on his shoulder.
"What do you say now?" He smirked as she gasped at him.
She innocently smiled at him, "Let me down, please."
"I thought you liked being taller than me?" He chuckled as she sent him a look.
Only if she wasn't on his shoulder, she would have thrown a bat at his face.
"Oh wonderful Kade, can you please do the honour of letting me down?" She batted her eyelashes at him, sending him a fake smile as she tried her best to act angelic, the one thing she never was.
Aria was anything but angelic. Even, the devil would run away from her claws and her poisonous tongue. Her sharp glares were enough to make a person beg on their knees, her lethal words only making the situation worse.
But, Kade - oh he was something totally different, maybe that's why they always fought with each other in the past. They were so alike yet so different.
Even if they always fought and got under each other's skin, they were days where they would talk and laugh with each other.
Those rare days, where they would laugh with each other, had become their every other day.
"I shall, my lady." He muttered, putting her down onto her feet.
"Now clean up, slave." She snorted, pointing at the equipment in the boxes.
"Right. And, what are you going to do?" He asked, arching an eyebrow at her.
"Watch you do work," she sweetly smiled at him as she took a seat on the table.
"Fine by me, since there's not much work anyways." He shrugged as he started putting the equipment back into the shelves.
Only a few minutes had passed and Kade -
"Aria, help please?! These tennis balls keep slipping out of my hands." Kade groaned as he bent down to pick up the tennis balls which were sprawled out on the floor.
"What do you say now?" Aria hummed, devilishly smiling at Kade as he gawked at her.
"Oh wonderful, honourable Aria, can you please do the favour of helping me?" He pleaded, sending a small frown.
"That's it." She hopped of the table as she bent down to help the blonde.
But, Aria wasn't just going to pick up these tennis balls.
"Why the fuck did you throw a tennis ball at my back?" Kade scoffed, glaring at her.
"What? I did?" She frowned in confusion, acting innocent.
And, they went back to clearing the stuff but Kade wasn't having it.
"Why did you throw a shuttlecock at me?" Aria scoffed, holding the shuttlecock in her hand.
"What? I did?" Kade imitated her, a small smirk growing on his lips.
"I see what you're doing there, Lennox." She narrowed her eyes at her while he innocently smiled at her.
And within twenty minutes they were done clearing the boxes, right on the lunch bell.
"I'm fucking exhausted," Kade groaned as he wrapped his arm around Aria's shoulder and leaned on her, placing all of his weight on her.
"You weigh like a fucking elephant," she scoffed as she tried to push him off.
But, Kade didn't bulge at all, "That's very rude of you," he rolled his sapphire eyes at her, leaning more on her.
"Okay fine, how about a baby elephant?" She asked, a cheeky smirk growing on her lips.
"I'll remove my fucking shirt and show you how much of a baby elephant I am." He scoffed, staring hard into her eyes.
"Hmm, why don't you then?" She challenged, her eyes gleaming with pure mischief under the afternoon sunlight.
He smiled, his eyes were glinting dangerously with specks of gray seen underneath the sun's rays.
His eyes shone so impossibly blue that she'd spent her childhood believing he had his own sky inside of him.
He moved his face closer to hers, "Just say the word and I'll rip my shirt off for you, Aria." He lowly murmured into her ear, sending her devilish smirk.
She blinked, still processing the words that left his lips.
She parted her lips, trying to find something to retort something back but she was too busy feeling the butterflies dance in her stomach as Kade stared back at her.
She started of, "I â."
"Hello, my favourite pair of childhood sweethearts!"
The loud voice made the two turn their heads around, only to see Luca walking towards them with his usual, charming smile dancing on his lips.
"Is it only me or what? The atmosphere around you two doesn't feel the like the usual." He hummed, looking in between the two as he wrapped his arms around both of their shoulders.
"Shut up, Luca." Kade grumbled as they walked towards the canteen, the students making for them as if royalty were walking among them.
Unlike royals, the three didn't need to wear crowns to show that they're royals, their auras were enough to make people bow their heads at them.
"Oh, someone's moody." Luca teased, rolling his eyes at Kade who sent a lethal glare at him.
"Isn't he always?" Aria mused, glancing at the group of girls who were blocking their way but they soon ran away once their eyes met Aria's.
"Damn Ari, you scare them all away." Luca let out a laugh as he pointed towards the students looking away from her gaze.
"So? Let them be scared." Aria sent Luca a small, evil smirk as she continued walking with her held held high.
"Where were you three?" Blake arched an eyebrow at the trio as they took their seats on the table.
Ellis smirked, looking in between Aria and Kade who were sitting next to each other, opposite her. "Probably fucking each oâ."
"Ellis!" Blake hissed, glaring at the red-lipped devil.
"I wanted her to complete that sentence." Luca chuckled, giving a proud thumbs at Ellis.
"I second that." Isabella chirped, smiling at Aria.
"All of you need to calm the fuck down." Aria sighed, resting her jaw on her hand.
"Including you." Aria scoffed, poking Kade's muscular arms.
"What did I do?" Kade frowned.
"Okay, Okay! Before you two start flirting again which you so call fighting." Luca started off, smiling at the pair.
"Luca." They both drawled out warningly, eyes narrowed at him.
"What?" Luca innocently smiled, fluttering his eye lashes at them.
"Don't do that. You look ugly." Kade scrunched his face in disgust.
"And, I agree with him. Put some make-up at least." Ellis scoffed, her lips twisted into a scowl.
"I think pink glitter eyeshadow would be nice." Isabelle advised, grinning at Luca who replied with a mere scoff.
Luca shook his head, "No. Pink is too pink. I think â."
"Weren't you going to say something?" Blake sighed, arching an eyebrow at Luca who stopped his sentence mid way and blinked at Blake.
"Oh right!" Luca clasped his hands together, "Thanks for reminding me Blake, unlike these people." Luca smiled at him and then glared at the others.
"I'm throwing a party at my house on Saturday!" He announced with a big grin.
"Tomorrow is Saturday." Ellis pointed out with a scoff, rolling her eyes at the boy.
"So everyone is coming, right?" Luca asked with a small smile which only grew as everyone nodded, besides Kade and Aria of course.
"So Ari, are you coming?" Luca asked with a small smirk.
"I am." She devilishly smiled.
"That's our girl!" Ellis and Isabelle cheered, both of them grinning at Aria.
"Aren't you gonna ask me?" Kade scoffed as he glared at a smiling Luca.
"No. If she's coming, you're coming." He shrugged, a huge grin directed at Kade.
"You're right." Kade mumbled, looking over at Aria who was discussing her outfit alongside Ellis and Isabelle.
"Aren't I always?" Luca snorted at him.
"That's usually me." Blake scoffed.
