Ahana and Neil headed up while the kids ran back to their room to continue what they were doing. As Ahana and Neil entered their room, Ahana started rambling at Neil.
Ahana:"Neil what do you think bua ji wants to talk about. What if she says for you to divorce me. Wait it maybe about yesterday. I should have kept quiet. Why do I talk so much. Or can it be the fact that I am wearing a gown. or maybe because we stayed out the whole night. God I am screwed."
Neil:"Ahana Ahana calm down. I am sure it is nothing and even if it is something we will handle it together. Stop over thinking. You did nothing wrong. Not yesterday when we had the argument and not today when we stayed out or your wearing a gown. And as I said yesterday I would never agree to divorce you or marry anyone other then you."
Ahana:"I know Neil it's just things looked so serious downstairs. I wanted to change Bua ji's perspective on things,but along the way I didn't want to push her away from our family. We are the only onces she have left"
Neil:"You are not pushing her away from us Ahana. Whatever is happening, it is due to her actions only. And let me assure you that how ever she may be, she is our family so we will never leave her alone."(Ahana nodded)"Good now go freshen up we have to head down also."(Ahana nodded as she started to head towards the bathroom)"Also don't think I forgot about my morning kiss. After freshening up , I am taking my dose"(He said winking at her as she blushed and ran to the bathroom while he chuckled at her reaction)
After few mins Ahana was sitting in front of the dressing table in a yellow saree as she combed her hair. Neil entered the room dressed in a normal pant and shirt with his hair wet. He was rubbing his hair with the towel when he saw Ahana. He smiled as he went and back hugged her bringing her out of her thoughts.
Ahana smiles as she keeps the comb down and runs her hands through Neil's wet hair. He kissed her cheek before turning her around.
Ahana:"Neil we have to go down"
Neil:"I know but not before my morning dose"(he said bringing her closer while she blushed. Ahana looked at the clock before her)
Ahana:"Neil it is already 11 we should head down"
Neil:(Sulked)"Fine go"
He started to turn around when Ahana held his colar and pulled him closer as she tip toed on her feet and kissed him on the lips. It took few moments for Neil to register what happened before he himself started to respond as his hands rested on her waist pulling her closer if possible. After few mins they broke apart, breathing heavily. Ahana detached her self from Neil and fixed her outfit before running out. Neil also fixed his outfit a little before following Ahana. But the imagine of what happened few mins ago didn't leave their minds.
Downstairs...
Ahana and Neil reached down and Shruti Came and gave them breakfast before they joined everyone in the hall. The atmosphere still looked pretty tensed. Ahana and Neil got to know from Shruti that Bua ji had came out of her room today only and that too for breakfast. They also got to know that bua ji had not said a word about anything other then wanting to talk to Ahana and Neil. As Ahana and Neil sat on the sofa in front of buaji she looked up. But this time her eyes held something. All Ahana could make up was that it was not hate or jealousy.
Bua ji:"I..I know everyone must be really confused why I called you both to talk. Because I...I wanted to say I am sorry.(Everyone gasped) I am sorry that you had to go through so much just because of me. (Rahul tried to speak in between but Bua ji stopped him)"Wait Rahul. Let me talk for now. I am sorry Angali. Since the time you came in Rahul's life you have heard so many taunts from me. You have tolerated all my disrespectful behavior. You never onces talked back or tried to do any envy towards me. I am really sorry for all of those things"
Angali:"Jiji... please don't. "
Bua ji:"no Angali let me say it"(She turns towards Shruti)"I am sorry beta. I am sorry for ruining your wedding. I am sorry for giving you such bitter memories. I am sorry for judging your ch...character."(Shruti just closed her eyes as tears ran down them. She turned to Preeti) "I am sorry Preeti. I know you are from a more modern thought then anyone of us here and to sit quite and listen to all my taunts without a word in return shows how much respectful you are and same goes for you Shruti."
Preeti nodded her head no as Bua ji asked for her forgiveness. Yes, though bua ji had done really wrong with some people, in Preeti's opinion she hadn't been wrong with. Maybe because Ahana had taken most of the taunts and drama. Bua ji was still elder and Preeti didn't want her to apologize to her for this.
