Neil:"I want strict security for him. Make sure no matter what. He shouldn't get bail."
Acp:"Don't worry Mr. Malhotra I'll make sure of it "
Police Man:"Sirrr!!!(He screamed causing everyone to look at him to see Kunal having a gun in his hands which he stole from the police inspector)
Kunal:"This won't end at this Neil. You have to lose something like I did"(As he finished gun shots were heard from the warehouse as everyone froze in their place.)
Everyone froze in their places unable to understand what happened. Kunal falls to the ground holding his stomach as blood flows out of it. Ahana who had came in front of the kids opens her eyes to see that both of them were fine. She then feel weight on her shoulder and turns to see Neil leaning in her as his eyes close. Ahana eyes widen as she turns to hold Neil.When Kunal shot at Ahana Neil came in the middle causing him to be shot.
Ahana:"Neil!"(She holds him as he slides down. )"Neil plz...plz keep you eyes open "(She cried )"Call a ambulance for god sake"(She yelled at the police officer )"
Acp:"It is on it's way maam"
Ahana:"Neil...neil plz..you can't leave me neil.."(Ansh and Aryan also started to cry as they shake their father to get up)
Ansh:"Papaaa"(The ambulance came and took Neil to the hospital. Ahana and The kids also went along in the hospital van.)
At the hospital...
Neil was rushed into operation room while Ahana and the kids waited in the waiting room.
Aryan:"Mumma papa will be fine na?"
Ahana:"Yes baby. Papa will be fine. I promise "(She said kissing their foreheads as she prayed. As they waited her phone rang. She saw it was Angali and picked up the call)"Maa"(She cried )
Angali:"Ahana what happened.. Everything is fine na. Say something beta. I am getting really worried. The kids..they are okay right "
Ahana:"Maa..Ne...Neil..He...He got shot..Hospital "(She tried to speak but kept hiccuping due to crying so much)
On the other Hand, Hearing this Angali froze and dropped her phone. Rahul held Angali worried while Sid takes the phone.
Sid:"Bhabhi?"
Ahana:"Sid...Neilll..plz come fast"
Sid:"Bhabhi calm down we are coming. Text me your location "
Ahana cuts the call and texts them the location before turning to her kids who looked at her. She brought a fake smile on her face as she turned to them.
Ahana:"Baby mumma has to look into some paper work. Can you both go with the officer. He will get you something to eat okay"(The kids nod as Ahana looks at the acp who nods at one of his inspector to take the kids out. As the kids leave, Acp turns to Ahana)
Acp:"Ma'am I know this may not be the right time, but this information is important. Kunal died few minutes ago. The bullet had hit a important organ and the doctors couldn't save him in time"(Ahana closed her eyes at this information. She didn't know how to react. She won't say that she felt happy that Kunal had died because no matter what he did he was still a human, but she also didn't feel any pain or regret from his death. At this moment all she cared about was Neil)
Doctor:(Coming out of the operation room)"Umm Mr. Neil Malhotra's relative?"(He asked looking at Ahana )
Ahana:(Rushing to him)"Yes..I am his wife. How is he doctor? He will be fine na?"
Doctor:"Calm down Mrs. Malhotra. We took out the bullet. Luckily it didn't hit anything else. The bullet was in the shoulder area so for few days he might have to have a cast on. Though yes he hasn't been up yet. We are giving him 12 hours. if he doesn't get up before then, then there are chances of him slipping into coma."(Ahana looked on shocked)
Ahana:"I...can ..can I see him?"
Doctor:"yes. we are moving him into normal ward. You can meet him there "(Ahana nodded )
Neil was moved into normal ward. Ahana asked the officer to give her few hours before she does any other paper work regarding the kidnapping case. She entered the wards to see Neil laying on the bed attached to wires and stuff.
Her eyes watered as she sat on the stood near him. She picked up his hands and held it in her hands and she looked at him.
Ahana:"Neil please wake up...Please I...I can't lose you. I already lost alot Neil. I lost mom..Dad...Rajeev. I can't lose you too Neil. Your family needs you. Kids need you..I need...I need you...I..I..I don't know why but I can't...I can't see you like this. Is everyone right...is Prabha maa right. Do..do I love you?...Maybe I do..Maybe I do love you. I...I love you. I don't know how, but I fell for you. I fell in love with you when I shouldn't have.Please wake up Neil...Please.."(She cried as leaned on to him)
She felt her hand being gripped tighter. She looked up to see Neil groaning as he slowly opens his eyes. Ahana eyes widen as she yells for the doctors. The doctors check him while Ahana stood near Neil.
