The night soon passed with Neil and Ahana being lost in the thought of their passed away husband and wife. The elders were excited and happy to see their kids starting a new life. Next morning at Malhotra house everyone was up and ready for the amazing day. The kids were off to school while the men of the house took a day off.
While at Singh house the same scenario was happening. Ansh was dropped at school by Ahana meanwhile Prabha and Sanjeev were busy in preparation for the welcome of Malhotra family.
Ahana:(coming back after dropping Ansh )"Maa what is all this ?"(she said looking at the decorations that were going on)
Prabha:(while placing new flowers in the vase)" What do you mean what is all this? The Malhotras are coming today Ahana. I told you right."
Ahana:"yes but the marriage is not fixed that you are doing all this decorations and renovations for"
Sanjeev:"its not much beta. Just making the house look a little presentable "
Prabha:"Anyways you go take some rest, but be ready in 2 hours. They will be here by 12"
Ahana:"sure maa.."(she said before leaving to her room)
The preparation went on. Soon it was 12. Ahana was ready in a beautiful dress. She was sitting in her room lost in her thoughts when she heard a car honk. Then she heard noises from downstairs telling her that the Malhotra were here. Her heart beat rose not knowing why. She, for sure, was not nervous. She didn't even want to marry anyone and is doing this for Ansh then why all this new feeling. She shrugged and just sat on her bed thinking about her confused future.
Meanwhile Downstairs...
Prabha:"come in plz.."(she said welcoming the Malhotras. They all entered and settled down in the hall. )
The elders got busy is talking about random stuff while Neil sat their with a dull face. He was confused as to why a new feeling inside him was arising. He didn't even feel this at the time of his first marriage. Shrugging the thought he started thinking about the talk he needs to have with the girl he is here to meet. His thoughts were disturbed by his mom.
Angali:"so where is Ahana?"
Prabha:"oh she is upstairs in her room. I'll get her."(Saying so she heads up to Ahana room. After 5 mins the Malhotras see Prabha coming down with Ahana. Ahana came down and settled down next to sanjeev who smiles at Ahana)
Sanjeev:"This is our daughter Ahana"(everyone talked for a while. Questions were asked to Ahana and Neil by others)
Rohan:"dad I feel we should let Neil and Ahana talk to each other privately "
Rahul:"yeah sure is that fine with you sanjeev "
Sanjeev:"Yeah sure. Ahana take Neil to your room."
Ahana:"okay papa"(she stands up and so does Neil. She signals Neil to follow which he does.)
In Ahana's room...
Ahana and Neil stood in front of each other awkwardly. After few mins of silence.
Neil/Ahana:(speaking at the same time)"I.."
Neil:"you say"
Ahana:"no no you can say"
Neil:"its okay you can say"
Ahana:"okay. I wanted to let you know that I am only doing this marriage for my son, Ansh. I just want him to have a father love and support. He is too young to understand that his father is dead but in few years he will start questioning me. And I will have no awnser to give him."(she said in a go. She looked up to see him looking at her with a shocked expression )
Neil:"I also wanted to say the same thing."
Ahana:"what"
Neil:"yes. My heart only belongs to my former wife Aarti. The only reason I am getting married is because of my kids. Aryan and Naira. They both are too small and need a mothers guidance. I guess we are on the same page. So do you want to do this for the kids"
Ahana:(nods)"for the kids "( They both stand there quietly for few min. Ahana looks up to see Neil looking at a photo on the wall. The photo was of her and Ansh.)
Neil:"is that Ansh?"
Ahana:"yes."
Neil:"He is a cute boy "(Ahana smiles)
They head downstairs to see everyone busy in their talks. They go and settled down at their spots as others stare at them.
Sanjeev:"so what is your decision Ahana beta"
Rahul:"Neil"(he said looking for an answer )
Ahana/Neil:" We are ready to get married for our kids "(they say as they look at each other.)
Everyone jumps in joy and Ahana and Neil are embraced in hugs by everyone.
Angali:(cupping Ahana's face)"welcome to the family Ahana"(while Ahana gave a small smile in return )
Prabha:"okay so let's eat Lunch its already 1:30"
Angali:"sure"(prabha starts heading towards the kitchen when Ahana stops her)
Ahana:"maa wait. you sit I'll go arrange the lunch "(Before Prabha could protest Ahana had left for the kitchen)
In kitchen...
Ahana enters the kitchen to see food already ready . She quickly reheats the food and takes the plates out. Just then Shruti and Preeti enter the kitchen.
Shruti:"Ahana"
Ahana:(sees them)"yes?"
Preeti:"Bhabhi we came to help you. Do you need any help?"
Ahana:"oh no no I'll manage"
Shruti:"okay give us the plates we'll set up the table "(Ahana nods handing the plates over)
In few mins the girls quickly set up the table for lunch and served lunch to everyone. Having such a large amount of people they had to eat in groups of 2.
Prabha:"you all eat first we'll eat in the second round"
Angali:"no need for that, the guys can eat first we'll eat later."
Neil:"No mom. You all elders eat first. We can eat in the second round"
Prabha:"but"
Rahul:"its okay Prabha ji. We can eat first and they can eat after us."(prabha looked at Ahana who also nodded her head indicating her to eat)
The elders eat their lunch soon followed by the youngsters. After lunch was over it was around 2:30. Everyone was seated in the hall when Ahana phone rang.
Ahana:(excusing her self she picked the phone up)"Hello..."
The caller:"Hello maam, Ansh's teacher speaking here"
Ahana:"yes maam is anything wrong"
Teacher:"actually Ansh got hurt and...(before she can complete Ahana heard Ansh crying )
Ahana:(getting tensed)"Ansh! Maam can I talk to him"
Teacher:"sure"
Ansh:"momma..."(he said crying )
Ahana:"Ansh baby what happened."
Ansh:"mumma its hurting "
Ahana:"don't worry baby mumma is coming"(saying so she cut the call and ran up to grap her bag as she came down she saw everyone looking at her confused )"Maa Ansh's teacher called. He is crying at school because he got hurt"
Sanjeev:"Is he okay"(asked worried )
Ahana:"idk papa he was crying alot. I have to go. (turning towards the Malhotras ) I am sorry"
Angali:"no beta dont be."
Rahul:"do one thing Neil go take her to Ansh's school anyways in 30 mins Aryan and Naira school will also end."
Angali:"yeah Neil go."
Ahana:"no it's okay I "
Angali:"It no problem beta. Neil go"
Neil:"okay maa."(Neil and Ahana bid bye and head out for the kids school)