Buaji:(She then sighed and turned to Neil)"And I am sorry for everything I have said and done about Aarti and Naira as well.(Neil was just to shocked to respond like the other men of the house. Then bua ji turned to Ahana)" And Ahana. I am sorry to you too. For everything I have done to you. All the taunts and all the things I have said about divorce and you not being perfect for Neil. you are perfect for Neil.(Turning to everyone )"All of you are perfect for your husbands. The Malhotras have got the best Bahus in the world.(Turning back to Ahana)"And Thank you beta. Thank you for standing up to me in the most respectful way. You showed me that I was wrong. Yes it is hard to change ones perspective fully but I promise you I will try. Though it might be late, I will bring change in my life. Atleast then I might feel some good has happened in this life."
Ahana:"Bua ji it's never late to change for the good."
Buaji:(Smiled and nodded)"Angali you have really chosen gems for your family." (Looking at the whole family )"Now, I have booked a train ticket for today at 1 PM. I am leaving and before you all start blaming yourself or try to stop me. Let me tell you that this is neccessary. I have already created alot of drama in the past few day. You all need a break from me and even I need some time to think my thoughts through. Don't worry I am not leaving forever. I'll keep visiting as usual"
Though everyone knew this was necessary for bua ji and them, they also felt a little sad regarding this decision. Bua ji had tried to change her perspective for them. The least she deserved was support from them. But they also couldn't argue against her wanting some time to rearrange her thoughts.
Everyone had lunch with bua ji and Ahana was happy seeing her change of behavior towards Naira and Ansh. She acknowledged them now and gave them the respect they deserved. After lunch, Everyone bid by to bua ji as Rahul and Sid went to drop them off at the station. After they came back everyone seated in the hall again.
In the hall...
Rahul:"Who would have thought that Jiji would actually change her perspective "
Angali:"I know it felt weird but nice to see her like this"
Sid:"All thanks to Ahana bhabhi"
Ahana:"What? No i..did. nothing "
Neil:"No Ahana you did everything. We all have tried for multiple years to make Ahana change her perspective. But you... you didn't make her change her perspective you made her understand what she has done wrong. You tried to understand the behavior behind her actions which is why you succeeded "(He said looking at her while she smiled)
Preeti:"so now that all of that is over I feel like I need a break. uff"
Shruti:"I agree"
Rahul:"Why don't you kids plan a trip somewhere "
Neil:"A trip?"
Ahana:"If we plan a trip Mom dad you both are coming because even you need a break"
Angali:"Us? But"
Sid:"Yes mom Bhabhi is right"
Rahul:"Alright then why don't you kids plan a trip and let us know "
Ahana:"The kids summer vacation starts in 1 week then we can go."
Shruti:"Sid and Ryan's exams will also be over by then"
Rahul:"Okay then Neil make sure to move any meeting from next week to this week or the following week"
Neil:"Sure dad I'll look into it"
Sid:"Oh we have so much planning to do. Okay people first of all where do we want to go"
Shruti:"Let just go somewhere near. Like few hours of drive from home"
Preeti:"Okay than how about..."
One by one everyone started listing different vacation places but no one seemed to come to an agreement. Some places were to far to travel while others weren't ment for kids. This was supposed to be a family trip so everyone in the family should have a fun and relaxing time. This made searching for the perfect place hard.
Rohan:"Guys for the past 20 mins were are discussing this."
Sid:"so it's not our fault we can't find a good vacation spot "
Neil:(Who was busy scrolling through his phone finally looked up and said)"How about lonavala. It about 2 hours drive from our house. Has great natural relaxing environment. It's beauty is amazing and it is a perfect place for family vacation "( Everyone nodded in agreement, finalizing the vacation spot.)
Sid:"Great then bhai. I'll book a mini van and a resort for next week."
Rohan:"I'll look into the tourist places we can visit and other things like restaurants"
Neil:"Okay Bhai. Dad and I can finish up the office work"
Ryan:"Are we going somewhere dad?"(He said entering the room with Sameer and the 3 other kids)
Rohan:"Yes ryan, A family vacation for 1 week"
Naina:(squealing)"Holiday !!!!"(The little kids jumped in excitement as they hugged their parents while everyone laughed)
Ahana:(Picking up Ansh into her lap)"Yes baby holiday for 1 whole week"(She said pulling his cheek while he whine before he got of her lap)
Ansh:"Sameer bhaiya come"(Naira started to pull Aryan away from Neil while Ansh head Sameer and Ryan hand dragging them back to towards their room)
Sid:"Oh hello. Baccha party where are u going?"
Naira:"Planning chachu"
Ansh:"We have to plan for the trip na"(as they rushed to their room the elders were in awe at their cuteness)