Doctor:(Looking at Neil who was having a hard time staying up)"Everything is fine Mrs. Malhotra. This is great progression. Mr. Malhotra is absolutely fine now and is out of danger. Though due to the surgery we have given him medication. That will reduce his pain and give him proper rest for few hours. After he wakes up then we can do a proper check up and discuss any further things "
Ahana:"Thank you doctor"(The doctor leaves while Ahana sits down next to Neil and takes his hands in her own. He had fallen asleep again due to medication. )
Few hours passed... Ahana fell asleep holding Neil's hands as she leaned on the bed. Neil opened his eyes to get hit by white light. He blinked his eyes and looked around to see his family members around him. Some worried while other smiling in relief. Seeing Neil awake, His mother hugs him carefully before making sure he was okay. Neil nods and assures everyone that he is fine. He feels a weight on his hands and turns to see Ahana sleeping holding his hands. He looks up to see Angali smile.
Angali:"Let her be Neil. She hadn't slept for 2 days now. I remember when we talked on the phone. She couldn't even talk properly. All this must be so hard on her."(Neil looked at her as she slept peacefully holding her hand. He remembered how before he passed out , her voice rang in his ears. Her pleading him to keep her eyes open.)
Ansh:"Papaaa"(Ansh along with Naira and Aryan came in with sid)
Neil:"Shhh..."(He said pointing at Ahana )"You both are fine na"(Ansh and Aryan nodded. As Neil talked to his kids or to say whispered, the doctor entered)
Doctor:"How do you feel now Mr. Malhotra "
Neil:"I am fine Doctor "
Doctor:(Smiles seeing Ahana sleeping hugging Neil's arms)"You have a very strong wife Mr. Malhotra. She cares alot about you. Only after knowing that you are completely fine, She took a breath of relief"(Neil smiles looking at Ahana. The doctor did few normal checkup while other stood their watching)
Ahana moved a little in her sleep. She felt something move little under her. She opened her eyes to see Neil's hands moving slightly. She looks around to see the doctor, Her Family members and everyone around her looking at her. She look at Neil to see him staring at her as well. Her eyes widen in shock as she realizes the situation and stands up quickly leaving Neil's hands.
Ahana:"I..ah...Wh....(She looked at Neil)"Neil..you..your up"(Neil nodded trying to hide a smile )"Yo...your fine na? Doctor?(Ahana looked up to the doctor who smiled )
Doctor:"Yes Mrs. Malhotra don't worry. Everything is fine "
Ahana:"Thank you..."
Naira:"M..mumma aapki dress ko kya hua"(Ahana looks down at her dress to see it covered in blood )
Ahana"i...I.. (She looks at neil)"ketchup..I spilled ketchup on myself . I.."
Preeti:"Bhabhi..I brought a change of cloth for you"
Ahana:"Haan"(She goes with Preeti )
it was around 8 in the night when the nurse came to Neil's ward. She said that only 1 person can stay overnight. After a whole argument of "I can stay", Ahana spoke up.
Ahana:"Maa.."(Everyone went quite as Neil who was frustrated with them arguing looked up at her)"Maa I can stay. Anyways I slept...in the afternoon. Plus I'll call you if I need anything "(She said hoping they will not deny )
Angali:(Smiles )"Okay then it's final Ahana you stay here. Don't worry about the kids I'll take care of them"(Neil and Ahana hugged the kids. Ansh and Naira hugged their parents happily before heading home but something was off with Aryan. He hugged Ahana and didn't want to leave them. Ahana noticed this and asked him if anything was wrong but he said no and left with everyone)
Now it was only Ahana and Neil left. The nurse did the last check up of Neil before leaving the ward, not before handing Ahana a pair of blanket and pillow. As the nurse leaves, Ahana kept the pillow and blanket on the couch and walks towards Neil who was sitting up with the help of the hospital bed.
Ahana:"Should I lower your bed."(Neil nodded. Ahana helped lower his bed and kept his head on the pillow. As she adjusted his head on the pillow, Neil kept looking at Ahana. He felt something off about her. As she started to leave, he holds her hands )
Neil:"Are you okay?"
Ahana:"Yes...I.. I should be asking you that"
Neil:"I am fine Ahana. What is troubling you?"
Ahana:"Nothing Neil. Don't worry.(Changing the subject )"Anyways I finished the paper work for the acp and as for kunal...he...he died. After shooting you, he got Shot by the the police officer. Now you should sleep "
Ahana goes to her bed( the couch ) and lays down. She look towards Neil to see him looking at her. She closes her eyes as tears roll down her eyes.
Ahana:(in her mind)"I am sorry Neil. But I have to distance myself from you. I love you...I love you alot and I shouldn't. you only see me as your kids wife. So that's what I will be. I am happy with the respect you give me as that. I don't want to see you hate me. if ...if you get to know about my feelings... You .... you will hate me. I can't see hate in those eyes. I am sorry. I am so sorry "
